She was a punching bag for 100 years, gets released and is immediately recaptured by Ketheric, and needs to be saved again. That is not any kind of Mary Sue. If anything she's a Chuuni dork.

Like a good DMPC, the only thing she does is clear the path for the player characters. She starts the war against Moonrise Towers, breaks down the defenses, levels the playing field, and you have to do everything else.
it was extremely disappointing and gay to spend as much time as i did scouting the towers and planning as much as i did, on top of all the time i spent doing everything before, to then have the attack started and halfway finished by the time i got to the front door. in any of the campaigns i've played in we would have done it ourselves and aylin would only be there to deal with something she was uniquely suited to. then she would frick off and not interrupt our victory to declare her need to go have sex. you cannot tell me with a straight face that the end of act 2 wasnt thrown off by how obviously in love the writers were with her
