bleach was only good in the soul society arc hence why bleach gays are nostalgia gays
Oh it does? I remember seeing a few eps of that at a friends house like 10+ years ago. Which was why I wanted to watch the show, but everything I've seen before that arc just sucks. Should I just skip ahead or brute force it?
the first episodes are literally slice of life stuff, bleach got its identity from the soul society arc but they do setup that arc so i'd just force myself to watch them
you won't like it unless you like shonen anyway
Tbh skip all the bullshit where he's a soul reaper/shinigami. Its not at all what most of the show is about and is honestly shit. I'd watch the first episode where he gets Rukia's powers just for some starting context, then skip directly to episode 16 where Rukia gets taken back to the Soul Society by Renji and Byakuya. The next few will be a training arc, and then they actually go to the Soul Society. The next 5 or so are a little meh but eventually you'll get to the fight with Renji (episode 30).
With this, you've sampled a training arc, some bullshit filler and then the big boss battle payoff. If you don't like what you've seen, you won't like the rest of the series because its just this same formula/style repeated over and over.
The only points in time where Ichigo was stronger than during his fight against Byakuya was during the full hollow transformation, after the dangai training, and after the royal guard training. Ichigo LITERALLY grew weaker because he feared his inner hollow so much.
>"You know how something is attacking the living world? We had power dampeners the whole time."
In fairness that's established in the SS arc itself, it's why Ichigo without even his shikai could remotely stand a chance against Renji.
It doesn't. The fights are so lazy, they remind me of Pivot stick animations I tried to make in 7th grade. They make them stand on air, because they're too lazy to draw environments and actual physics
The anime is mismanaged. Bleach as a story is good and Kubo actually does things most mangaka physically can't as Japanese box thinking bugmen, but the anime pads for time even NOT in the filler. I suggest anyone interested in Bleach to read it online for freesies obviously. I can not stress enough how weird it is the anime is managed like hot trash. The Hueco Mundo/Aizen arc is the best arc and those episodes DRAG.
Bleach became a big 3 for the anime not the manga. The anime is what made bleach iconic, like the soundtracks and voice actors. The manga has better art and less fillers but that's about it, Kubo was just a hack.
I will have to add as a Bleach fan tho, that even when the manga is pretty much the best way to experience the story, the ending arc is pretty fricking bad and got rushed because Kubo's body was literally falling apart at the time. At least it wasn't as bad as Naruto's last arc, but it wasn't that far off.
Well you got to understand, like with plenty of popular shounen series, the anime is made along the manga and even when it's a weekly series what happened in those Bleach manga chapters doesn't usually cover even half of the average length of an anime episode, so they had to do the usual filler-arc hell.
Now that's you thinking logically. Unfortunately, shounen anime is pretty much just a kids show and I guess the people making them figure that kids don't really give a frick about the story or pacing of it making a lot of sense, if they get to see cool fight scenes or maybe a breast jiggle every now and then.
>It's good because Kubo does what other Mangala can't heh
Like what, make his protagonist (who's apparently a super model) a super gentlemen who has nose bleeds and spasms if any woman even hints at sex?
Make the main love interest literally so forgotten and given the least amount of character development besides "I ..I LOVE ICHIGOOOOOO" despite spending less time with him than the frickin store shop owner?
Power creep? Making the odds stacked against the good guys until they unlock a secret trumph card in EVERY fricking fight?
What exactly has kubo done that wasn't the most bare bones generic shit. He's a master character designer, he WAS excellent at scene composition. He earned the number 3 spot, but that doesn't mean it was deep. He made the best manga to read on a train on the way to work.
Kubo's character design was beyond fricking dope. Every reveal of a new set of enemies has some crazy cool designs. Post bleach all shounen enemy reveals pale in comparison.
But that's the problem. They're just mannequins. Characters don't have personalities, they have archetypes.
Strong silent types are the same. Smug villains out the ass.
>but the anime pads for time even NOT in the filler
Most do, that's why I generally try to read manga over anime adaptations. Once you realize how long it takes characters to talk it starts getting agonizing. I can't even do something like watch FMA anymore.
I don't think so and this is from someone who loved the anime as a kid and has crazy nostalgia for it. If you're an adult (25+) and have watched plenty anime and read manga, not just shonen but other things, then it will feel too childish. Even something like Naruto Shippuuden feels like a very adult story compared to it because it does have much more mature themes and visuals than it, and we're talking about a battle shonen here
If you're cool with it being of its time and designs of the 90s and want a combination of "Ghostbusters Japan Version" and "Battle Tournaments in the Demon Realm": kinda shows, its well remembered for a reason. Also much like Bleach it will be "problematic" so Twitter will be angry, but so much the better.

Absofrickinglutely. My only gripe is the Anime cut a lot of the hijinks when Yusuke was still a ghost. Chapter Black is underappreciated kino. Botan is the best waifu out there

>Botan is the best waifu out there
Botan was as useless and abandoned as Rukia was. YYH and Bleach are painfully alike in that they both abandon the ghostbusting and original waifus to wank off in monster fights for fighting's sake

The video tape was a cool idea, but the pacing sucked and everything about Sensui was completely moronic. And then come the Yusuke ass pulls one after another.
Just stop watching/reading after the Dark Tournament and you'll be happy.

