Hunt is a waste of beautiful gun designs and setting to make garbage fotm br pvpve slop.
what it needs is a deathmatch mode like in PUBG. Players need a place to practice gunplay without having to run 5 hours before they run into someone.

Same reason why a romero works but you frick up with a crown and king, those follow up shots puts you into a false sense if security. When you got one shot you make it count.
Is Hunt worth my hard-earned shekels? Tarkov pisses me off due to the gear imbalance favouring people who play it like it's their job.
If you can consistently get competitive gear within an afternoon or two compared to Tarkov's ≥month long grind I could be interested.
Hunt is nothing like Tarkov
You use in game currency to buy weapons for use in a run, if your hunter dies you lose the gear and the hunter
after each game you get a free reroll of recruitable hunters, one will always be a tier 1 Free character, the stuff he has can be fairly good or really shit, but its enough to do a few quick and don't care runs with some free hunters to earn some easy money to buy some good shit if you're strapped for cash.
"Competitive" gear depends on your play style, I seem to do really well just rushing people with a fricking macheté
One of the guys I play with did a weeks worth of games using only silenced pistols, a cheap early game weapon, and did well

I don't know what tarkov is but hunt needs a smaller map or more players per map. 12 is too small. I ain't walking around for 20 minutes only to get 1 tap by some actual Black person hiding in the bush.
It takes less than 10 minutes to find the boss and kill and and by that time the whole map is on your doorstep. Maybe you play to slow. Shift + W and big stamina shot.

The map isn't that big, it takes about 5 mins to run a diagonal across it. The real issue is the k/d prostitutes at 5/6 star elo that do nothing but play super safe sniper loadouts and just take potshots at you from 200m and run away if you try to push. It really turns the game into a slog whenever you encounter them, at this point if I suspect someone of having a sniper I just run away. Snipers in this game are just too safe if you keep your enemies at range, which is pretty easy to do.
I got into the first tarkov beta because the concept was exciting and I played during multiple wipes meanwhile I started playing hunt like a year ago and I must say that hunt is so much fricking better than tarkov
from gameplay, to atmosphere, to sound design, to guns it has it all
if you have a friend or two who play it, you should get it right fricking now
there is a reason that this is the only online shooter where the player numbers are RISING over the years
