Bad news guys
Smogon decided to intentionally make their replay site function worse a few weeks ago in order to deter web traffic
Unfortunately, that didn't pan out, and now with their monthly bandwidth bill due, they decided upon the heinous last resort of """accidentally""" deleting 3 years worth of replays from their servers; so anything you put up their recently is now "lost to time", unless you saved the garbage html versions with no graphics
I never thought Smogon would stoop so low, but here they are; all of this just because they let just anyone spam uploads...

Why would it be on purpose? If it was server costs or something, they surely could have found a way to get money from the community, they just would have had to be careful about it. Though I could be massively underestimating server costs, admittedly.

Probably nearly every replay I ever saved is deleted. Kinda sad tbh. I had a list of some, and some notes on a few if I ever wanted to rewatch them. To see them all deleted certainly stings a bit, I'll admit. Maybe I can use this as a sign to finally quit for good, not like I have fun.

but I've been actively working on my own mon fiction to replace Pokemon, so it just pushes me to work even harder

It's unfortunate, but most of the time I'm not going back to replays that are more than a month old. It's usually just sharing recent games with my friends when we're prepping for an event.