That gun arm was a total aspull, came out of nowhere it it seemd out of place, like, what the shit?
The first arc is the best arc
If you don't like it, stop watching it only gets worse from the end of SS onwards
I just watched the whole show, it's good IF you literally skip ahead every time
a) an annoying character talks
b) side characters are fighting, except for kenpachi fights
c) obviously all the filler
finished the whole show in a week, kind of excited about the new season
>Serious question, when does this anime become good?
haha no, you're mistaken, it STOPS being good after season 5 and then for some reason keeps running for another 12 seasons
bleach was good the entire time and the first part was top tier
I say this without a of irony or sarcasm, people don't like it because they are contrarians and its popular
>people don't like it because they are contrarians and its popular >because they are contrarians >contrarians >bleach was good the entire time >I say this without a of irony or sarcasm >bleach was good the entire time
we don't count filler
the manga was very solid, and the manga adapted content was great
well, ofc, except for the last arc which was clearly rushed, but thats a different issue
Watch the first arc. If you liked it then proceed to the second. If you're getting tired of it, stop, because the third arc it's the same shit but with more backstories and endless flashbacks. If you want to keep your sanity after the third act, stop after Aizen and Ichigo fight. The plot is reasonably done after it.
If you want to go balls deep into Kubo land, though, follow the Black and orange rabbit, and don't stop.
If you don't like it then you are legit moronic.
But until ichigo enters soul society it's bland.
The morons who say that only the soul society arc was good are idiots who watched a specific video by a moron trash talking the manga and spouting misinformation and later deleting the video. But his moronation has spread so far that idiots repeat the same shit to this day, most of them haven't even seen the video they just heard it from other fellow redditors.
Like all shonnes its just shit. Naruto, one piece, bleach and all shonnes are just shit. If you like one of those but dislike the others you're straight lying. They're the same shit.
Aside from the filler arcs (which aren't necessarily bad as they are well..filler. they add backstory), there's a reason there are so many nostalgiagays for it. Putting aside One Piece which is somehow still ongoing continuously, Bleach(as anime) is was alongside Naruto as the big "battle shonen" of the early 2000's. They both had their strengths and weaknesses; Naruto finished its run and gave rise to Boruto as a next-gen spinoff, but Bleach was never finished properly - the anime proved too fricking expensive to animate when Kubo wanted an uncompromising finish to go along with the manga, so it got dropped...but thanks to the outcry it got picked back up and given everything the wanted so he's going to do the last 2 big final arcs to conclude the anime and manga at the same place, finally.
Bleach had a great ensemble cast and that's part of its strength, where each of them would be given time to shine, bad and good guys alike (and those that move from one side to another as things progress). You learn about their history, their abilities, their characters etc. So if all you want is a focus exclusively on the main characters and big battles, it has that, but if you don't care about all the others it may seem to drag for you. Also this was back in the day when there was no objection to having tons of different character designs including for the women, so enjoy that. Anyway, its a battle shonen, but its a pretty well made one from its era that banks a lot on a large cast.
Glad its coming back and hopefully we'll get a game from the final seasons; there's more than enough characters now to make a great fighter be it Xenoverse 2 or DBFZ style.
>where each of them would be given time to shine
Seriously? Chad and Orihime got sidelined extremely hard, extremely early, and they were both from the OG protagonist squad. I don't think either of them did much of relevance after SS, I pretty much only remember Chad getting his ass beat, and Orihime either getting kidnapped or playing the medic while cheering on Ichigo from the sidelines.
Which such a large cast you're not going to have each of them always equal, but Chad (after being sidelined for a time) comes back later with a massive power increase - and you learn the reasons for it too, especially after they go to fight on the Hollows' home turf. Orihime is always an important character not just being a love interest, but the reason she gets kidnapped is her power is specific to Aizen's plan in an arc - she's not the greatest battler but we learn that it isn't just that she "heals" but the way she does it is important for other stuff later on. Its the same way that Uruu is kinda sorta sidelined too in the middle of the series but... is going to be MASSIVELY important in the stuff yet to air in October as a lot of it concerns his people/powers.
>to conclude the anime and manga at the same place, finally.
Oh god I hope not. That was one of the biggest let downs I've ever experienced after hyping up Ichigo's new powers so much. My biggest hope is that he completely rewrites the abrupt ending, or barring that, at least spend some time exploring the aftermath and wrapping up some of the biggest plot holes.
I meant how they were going to finally do the remaining arcs that were part of the core plot instead of leaving after the Fullbringer arc when the anime stopped, since there is a lot of seriously big shit yet to happen. However, it doesn't mean its going to be the exact same ending or as abrupt - I'm almost positive they'll have a lot of additional wrap up after all this time. Hell, even during the last time the anime ended they added a lot of wrap up stuff that wasn't in the manga to make it feel even kinda sorta like it was an ending, so I expect that this time they'll go all out beyond the manga. Kubo's pretty much has a blank check this time and he got all the old VAs back so this is the chance to make it a masterpiece.
>to conclude the anime and manga at the same place, finally.

its good on and off
Bleach could really use a recut to trim padding and filler(although some of the filler is actually decent the placement is bad)
Id say reading the manga is better but bleach had really good music and Im a filthy dubgay who likes JYB
I’m currently rewatching it now cause of the new season which I never read but heard was really good despite the ending. When I first watched bleach I was pretty harsh on it and thought the overall narrative was fairly mediocre. The characters were def the best part. Currently on the rewatch I am midway through soul society, and even though I do appreciate some of the foreshadowing and even some deeper themes I didn’t notice the first time, the writing and positioning of events and reveals could’ve been done way better. My memories of Ishida vs. Kurotsuchi were way better than what actually happened.
i kept watching and kept watching hoping it'd get good. it never did. that black woman getting naked in the spring within the first i want to say 50 episodes was enough for horny teenage me to go "hey alright, maybe this is worth watching". it wasn't
have they given "i don't need ability upgrade" strongman a second tier yet? logically that's what's gonna happen to keep interest from fans
Third since there's the base zanpakuto then there's shikai and then finally bankai also the gacha game has something called beyond bankai and these are it.
I'm pretty sure these versions of the soul reapers are designed by kubo but completely non canon for now.
>start getting bored around the vaizard arc in the manga and quit shortly after >read up on the stuff i missed on the wiki >apparently ichigo also has quincy powers
yeah, it makes sense why the anime got cancelled. the dude was a half everything. orihime having localized time reversal or whatever was pretty bullshit as well.

