"Knowledge begins with the recognition of one's ignorance. The realization that the search for knowledge is unending. But when Gideon glimpsed into the will of Queen Marika, he shuddered in fear.
He finally connected the dots, and realized the fight was fundamentally for a fricking chair of no actual value. Which is the point: In 3/6 endings Marika still exist and get to cuck you once she gets bored of you, in the Goldmask ending she gets cucked by the Goldmask rune but still keeps the power, and then there is Ranni and burning the damn tree.
He didn’t he finally became redpilled (I guess literally since you turn all of Leyndell into a blazing, ashen inferno) to realize Tarnished were just pawns unless some drastic change happens.

Dark Souls question: is the Gargoyle Tail Axe worth it? I just beat the Bell Gargoyles, not sure on where to go, so just going around the map killing the minibosses and upgrading my weaponry. Level 34 by now.
It has a cool design but it seems very punishing, specially with the short stun on miss some weapons seem to have.
you can go back to the asylum for other reasons. If you got any keys they are probably for unlocking the lower burg, close to where you find Solaire for the first time.
It's honestly impressive how utterly shit the NPC quests in Elden Ring are. Half of them are just blatantly unfinished, the other half is inconsequential. Millicent's is vaguely interesting for the implications it carries, but then it's just... kind of over, and nothing about the world changes. Which is just a general problem this game has. The highest concentration of relevant boss characters that aren't insane in some way, yet absolutely no way to interact with any of them in a meaningful manner. All that lore and dialogue completely wasted on a game where neither matters at all.
Ranni was honestly not even a side quest, considering the amount of content locked behind her shit.
Nepheli's side quest is probably the biggest travesty of them all. There's so much there that was likely intended to tie into the story and be important, but then they cut all of it out. Her name ties directly to Hoarah Loux, her quest line has this giant gap where she just mopes in the basement until you bring her a bird, and then she teleports onto the throne of Limgrave for no fricking reason. You just know there was a whole segment where you discover the meaning behind her name, and her tie to Hoarah Loux, thus her ties to the royal bloodline, such as it is, and her claim to the throne of Limgrave. Maybe get some more backstory on the boss that reveals his name like it's a huge surprising twist, even though you haven't heard from him since the opening cutscene, and make that moment less of a limp fart.
>and then she teleports onto the throne of Limgrave for no fricking reason.
I mean, before it was patched, it ended right before teleporting to the throne room.
ER is a mess and most side quests are blatantly unfinished, like patches and the castanets.
Really upsetting how all these different faction (Round Table/Moghwyn/Volcano Manor/Raya Lucaria/Haligtree/Dragonpriests/Crucible Knughts) amounted to fricking nothing storywise and didnt even offer covenants.
There aren't that many great games on the scale of ER so I wouldn't mind paying for cut content as long as it's actually finished and all working perfectly. I already bought the game twice so might as well give Miyazaki-sama more of my money.
How did this loser gain access to Marika's mind?
He's all knowing
Did he? i dont recall that

At the end that should not be."

TECHNICALLY, Ranni's ending also involves letting the tree just burn.
She doesn't like the golden order and will in no way fix the tree.

I don't know about the axe but you gotta go down now
Into the Darkroot basin, I guess? Should I go back to the Asylum and use those keys I found?
The boss in the asylum will assrape you at that level, so at least do something else.

Find the Albinauric woman.
Marry her. Make albinauric children. Then come back.
All the memes make me wish NPCs had been more involved in the story.

The side quest effort was
Ranni>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
stuff>>>>
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
else that wasn't even finished on release
Can't blame the devs, Blue Puppet Woman with four arms pussy got me acting up.
It's amazing how everyone just used a guide on release just to get her ending.
Somehow more popular than the default shit ending.

Jesus Christ! Calm down man
>feeble Tarnished™... you're not fit to hold the Elden Ring™
wtf is his problem
>I know in my bones... A man can never be a woman...
>find the albinauric woman
>I can't tell him I did
Someone post the vocaroo of Gideon asking if the Tarnished put the Ranni doll in a jar and filled it with cum please, I lost the link

Maybe some of that cut content will end up in the DLC.
It would be immoral to charge for that content since it was made for the base game and is probably partially in the install files already.
They are repurposing stuff in the game about Miquella and charging you for it already.

>I already bought the game twice
You need the help of a doctor or a priest.
It was for PS and Steam Deck. Playing on Steam Deck is nice, ER runs surprisingly well on it so no regrets. Although the multiplayer is better on PS.
THE CALL OF LONG-LOST GRACE SPEAKS TO buttholeS.
Ah, you.
>Hey hey, Tarnished
I STILL think Volcano Manor should've involved a murder mystery sidequest where you have to inspect clues and interview everyone.
