That's not an alternative, that's rewriting the scene to not include it.
JP line there is roughly: >The fact that I am the last one left alone, it was inevitable, wasn't it?
People act like this is hard to translate, but we have this phrase multiple times in almost every language. In America we say “there’s nothing we can do” or just “frick it”
>character gets an emotional death scene complete with sad music, teary goodbyes and a final speech >only for it to be completely backtracked later because the character somehow survived and got better offscreeen
Why do japanese devs always pussy out on killing characters?
You can lose all of your readers/fans in an instant if you frick up an established character. JP simply is like that and it's such an established setting that it happens in games like Resident Evil and even Gachas.
I hate when I’m playing a translated game and it says shit like senpai, chan, sama. Stfu those ain’t English words never finished persona 3 over that shit.

"It can't be helped" is a common expression in the Japanese language. I had a Japanese roommate and he would say this everytime something minor would happen.
Our milk expired so I can't eat cereal this morning?
It can't be helped.
Everyone always complains about can't be helped, but never suggests an alternative.
it is how it is
>it is what it is
>that's how the cookie crumbles
>so she goes
”There's no other way"。
That's LITERALLY what it means.
Not my problem
C'est la vie.
That's just japanese for it can't be helped.
it do be like that
Some things will never change…
That's the way the cookie crumbles.
I guess you could say it just can't be helped
Some of xiv en lines are pure ludo
That's not an alternative, that's rewriting the scene to not include it.
JP line there is roughly:
>The fact that I am the last one left alone, it was inevitable, wasn't it?
yes, I was making a little joke
>alas
"It's no use " or "what can you do" is something that americans actually say
'Oh well'
"No recall or intervention can work in this place."
because it can't be helped
It's clearly "there's nothing we can do."
Whatever.
C'est la vie...
Welp...
Figures...
That tracks...
That's just the way it is...
Nothing I can do...
I guess Black folk can't be helped
They think it don't be like that but it do
It is what it is
>what can you do?
>it is what it is
>such is life
>oh well
>whatever

That's the way she goes, sometimes she goes, sometimes it doesn't, it didn't go, that's way she goes
If you mind it you lose

I started noticing my mum saying this after it got memed here. 仕方ない
People act like this is hard to translate, but we have this phrase multiple times in almost every language. In America we say “there’s nothing we can do” or just “frick it”
>Language has popular phrase
Woah
>repeating the same phrase 9.9e+99 times is OK since it's le popular!
Yes
The irony in this post makes me wanna puke.

You get to have your cake and eat it too. This week we’re all sad so and so is dead, next week we’re happy he’s back and the show goes on
You can lose all of your readers/fans in an instant if you frick up an established character. JP simply is like that and it's such an established setting that it happens in games like Resident Evil and even Gachas.
dead characters don't sell merch
you've got to be joking
Even Halo did it
You're just mad about Gundam Seed.
it's fun to play
You know when it insists upon itself.
HAHA A FAMILY GUY REFERENCE HAHAH THAT SHIT IS SO FUNNY DOOOOOD LMAOO PETAH HAHAHAHA
>new female character appears
>the MC gasps and sounds like he’s having a brain aneurysm
Usually the first sign to me is that the game isn't fun and is usually accompanied by cringe long form cutscenes
I hate when I’m playing a translated game and it says shit like senpai, chan, sama. Stfu those ain’t English words never finished persona 3 over that shit.

The female characters don't look like trannies

>100h game has a total of 5 minutes of cut-scenes
Characters always make some kind of exclamation at something.