He got lucky and threw a toad at him as he was about to switch bodies again. >Goku didn't finish the job with Freeza, leaving Future Trunks to deal with him >Jobbed against Cell, Gohan was the hero of the arc >Killed Boo
Yeah it's clear you never read or watched Dragon Ball.
Goku rarely accomplished shit for most of Part 2.
it's always like that >we have some convoluted and super complicated way to explain why we can do this within the first 30 episodes >after that it's like second nature and never mentioned again unless a trick is needed for some fight at episode 800
Kino opening.
All openings until the end of Soul Society are great, but Asterisk is still the most memorable for how stylish it is with its bright colours, thick lines and character focus.
It's a combination of Kubo's shitty writing and horrible pacing >40% of every issue already happened in the previous one, about 40% is actual story happening and the rest are characters going NANI? or smugly saying one-liners in preparation for the next issue >Ichigo(and other select characters) gains new powers (again) >none of the good guys die with a couple of exceptions >"rule of cool" instead of characterization >absolutely no stakes
Also the fanbase was terminally mentally ill.
Kubo is actually a good writer and it shows in some of the short contained stories within Bleach. The problem is he's not meant for the weekly release schedule. The whole thing got away from him when the popularity exploded and he had to make changes on the fly within short windows.
And now Bleach is coming back full force with an anime and manga revival while Oda got an ultimatum from SJ to either finish the manga quickly or get axed. It's like a cosmic injustice was corrected.
The witch one shot got a second chapter, and then bleach got a hell chapter which seems like sequel bait about how hell is real and spirits who are over a certain spirit power (Captains) don't reincarnate when they die and go to hell instead.
When people die on Earth, they become a soul in soul society, and eventually lose their memories of being alive. Spirits are also born in soul society when spirits have children. When a spirit dies (excluding captain level spirits) they reincarnate in on Earth.

Ichigo's dad wasn't a regular human person, he was a soul in a special Gigai that kept Misaki from self-destructing.
>Hated and criticized Bleach during highschool ever since it aired on [AS] >Decide to rewatch it 10 years later to give it another chance >STILL hate it
I don't see how anyone could've liked this series out of the Big 3. Every FRICKING FIGHT has the same damn formula: >"Heh. You'll never defeat me, Bleachigo." >"No U!" >Clangs swords for a few frames >Shoulder gash >"Keh--!! What was that technique..?!" >"Allow me to self-indulge to you my ability to you: This is my Zanpaktou, /Zubantetsukyu/. It allows me to throw it at an opponent because I said so. I don't think the audience understood that just by watching what just fricking transpired, but I just had to make sure by explaining it to the dumb, blind and deaf." >"Heh. How progressive!" *He was able to throw his Zampaktou -- BECAUSE HE SAID SO?!* >"You're the only person who's seen this advanced technique And also -- THE LAST." >Clangs swords for another few frames >Cut in and out between a tragic flashback for the up-tenth goddamn time >I was never good at throwing things, except tantrums. That all changes when I met you, Friend-chan. >*This is bad! If I don't do something fast -- I'm going to suffer another shoulder gash!* >You were the only person who was able to understand me...and I betrayed you. >Epic Ah-HA moment >Slow-mo stand off clash >Friend-chan...I hope...that you can forgive me... >Sudden shoulder gash that take up the whole frame >"Kuuh--! But...HOW...?!" >"It was easy: When someone throws something at a certain velocity and speed, sometimes it's hard to dodge it. So, I figured at the right moment if I saw it coming, I'd just move out of the fricking way." >"I see..." >*Friend-chan...do you think I could learn from Bleachigo...?* >*NODOBY KNOWS WHO I REALLY AM credits start playing*
WORST.
SHOUNEN.
EVER.
As opposed to naruto: >Naruto: Sasuke no! Please let me suck your dick Sasuke-kun!!! >Sakura: No, frick you Naruto, I'm going to suck Sasuke's dick!!! >Sasuke: You people can't understand my deep dark past, I will kill both of you, later... >Orochimaru: Come Sasuke, it's time for my daily dick sucking.
Naruto has just about the same problems as Bleach with it's fights, but I'd say it one-ups Bleach by a few margins in the beginning with it's training sequences, mind game scenarios, the situational fights and character interactions (though annoying at time.), but it falls off HARD during the Mistwhatever Village Mission for being too goddamn long and the dreaded tournament arc (or was it 2 arcs?).
Shitppoodick is even worse and is just Inuyasha 2.0 levels of Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
The one thing Naruto has over the other Shonen Jump shows of the time is that the plot actually feels like a continuous story that builds on top of previous events (At least until the whole Kaguya asspull), Dragon Ball, Bleach, One Piece, YuGiOh and the likes are far more episodic and arcs in those barely have any continuity, they just happen randomly one after the other.
Yes, but even then they could have made an effort to give the following arcs some degree of continuity, the reason the Saiyan-Frieza saga is the most beloved part of Z is because, despite starting on a very random occurrence, all following events follow organically, even the Android-Cell saga connects to the RR Army storyline from early DB, from Buu onwards it's just random asspulls, with Super being particularly guilty of this.
>1st pose
Fetal position is an extremely common pose for magical girls, and you can bet your ass it was done tons of times before either of those. >2nd pose
Disingenuously cropped to imply correlation, the original picture of Orihime shows her with outstretched arms, not arms behind her head, which by the way is another extremely common anime pose. >3rd pose
Not even similar outside of the general 3/4 orientation, whatever that fricking anime is does not have a copyright on 3/4 poses. >4th pose
Again, not similar outside of the orientation, the head is tilted at a different angle and the arms and legs are in completely different positions, the only vague similarity is the torso, which again, is just a generic 3/4 orientation.
>Aizen wanted to destroy the world and the soul society so much
He wanted to become the soul king because he was disgusted with the truth about him and what the noble houses did
Bount arc was better
The Kuchiki filler villain at the end of ZR arc ruined it
I think the Bount arc was the best filler conceptually-speaking given it actually crafted its own lore that expanded on the history of Soul Society and its questionable morality (Which was later explored further in the Hisagi novel), but it was needlessly overstretched; in general, bleach had the best fillers in Pierrot anime, especially compared to the shit Naruto fans had to put up with.
They really should have just planned the show as a seasonal series so they could give the manga breathing room without having to make such long fillers.
>try to get into at least one of the big 3 anime >get bored of all of them due to length+shonen cliches
is there something I'm missing or is it all nostalgia+sunk cost fallacy
What are you talking about byakuya is so popular kubo brought him back after killing him off and giving him a great death since everyone especially fujo started to get mad.
Toshiro is just as popular and I dislike him.
Kubo dropped the ball when developing the cast period. Even out of the ostensible protagonist squad, only Ichigo and the Ishida get any sort of development or narrative thrust at all. Chad just kind of stops showing up, Inoue gets an interesting ability for like half an arc and then goes back to being the designated healer, the classic death knell for female characters, and Rukia just kinda stops doing much of value, or serves as the Worf of the team.
The captains are just an extension of that. They show up pretty much explicitly to show off cool bankai designs and then win by slashing the opponent's shoulder or job so the protagonist can show up and clean house.
Naruto had the same problem of a bloated cast that ultimately does absolutely fricking nothing, and only really like three characters remain relevant, with the designated healer female getting perhaps the least development of all despite being one of the first characters to show up.
I wanted her and Keigo to get powers during their confrontation with Aizen like Ichigo did at the start of the show, but yeah, they went sorely misused.
Keigo was HORRIBLY underutilized, the dude was always more than he seemed and with zero hesitation blew up Aizen with a gas can. I wish we could have explored him more.
The lion is canon, but it was clearly only there to handwave the whole Ichigo's body lying dead over there thing, Kubo introduced a ton of concepts he then failed to capitalize at all, mod souls being the earliest of them (Also kido, hell and the Hogyoku), at least the Bount filler put them to some degree of use.
It's amazing to think that these motherfrickers already had the Xenoverse graphical engine up and running and were in the process of developing Kakarot and yet they decided to give this game such butt ugly realistic graphics instead of just using the usual cel-shaded look.
Bleach also ended a decade ago, and honestly, it's cultural staying power is close to zero. At least Naruto had enough dumb shit that stuck around in meme form.
>there used to be a time where people thought naruto and bleach were on the same level as one piece >in fact, there used to be a time where OP was considered the weakest of the big three outside of Japan
what a world
Don't call it quits yet. Both Bleach and Naruto started shitting the bed with never before seen pressure once they neared the end, and both ended on an incredibly shitty note. One Piece has been flagging since the time skip, and there's still time for it to have a complete garbage ending.
Definitely underrated and mostly forgotten since most people I jog the memories of only remember it from toonami and even then, they don't remember much.
I actually like where the manga went in the latter half.
That's the finale of the first big arc where the MC breaks in to the villain groups castle and fricks it up to avenge his friend.

