Almost the first thing he does in episode 4 is use the Force to silence someone who was shit talking it. Besides, it would be kind of embarrassing for the blurb of the most iconic character in the franchise to be >Yeah he is kind of mediocre at using the force nowadays but hey he had really high potential before he got cooked to a crisp lmao
yea but then he went on cooldown and let the second one take off without even trying to stop it, not very master of the force to be out of force juice after a single ship.
Suppossedly because he was a cripple in an iron lung. The expanded universe made him god-like even after being burned because he looks cool int the samurai helmet
>can passively sense people through the force, like sensing Obi-wan when they first boarded the Death Star >can't sense Han Solo coming after his ass in a bucket of bolts
Umm Vaderkeks?
People who are stronger in the force are easier to sense. That's why Yoda can sense Anakin going berserk after his mom dies from the other side of the galaxy. It's also why Windu doesn't seem surprised when Anakin walks into the Chancellor's office despite being specifically told not to come, he sensed him from the second he entered the building.
Canon explanation: It's also possible for powerful force users to mask their presence with enough training and concentration. It's how Vader is able to get the jump on Luke in Episode V, or how Luke is able to sneak onto Darth Caedus' flagship in the Legacy of the Force books.
Real explanation: Bad writing
The nucanon nixed the midichlorian shit, so the only disadvantage to his extensive cybernetics now is that they get wrecked by zappy lightning.
One of the few positive changes that nucanon made (along with getting rid of the Vong). The "he lost flesh so he now has less midichlorians" thing was always stupid. So would a really big guy have more midichlorians? Would a force-sensitive Jabba the Hutt be the most powerful force user in the galaxy?
Midichlorians-as-force-power was always missing the point of those scenes in TPM
But yeah, Vader's cybernetics actually make him stronger by keeping him in a state of constant torment, the downsides being technical countermeasures and his physical movement being clunkier
Kind of speaks volumes about how weak the average Jedi was that Palpatine could deliberately nerf Vader and still send him out on constant Jedi hunting missions
Most Jedi really wouldn't have any counter against Vader, relying on force powers and lightsaber combat is a losing matchup basically every time
I feel like the only person who liked that fight with the negress in the Obi-wan show because of this, it showed a realistic trick someone might think to pull on him being roundly dismantled by him just being too skilled and experienced for it to work
>Office is full of ancient Sith artifacts >The dark side of the force surrounds him >He's familiar with ancient sith legends >He took control of the Senate just before Dooku told us that a Sith Lord controls the Senate
Guys I think this Chancellor Palpatine guy might be an amateur historian
>Oh, so you're familiar with the Jedi Order's force healing techniques >The what >Yeah, we can practically bring people back to life just by touching them, it's pretty cool. For some reason I've never been taught how to do this despite being one of the most powerful knights in the entire order, but your granddaughter will one day do it completely by instinct to save my nephew after she stabs a lightsaber through his guy
Since always cause hes fricking badass.
>I've been waiting for you, Obi-Wan. We meet again, at last. The circle is now complete. When I left you I was but the learner. Now, I am the master.
it's almost like OP didn't watch the movie
>Only a Master of the Darkside Darth
>"Darth" was originally supposed to be his actual first name, it only became an official Sith title years after the movies were released
The Darkside of what?
my ass, Black person
How do you respond without sounding mad?
Since whichever one from the original trilogy had Vader force choking someone through a video call.
Almost the first thing he does in episode 4 is use the Force to silence someone who was shit talking it. Besides, it would be kind of embarrassing for the blurb of the most iconic character in the franchise to be
>Yeah he is kind of mediocre at using the force nowadays but hey he had really high potential before he got cooked to a crisp lmao
since always? wtf op
his most signature acts are choking people from a distance with invisible magic
>chokes you through a video call from the other side of the galaxy
>watch the obi-wan show
>vades stops a ship from taking off effortlessly
I would say he's pretty good
the obi-wan show
now why the hell would you do that?
Because we actually thought for a period that we were getting an Obi-Wan story and not whatever the frick it was they served us instead.
yea but then he went on cooldown and let the second one take off without even trying to stop it, not very master of the force to be out of force juice after a single ship.
that shit was so moronic if vader was that powerful why did he never do anything like that in the original trilogy
Suppossedly because he was a cripple in an iron lung. The expanded universe made him god-like even after being burned because he looks cool int the samurai helmet
Shhhh
It came out? And it was disappointing?
>can passively sense people through the force, like sensing Obi-wan when they first boarded the Death Star

so how does count dooku walk in on obi-wan and anakin without them noticing in ep 3 until palpatine points him out then
Bad writing

so how does Anakin surprise Obi-Wan at the beginning of Ep 3 when he surprises him in the elevator
was he also masking his presence
Yes. Anakin was hiding in the force so he could sneak up on Obi-Wan for shits and giggles.
you DO realize both the jedi and the sith use the force right? It's not just some Jedi-only thing.
Vader is either top 3 or top 5 in the entire galaxy, depending on how badly you think getting turned into a Sith Kebab hurt his potential.
The nucanon nixed the midichlorian shit, so the only disadvantage to his extensive cybernetics now is that they get wrecked by zappy lightning.

Really homie
If one is to understand a great mystery, one must study all its aspects, not just the dogmatic, narrow view of the Jedi
>Office is full of ancient Sith artifacts
>The dark side of the force surrounds him
>He's familiar with ancient sith legends
>He took control of the Senate just before Dooku told us that a Sith Lord controls the Senate

>all its facets
he's a mater of divorce
