You can easily keep up the big room forever with excube exchange.
There is no gacha for furniture this time around. You directly purchase everything. Collab items are AC, regular items are with renamed FUN points obtained by doing daily tasks, and all remade items from base PSO2 are via SG.
The SG shop remains pure greed when you remember the vast majority of those were FUN in the past.

Probably, already a lot of the furnitue you can buy using SG straight up. Which is kind of silly if you already have storage being taken up by it.

The movement is way too floaty, you slide everywhere
You go way too fast and have way too much vertical movement, bosses have no hopes of hitting you unless you want them to hit you
Small enemies basically don't even exist, and to counteract that every small enemy has one random long range attack they fire off in your direction, which still has no chance of hitting you but if the stars align it's purely out of accident from behind or a blind spot, though usually even if you stand still they miss
Just about every class is centered around counters, be it step or guard counters, so every fight just consists of mashing that
Every single encounter and fight feels the exact same. There is no variety in how you fight the enemies. It's all the fricking same because the player is way too powercrept in movement and counters. It's lame as hell and sucks ass.

For an MMO/Online RPG, NGS has an above average combat, but not a lot of things to use it against. The game play in general is getting to max level on a class and then do Urgent Quest (group content with boss fight), or daily, or just AFK while you Fashion (its extremely gacha tier) or mess around with the housing. There is also the option of going to PSO 2 base, but you need to download that file and it plays out like an older ARPG.

For all we know our character's ship could've been on the other side of the universe when the Starless attacked.

The action and collision cubes, the panel you can step on and the teleport are the most important items in the nu-FUN point store, my house has fully automatic doors, because of the collision cubes, you don't need to press anything the doors will open and close automatically.

PSO2 is dead playerbasewise, but you can still play it and i think they added back some of the urgent quests.
NGS is kind of shit but way easier to play through for what concernes leveling, gearing, etc.
It is free, just try it, combat is serviceable, but there is not much to use said combat on, there are guilds and whatever if you want social stuff, the main selling point of NGS is the fashion side of it, there is a ton of that shit and the character customization is among the best I have seen in any game if not the best, they added the creative space which is literally minecraft at home, you are given an island, and you can frick around with it, you can make it so people visit your place, or you can visit the place of others.

xiv housing really is abysmal in comparison. massive gil sink, need to bid on a house (if you're on a heavily populated server your chances of landing a house are about 1/50 or worse in the bid), forces you to stay subbed or you lose everything, and you need to use external plugins or abuse bugs just to even make a house that isn't basic as frick.
ngs housing might seem like a simple thing but it shouldn't be taken for granted. you get so much space, you can place so many objects, scale them, float them, color them. gp and sg are plentiful and if you need to grind for them you probably really don't play very much or wasted it like an idiot. then there's blueprints which are very nice and even prompts you to buy the items in question if you don't have them.
I rarely say anything nice about ngs, but the creative space update was good. even in base I wished for a better housing system like this and this was satisfactory. People may be complaining about the lack of battle content in the update, but if you ask me, it's not what the game needed now. In the future, I'd like to see more worthwhile raids that aren't trashy boring tower defense, I think that's what the game really needs next.

Why does this game do nothing against scalpers? Half the reason the market prices are whack is because of whales buying out shit to list them for higher prices. For example one day a Chrono shield is 5 million then some homosexual the next week buys them all up to repost them for 10 million and since the item is out of print because Sega is allergic to permanent cash shop items and loves fomo it stays unobtainable to all but the whale/Chinese game currency buyers.

I can see the money making logic behind it but all it does is frustrate players in the end so it doesn't seem like an effective long term strategy. Everytime I play this game I always wonder how much better it would be if it had different monetization systems in place because it's clear Sega is at a conflict with their own game design due to the existing monetization. Like they can't even make gameplay content because there's no way to monetize it for them. So that's why V2 is all about player quarters because they can monetize furniture.

I still don't see how NGS is a sequel to PSO2 at all when it feels more like a spinoff. Same as how is PSO2 a sequel to PSO1? God I hate Sega.
PSO2 was more like a spiritual successor than a sequel honestly. Took some vague bits and pieces from PSO and the PSU line of games and made something more modern. NGS is like a no-name studio looked at what they think PSO2 was and ended up trying to replicate it, but failing miserably at every single aspect. Mindblowing how it hasn't shut down yet, paypigs must hold it up hard.

All classes are buffed, all classes has new skills, skills are reset for free at any time, addon skill is RNG nonsense to add more stuff to your character (not require but frick), more classes were added (Waker is N-Summoner but JoJo, and Slayers is Gunblade prostitute). They added more ways to get SG after removing CM SG reward in Base.