Oh and fair warning, MC getting his goddamn super-charge mode is way later in the manga.
In the anime he at the least fulfills his revenge and uses one of his brother's techniques.
I don't remember a damn thing about watching Bleach all those years ago, except for one thing. OP2 lives in my head rent free and I can probably sing it on command I fricking love it so much.
I know it's technically canon, but it sure as frick read like fricking filler, and it's almost being treated like filler too with most fights ending in complete, one-sided blowouts. I get what its utility was, but it was still a shitty, half-assed, filler feeling arc.
10 years ago you would've been laughed off the board if you brought up the big 3 and nowadays everyone has read all 3 to completion and you're missing out if you didnt.
Because the overt hatred for the big 3 was very unwarranted on hindsight, kind of like the excess hate Justin Bieber or Twilight got in the same time period, the horrible things that came later showed us how good we had it and we didn't appreciate it.
Yes, but he wasn't Cardi B-level awful, he was just some stupid kid singing "baby baby", and his later stuff is just generic pop mediocrity no different from Justin Timbertard.
I think that concept doesn't exist anymore. Demon Slayer was huge, but also had a relatively compact 4-year run with zero pop-cultural impact. Maybe Jujutsu Kaisen? Not sure what numbers it pulls, but it's a popular shounen battle series that's been going four a couple years, but that too isn't nearly as massive as the big three were in their day.
The market is just oversaturated.

