Nah 1 or 2 refunds in a day won't cause issues. Abusing the refund system is more like requesting several in a short time frame. people even made videos of them beating games in under 2h with all achievs and refunding em with 0 issues.
They give a warning before they ban you. They will also take refunds if your over 2 hours or 2 weeks you just gotta give them a reason. Under 2 hours the system just automatically accepts - if your over then a human has to review the ticket.

Annie feels really generic in moveset. She clearly is supposed to be homage and twist on magical girls, but it just feel half-assed.

I never played skull girls. The controls on the herds game are super try hard. Like "press input within a millisecond or it doesn't count" levels of "Well, if we gove more lee way, then you may accidentlally trigger the move". I'm way too casual to be able to enjoy it.
TFH has a decent input buffer for reversal actions (done on wakeup or out of blockstun), four frames, but doesn't have any buffer outside that. If you want to do a perfect roundstart button, or respond to a superfreeze with a button etc. you have to be frame perfect, and the devs are resistent to adding extra leniency for some reason. Before the 2.0 patch there wasn't even a reversal buffer, and the devs were hesitant about adding it in the first place
TFH is my main game and I don't recommend it on the basis that the devs are shit and keep making it worse

As for balance, it used to be great but the devs have made some bizarre decisions in the last year. They almost exclusively nerf now and often target important parts of a character's kit. Velvet is the go-to example. She's a zoner with great keepaway but who has bad buttons and can't pressure close-range, but wasn't helpless because she had a god-tier safe-on-block metered DP. The 3.1 patch not only made it punishable on block but reduced its i-frames so it can trade, and the character wasn't properly compensated for such a big hole in her kit. Almost one year later everyone agrees she's bottom 1 but the devs have said they will never un-nerf her DP. The strongest character in the game is the devs' favorite and has never seen a nerf that wasn't accompanied by multiple buffs, and recent DLC character Texas is an abortion of character design.
I loved this game but it's being mishandled really hard and it'll probably keep getting worse, at least until the Season pass is done. Avoid for now, ask again in six months

I loved Skullgirls for it's unique artstyle and that it was a high quality, edgy, internet culture western game, but stopped playing after current devs kept raping it.
Should've done like other major fighting game publishers and released skullgirls turbo xx 3rd encore instead of fricking up the game that is already out.
There were only a couple frames changed until recently. Some pantyshots were altered in 2015, then nothing until this 2021 when some Mike Z references were removed after his forced removal.
I don't know why people keep wanting to play the 2013 version. Some of the most fun characters in the game are DLC. I'm not sure if the last character Robo-Fortune was released before the patch, but the gameplay experience doesn't seem making worse to have a few different frames. You could just grab a pre-Marie version of the game that doesn't have the HVS/Future Club rebranding and be fine imo, I'm told the new wave of DLC is pretty bland and overpowered

I never played skull girls. The controls on the herds game are super try hard. Like "press input within a millisecond or it doesn't count" levels of "Well, if we gove more lee way, then you may accidentlally trigger the move". I'm way too casual to be able to enjoy it.
TFH has a decent input buffer for reversal actions (done on wakeup or out of blockstun), four frames, but doesn't have any buffer outside that. If you want to do a perfect roundstart button, or respond to a superfreeze with a button etc. you have to be frame perfect, and the devs are resistent to adding extra leniency for some reason. Before the 2.0 patch there wasn't even a reversal buffer, and the devs were hesitant about adding it in the first place
TFH is my main game and I don't recommend it on the basis that the devs are shit and keep making it worse

As for balance, it used to be great but the devs have made some bizarre decisions in the last year. They almost exclusively nerf now and often target important parts of a character's kit. Velvet is the go-to example. She's a zoner with great keepaway but who has bad buttons and can't pressure close-range, but wasn't helpless because she had a god-tier safe-on-block metered DP. The 3.1 patch not only made it punishable on block but reduced its i-frames so it can trade, and the character wasn't properly compensated for such a big hole in her kit. Almost one year later everyone agrees she's bottom 1 but the devs have said they will never un-nerf her DP. The strongest character in the game is the devs' favorite and has never seen a nerf that wasn't accompanied by multiple buffs, and recent DLC character Texas is an abortion of character design.
I loved this game but it's being mishandled really hard and it'll probably keep getting worse, at least until the Season pass is done. Avoid for now, ask again in six months

I don't know why people keep wanting to play the 2013 version. Some of the most fun characters in the game are DLC. I'm not sure if the last character Robo-Fortune was released before the patch, but the gameplay experience doesn't seem making worse to have a few different frames. You could just grab a pre-Marie version of the game that doesn't have the HVS/Future Club rebranding and be fine imo, I'm told the new wave of DLC is pretty bland and overpowered