I keep seeing h-manga about the girl on the top right, could someone please explain to me why she has that thing in her mouth? It's been a big turn off for me
big 3 as a concept is long gone. The impact bleach and nurutu had was huge and sustained for such a long fricking time. No one else has really compared
Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and My Hero. My Hero has effectively stabilized into this self contained bubble though, and while stupid popular it's not as ever present as it used to be. This time next year I wouldn't be surprised in Kaiju no 8 took it's place. JJK is going strong and a lot of people were brought on by it's mostly solid anime, and chainsaw man has reached a fever pitch this year and the anime is only going to push it higher. i'm an annoying as frick chainsaw stan though so I'm pretty biased
There are no big three anymore. Lots of people don’t realise this was always a manly foreign concept, in Japan OP was always well ahead of the other two.
Whereas in the US and EU, Naruto and Bleach tended to be more popular, but they were grouped together with OP in the first place because they were all exceptionally popular and signified a new era of mainstream anime appeal in the west.
It wasn’t just “these are three popular series of it’s time”.
That's the joke. Though DM is more popular than ever with Trigger anime on the way, and SH has enough good word of mouth as "Promised Neverland but better" to at least get a Season 2, and the manga is in no danger of cancelation.
bringing up anything with asain kung-fu generation is basically cheating
This stuff is still on my workout/warmup playlist. Where does the time go, anons? I remember all of these when I was in high school and university. >_>
I've always wished that Tatsuki would have gotten empowered over Orihime. That way, Tatsuki would be able to stick around as a character in Ichigo's inner circle and become the fighter she was meant to be while Orihime would get to remain as a lovable ditz instead of turning into a delicate damsel.
there's one moment at the start of the blood war where new shinigami show up in town and immediately get swarmed by super high level hollows, only for ichigo to show up and shred through them like paper. The shinigami don't know who he is and have never ehard of him. the idea of this witcher out in the boonies who happens to be moronicly strong and facing stupid tough monsters without realizing it is a lot of fun and I wish that had been the path of the series proper.
Urahara was always a ton of fun. He kind of exemplifies the bullshit of the series because his whole thing is pulling revelations out of his ass but his design and demeanor made it work. Him fighting Askin for his final fight was a great end since that dude also ruled. Happy the novel and last chapter confirmed he survived, hope he's out there boning down yoruichi.
because Japs are literal cucks
there are show with 100+ ep where the guy and girl dont end up even tho its obvious they are meant to be a couple
welcome to anime
>theres an anime where a guy travels back in time to save a girl and ends up in a 15 year long coma only for her to marry his best friend in the meantime
This is my problem with these shows, the status quo can never really change so you just end up getting the same story with different bad guys over and over and over. Any show without an end in mind from the beginning just ends up spinning its wheels forever, no character grows, nothing ever changes, even the most likeable personalities in any of these just become boring and disappointing. That’s my rant and I wish I could still enjoy anime, thank you and goodnight.
Also, too bad we’ll never get all of full metal panic animated.
Ironically the opposite happens too. You get stuff like Bleach and Naruto where the main protagonist has almost zero interaction with the girl until the writer decides it's time to end the story and suddenly they fall madly in love despite never seeing each other that way for 10 years.
I’ve listened to asterisk enough times reading this thread now that I’m gonna start sampling anime tonight, but I know nothings gonna pay off bc this shit right here
For what its worth, that isn't exactly the case at least with Bleach. There's plenty of flirting and whatnot, and things "move forward" when there's a major incident in the show that's resolved, so it isn't like they never interact or anything - its just sort of that "bigger shit is going on" + emotional immaturity often on behalf of the hero that doesn't let him really dive into it full speed until later, but they do consistently "grow together" which is nice.
You know this reminds me, are there any anime or games that anons can think of that do the opposite, where the main character either already has, or in the first season ends up getting a mature relationship with a significant other which continues throughout the series WITHOUT them breaking up/cheating etc and instead support each other and the trials of the adventure bring them closer? After all this time it reminds me how rare Final Fantasy IV really is in that it does exactly this : Cecil and Rosa started out together, stayed together through everything that happened. An early comment from the very start of the game says that Rosa learned to be the best White Mage possible in order to support Cecil even as he was a Dark Knight! They start together, go through a lot of stuff, and are in the final party together when they go to the moon, and the After Years sequel stars their kid! You just don't see a healthy relationship like that persist over the entire game
You're thinking of Rangiku.
Orihime is a spacey goofball who is caring but has a poor sense of self. As a result, she has a tendency to sacrifice herself for others, whether or not it is what they would actually want.
Big breasts aren't her only character trait, she's a traditional japanese waifu. She's strong, caring, looks after her friends and deals with her love interest despite him being a manchild unable to adequately return her affections (until late in the show) but keeps on making him lovingly prepared bento/dinner regardless to keep him strong while he's adventuring.
In Bleach there's an array of big breasts, so they can't base characters only upon them alone. >Big breasts + smoking, drinking one armed blacksmith Oni type. >Big breasts + possibly materialistic gal (though this is a front) who flaunts her sexuality so much that the commander has to give her to the only kid captain who is resistant to her charms >Big breasts + delightful brown ninja who, despite being one of the major family heads doesn't like following the rules so she fricks around with her inventor former captain boyfriend. >Big breasts + mommy dommy physician captain who's hiding a secret side... >Big breasts + mommy dommy captain's right hand woman, who is socially awkward...
It goes on and on, and that isn't even the end of the big breasts main cast/soul society members, to say nothing for others.
>Boruto-style sequel show >Ichigo's half-everything sperm in Orihime's superheal time rewind egg makes a Franklin Reed godbaby >the show is just Haruhi but a boy
Is there a single anime that features a complete loser with nothing going for him somehow beating the odds despite not having a powerful bloodline/witch curse/demon fox/superhero gift/whatever?
The second Deku ate that hair, it was over. You can’t remain an underdog and still also have the best hero pass on an exact copy of his ability to you.
There are plenty of series where average people work hard to defeat opponents.
If you don’t want hard work easier, how do you expect them to overcome odds? Luck?
That doesn't sound like it would be a very interesting story.
I don't watch anime anymore, but I think hachiman was supposed to be that. About a loser who somehow winds up winning the hearts of popular girls. But then it became blatant wish fulfillment garbage halfway through so whatever.
MHA Vigilante, sort of. The protagonist does have an innately powerful ability, but he uses it poorly to begin with, and the way it progresses feels natural, and comes mostly from experience and mentoring advice, not secret destiny asspulls.
It's also objectively better than mainline MHA and generally worth a read.
Does sports manga count? Then ES21. Our main character is a whimp, his main ability is replicated by multiple other opponents who are also stronger and bigger than him. But he still won.
Or watching i guess, i'm moronic.
Now that we are here might as well tell you that reading > watching, if you only watch anime you're going to see mostly shonen and other surface level shit, even the best series that aren't shonen get one or two seasons at best.
>Her being a e-girl 3/4ths of the time probably had something to do with that decision.
But being able to switch between e-girl and hag is part of the appeal.
I don't know if it's contrarians. MM is pretty beloved by everyone, just not on the same level as OoT similar to how Perfect Dark doesn't have the same level of critical acclaim as Goldeneye despite being objectively better in every facet.
I've never really heard anyone criticize MM tbh. The only potential issue is 100% completion being obscure as frick due to timed events with trial and error resets.

Nope. Been here to see the contrarianism shift from OoT to MM. Most of the criticism you see is just a backlash to MM dicksuckers. I haven't really seen anyone consider MM a bad game otherwise.
>Naruto: Good start, got worse after time skip. Completely throws away its original message of hard work > talent >Bleach: Starts good, gets worse. Peaked early, kind of like Naruto >One Piece: Steady rise up before another time skip ruins it
That's how I saw things
i sometimes feel as if i was the only one that really enjoyed Kenshin.
I watched the tv show, i watched the ovas, i collected the manga, i even practiced the katana yet it's never mentioned when people post anime. The OVA is a fricking masterpiece, an artwork and you toddlers are still traumatized by a fricking fraud named Kubo and One Piece trash.
It's because you're looking in english spaces. Kenshin is still beloved in nipland today. It's so beloved in fact that the CP scandal the author was involved with has barely affected him besides having to go on hiatus for half a year.
only morons give a frick about what the author does in his life
who cares if your favorite singer/game dev/mangaka kills somebody if he made stuff you enjoyed . only morons
I started watching this just a couple of weeks ago. The first 20 or so episodes (however long the hunter exam is) is fricking terrible. I almost dropped it, but glad I didn't since it finally started showing some kino. Its still got some awkward stuff going on though, like a convoluted card battling system is explained but then is hardly ever used. Overall not too bad, not too great.
I tried reading the manga and I just couldn't get into it. first episode of the anime presented it much better, so I might give the anime a watch eventually
So, what arcs are still good then ?
Im watching the Soul Society arc right now, and if everything really gets bad after this one Im just going to read the manga.
skip seasons 4 and 5, they're really bad filler. initial ideas were fine, but frick me it's bad. season 6 is what I'd say has a slow start, but it picks up in 7 and 8. 9 is filler and I have no idea of its quality, but definitely skip it your first time through because it's in the middle of the arrancar arc. 10, 11 and 12 are canon, then 13 is more filler (that people tend to like, but it's still placed in a bad spot) and 14 finally finishes off the arrancar arc. 15 is more filler, then 16 is the currently last canon arc and a lot of people don't like it. it's not bad, but it's also not amazing on the surface level and it honestly does fumble a few things. the final arc that's only just getting an anime starts off stronger than any other arc, but did quickly go down in quality because of kubo's health. he's said he plans on fixing it with the anime, so we'll see
I've only read the manga, so your mileage may vary with the anime. I did try watching the bount arc though (seasons 4 and 5). really really bad stuff
if you like consistency you'll probably still think soul society is peak bleach, but if you value high highs you might be like me and place the arrancar arc over it
>Ganker is too shy to talk about their taste in popular animes
There's a thread for bleach, BNHA, homietoro, boruto, wan piss, isekai, and dragonball up right now.
"bleach went to shit after the soul society arc" is one of the most midwit takes out there. it really feels like you either watched it while it aired so you were subjected to the bount arc, you quit at the start of the arrancar arc because it legitimately doesn't have a great start, or you're parroting that one e-celeb with that popular video
also ichigo clearly never had any feelings for orihime and their pairing came out of nowhere. look how much he cares about rukia while he has literally not feelings for orihime
You know. Till today I have no idea what Ichigo's bankai does. Aside from doing some big slash. And I have no idea how he beat Aizen whose ability was beyond hack with BIGGEST slash.
It just gives him a speed/power increase, which isn't actually an increase but more of a "take off the weighted training clothes" thing. Its not like the others because its not a bankai. Byakuya even comments the same thing when he first sees it.
Its eventually revealed that all of his supposed shinigami powers are just fake Quincy bullshit given to him by the Ywach spirit living within him. The spirit says he actively suppressed Ichigo's shinigami powers and essentially made him weaker to protect him from wanting to get into battles and eventually getting hurt. It makes no sense because unrestricted Ichigo easily beats the frick out of demi god Aizen, but the ridiculous plot is part of the charm.
So, what arcs are still good then ?
Im watching the Soul Society arc right now, and if everything really gets bad after this one Im just going to read the manga.
I think hueco mundo has some great character moments especially for the captains, who were already the best part about the series. This doesn’t really take into account the power scaling which was goofy tho I really liked Kenpachi’s buff just because it’s the most Kenpachi thing ever. Kurotsuchi was dope too.
Out of the "Big 3", Bleach had the best original aesthetic and the worst everything else after they get to Soul Society. Naruto was middle of the pack in everything. One Piece is childish fun. HxH is better than these 3 by a long shot. Shaman King has a cooler aesthetic than even Bleach, but the series kinda goes bad after they get on the island.
One thing HxH genuinely does best out of pretty much every battle shounen is make battles genuinely interesting and victories feel earned. It does go up its own ass later on with way too many internal monologues about strategy, but Gon & group vs. the bomber squad during the Greed Island arc is a fantastic battle. Beating stronger opponents through smart tactics, exploiting their weaknesses, creating circumstances that play to your strengths, and still almost dying in the attempt is great, and it's such an easy way to make victories over more powerful opponents feel well deserved without making the villain look like a fricking chump who lost to a child, or resorting to power of friendship asspulls.
It used to be a strength of One Piece as well, Luffy vs. Crocodile comes to mind, but then Oda introduced Haki and it's been downhill ever since because you can just imagine a powerup now.
It would have been great if it didn't waste so many goddamn episodes before getting to the point about finding out the kids' worries and letting them go peacefully.
What a fricking waste, and the VN only helped solidify how much time they fricking wasted.
This is why I'm moronic, I didn't mind the beginning when it was "Scary Angel Girl is the enemy, lets do counter Ops." and really enjoyed when it became "Let's give everybody a happy ending, and MC and Angel Girl can fall in love too."
I am decidedly simple, though I can agree with wishing it got to the back half faster, it's definitely much more novel of a story than the beginning.
I did the same. I even thought stuff like ergo proxy was good, which I now laugh at as an adult
I read bleach for the first time this year as a 29 year old man and I fricking loved it.

Did OP get banned on Ganker or something?
MIYAGUETO OTUSNAME OWATASHI IKARI
I CAN FRICKING HEAR IT
I miss my teenage years, bros...
We have to go back. At any cost.
Serious question, when does this anime become good? I've tried watching it 4 or 5 different times over the years but each time I just stop
The first arc is the best arc
If you don't like it, stop watching it only gets worse from the end of SS onwards
The first episodes are so nostalgic for me but it's probably because Bleach was the first anime I actually watched as it was airing sub eng.
If you don't like what you've seen, you won't like the rest of the series because its just this same formula/style repeated over and over.
bleach was only good in the soul society arc hence why bleach gays are nostalgia gays
You are saying that Vasto Lorde ichigo wasn't hype? Mugetsu Ichigo wasn't hype?
Stop sucking my dick bro!
cope i loved his fights vs Grimmjow, plus Nel was hot
After the first big arc it start shark jumping power levels.
"Oh remember when you broke into Soul Society and we thought you to be a credible threat? We were holding back then."
"You know how something is attacking the living world? We had power dampeners the whole time."
"Thank god Ichigo that half human, half reaper, half hollow, half quincy was here to save us."
Episode 1
The anime is mismanaged. Bleach as a story is good and Kubo actually does things most mangaka physically can't as Japanese box thinking bugmen, but the anime pads for time even NOT in the filler. I suggest anyone interested in Bleach to read it online for freesies obviously. I can not stress enough how weird it is the anime is managed like hot trash. The Hueco Mundo/Aizen arc is the best arc and those episodes DRAG.
Bleach became a big 3 for the anime not the manga. The anime is what made bleach iconic, like the soundtracks and voice actors. The manga has better art and less fillers but that's about it, Kubo was just a hack.
have a nice day now you fricking Black person.
>Kubo's body was literally falling apart at the time
Did Jesus let death stop him from preaching? No?
Then cope Kubo's just a b***h, simple as
The anime is so fricking weird. The way they just stop mid-story and do 40 episodes of filler, give you maybe 15 canon, then 25 more filler. So shit
early 2000's shounen anime was like that unless i'm mistaken
Well you got to understand, like with plenty of popular shounen series, the anime is made along the manga and even when it's a weekly series what happened in those Bleach manga chapters doesn't usually cover even half of the average length of an anime episode, so they had to do the usual filler-arc hell.
So stop at an appropriate time. Not leave off with Ichigo staring down Ulquiorra in Las Noches, 40 episodes of filler, then get to their fight.
He needs or needed a writer to tell a story.
>but the anime pads for time even NOT in the filler
Most do, that's why I generally try to read manga over anime adaptations. Once you realize how long it takes characters to talk it starts getting agonizing. I can't even do something like watch FMA anymore.
Compared to Naruto, One Piece, and whatever other 200+ episode anime it's the best
no it isn't
it doesn't
it's mostly just talking and barely any fighting.
I lost interest after like 35 episodes or wherever they got to the other side. I liked the anime ghostbusters thing it had going for it.
This, I liked the Ghostbusting angle, "anime Ghostbusters" is literally what I used to call it back in the day.
Once it transitioned into dudes fighting other dudes I lost interest, such a generic turn for what started as a pretty interesting show.
Kubo realized he couldn't surpass the GOAT on that angle.
is this still worth watching
I don't think so and this is from someone who loved the anime as a kid and has crazy nostalgia for it. If you're an adult (25+) and have watched plenty anime and read manga, not just shonen but other things, then it will feel too childish. Even something like Naruto Shippuuden feels like a very adult story compared to it because it does have much more mature themes and visuals than it, and we're talking about a battle shonen here
Yeah, like the first arc. It gets fricking moronic later on
If you're cool with it being of its time and designs of the 90s and want a combination of "Ghostbusters Japan Version" and "Battle Tournaments in the Demon Realm": kinda shows, its well remembered for a reason. Also much like Bleach it will be "problematic" so Twitter will be angry, but so much the better.
>Also much like Bleach it will be "problematic" so Twitter will be angry
Absofrickinglutely. My only gripe is the Anime cut a lot of the hijinks when Yusuke was still a ghost. Chapter Black is underappreciated kino.
Botan is the best waifu out there
>Botan is the best waifu out there
Botan was as useless and abandoned as Rukia was. YYH and Bleach are painfully alike in that they both abandon the ghostbusting and original waifus to wank off in monster fights for fighting's sake
>Chapter Black is underappreciated kino.
OH MY GUN ARM
OH MY 7 PERSONALITIES
OH MY SACRED ENERGY
>OH MY 7 PERSONALITIES
Was actually a pretty great arc. Dude was a moralgay that saw the Afterlife's collection of liveleak videos and it completely broke his brain
IRL DID tends to only happen in very young ages, however
The video tape was a cool idea, but the pacing sucked and everything about Sensui was completely moronic. And then come the Yusuke ass pulls one after another.
Just stop watching/reading after the Dark Tournament and you'll be happy.
That gun arm was a total aspull, came out of nowhere it it seemd out of place, like, what the shit?
This
Bleach was absolutely a good anime, but every fricking thing after the Soul Society arc is just horrible.
>but every fricking thing after the Soul Society arc is just horrible.
and i just kept watching and watching
>sunk cost fallacy
i know man
why the frick would you want to watch some random shounenshit out of nowhere unless you've been watching it from the beginning?
I just watched the whole show, it's good IF you literally skip ahead every time
a) an annoying character talks
b) side characters are fighting, except for kenpachi fights
c) obviously all the filler
finished the whole show in a week, kind of excited about the new season
Who do you consider side-characters, if you count Kenpachi as one? Missing a bunch of the Arrancar fights is absolutely cringe.
Jesus, you might as well skip 80% of it. Maybe even 90%.
Or just plain skip it and just watch clips.
>ITS GOOD GUYS
>YOU ONLY HAVE TO SKIP THE ENTIRE FRICKING SHOW
>Serious question, when does this anime become good?
haha no, you're mistaken, it STOPS being good after season 5 and then for some reason keeps running for another 12 seasons
Bleach was never good, I say this without a hint of irony or sarcasm. People like it because of the character designs and the waifus.
bleach was good the entire time and the first part was top tier
I say this without a of irony or sarcasm, people don't like it because they are contrarians and its popular
>people don't like it because they are contrarians and its popular
>because they are contrarians
>contrarians
>bleach was good the entire time

>bount arc
>captain amagai arc
we don't count filler
the manga was very solid, and the manga adapted content was great
well, ofc, except for the last arc which was clearly rushed, but thats a different issue
>anime
Animated by Pierrot. It never gets good.
The Op has manga vibes while the anime not
If you have failed to understand the first 10 episodes, that's on you.
They're the same shit.
>azumanga poster has dogshit taste and is a troony
Every time.
I dont even know who the girl was but shonnens are still shit gay taste for childrens.
Why would you expect shounen shit to ever actually be good? Your taste isnt THAT bad is it?
At episode 1.
Stops getting good around episode 15
Literally Hueco Mundo part 2. When the captains face off against the Espadas.
Oh god I hope not. That was one of the biggest let downs I've ever experienced after hyping up Ichigo's new powers so much. My biggest hope is that he completely rewrites the abrupt ending, or barring that, at least spend some time exploring the aftermath and wrapping up some of the biggest plot holes.
>good
Lmao, the first arc is the best, if you don't like it you should just give up. Loser.
It's already good. Keep watching till the end
Soul Society and Hueco Mundo are the only good arcs.
No it fricking isn't. It's boring as shit and there's nothing going on, you're just parroting what you've heard people say about YYH.
its good on and off
Bleach could really use a recut to trim padding and filler(although some of the filler is actually decent the placement is bad)
Id say reading the manga is better but bleach had really good music and Im a filthy dubgay who likes JYB
It's a shounen my dude. It's targeted to 7-12 year olds. If you didn't watch it as a kid it's going to be hard to watch it now.
>is mostly enjoyed by 20 somethings outside of japan
I hope you're skipping the filler arcs.
That shit made me quit too
It starts getting good at the Rukia rescue Arc
I’m currently rewatching it now cause of the new season which I never read but heard was really good despite the ending. When I first watched bleach I was pretty harsh on it and thought the overall narrative was fairly mediocre. The characters were def the best part. Currently on the rewatch I am midway through soul society, and even though I do appreciate some of the foreshadowing and even some deeper themes I didn’t notice the first time, the writing and positioning of events and reveals could’ve been done way better. My memories of Ishida vs. Kurotsuchi were way better than what actually happened.

I wasn't a Bleach fan but the first anime opening was such a jam
Take me back.
Grand Fisher going out the way he did, and the form he was in, was such a weird fricking moment. Completely out of nowhere, and so jarring.
The entirety of Bleach should have been exactly like that opening
i kept watching and kept watching hoping it'd get good. it never did. that black woman getting naked in the spring within the first i want to say 50 episodes was enough for horny teenage me to go "hey alright, maybe this is worth watching". it wasn't
have they given "i don't need ability upgrade" strongman a second tier yet? logically that's what's gonna happen to keep interest from fans
Yes he has a bankai now
yeah alright figured. it's been like 10 years or something since the traitor soul reaper got defeated
was bankai second tier or third tier?
Third since there's the base zanpakuto then there's shikai and then finally bankai also the gacha game has something called beyond bankai and these are it.
I'm pretty sure these versions of the soul reapers are designed by kubo but completely non canon for now.
thanks
Also the espada got hogyoku forms like aizen.
Agreed also her shorts are stupid
>Also the espada got hogyoku forms like aizen.
oh yeah, they had upgrades as well
>start getting bored around the vaizard arc in the manga and quit shortly after
>read up on the stuff i missed on the wiki

yeah, it makes sense why the anime got cancelled. the dude was a half everything. orihime having localized time reversal or whatever was pretty bullshit as well.
>orihime
talk about wasted coom bait character
>wasted
You can't waste something that wasn't there in the first place. Literal coom bait airhead from the start
Bleach has the Dragon Ball problem of not letting another but Ichigo/Goku accomplish shit. Chad gets like 1 thing per 100 chapters
At least they got to fight some dumb mexican arancars on the side with some credibility.

>Dragon Ball problem of not letting another but Goku accomplish shit
>Goku had to team up with Piccolo to defeat Raditz and Piccolo delivered the finishing blow
>Goku defeated Nappa
>Goku jobbed against Vegeta and had his ass saved by Gohan/Yajirobe/Krillin
>Goku defeated Burter, Jeice and Recoome
>Goku jobbed against Captain Ginyu because he was caught off-guard and Ginyu stole his body. He got lucky and threw a toad at him as he was about to switch bodies again.
>Goku didn't finish the job with Freeza, leaving Future Trunks to deal with him
>Jobbed against Cell, Gohan was the hero of the arc
>Killed Boo
Yeah it's clear you never read or watched Dragon Ball.
Goku rarely accomplished shit for most of Part 2.
So any news about the new game
Bleach peaked here
I used to enjoy drawing Grimmjow as a teen
Did you turn out gay, anon?
sometimes
That standing mid air shit is really fricking gay
it's always like that
>we have some convoluted and super complicated way to explain why we can do this within the first 30 episodes
>after that it's like second nature and never mentioned again unless a trick is needed for some fight at episode 800
>That standing mid air shit is really fricking gay
They're ghosts.
>when Grimmjow fricking shuffles like a boxer and punches Ichigo so hard he ragdolls like an Oblivion character
god Bleach was based
I hate how Kubo completely shit on Kumamura.
A strength and tank type Captain but not Kenpachi. He was destined to fail.
Toss up between Kepanchi or this guy for biggest chad in Bleach, sadly not Chad himself though
I watched Bleach in dubbed and I liked it

I REALIZE MY SCREAMING KIIIIIIINO
Kino opening.
All openings until the end of Soul Society are great, but Asterisk is still the most memorable for how stylish it is with its bright colours, thick lines and character focus.
All of you zoomer pieces of shit move out of the way, because I'm about to swing my dick and I don't want to hit any of you.
Crap, I forgot to get back to Outlaw Star. Thanks for the reminder.
Despite being an isekai, Aeifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest has big-Outlaw Star vibes.
>not posting the superior ED
Tonight Tonight Tonight > the rest of the OPs
only trannies disagree
Asterisk>D.technolife>Ichirin no Hana>Change>Ranbu no Melody>others
as I said, only trannies disagree
I would have accepted After Dark almost equal to Tonight Tonight Tonight but even at that you failed. Geez.

Need more art of her
I used to have a crush on her. I was already 17 so I knew I was a pedo.
Shoujo S is the best Bleach opening.
It's kind of funny to think that Bleach fell out of the top 3. Kubo is a hack and not even pulling a NarutoxHinata with Orihime could save it.
>Orihime could save it.
I thought that pissed people off though
It's a combination of Kubo's shitty writing and horrible pacing
>40% of every issue already happened in the previous one, about 40% is actual story happening and the rest are characters going NANI? or smugly saying one-liners in preparation for the next issue
>Ichigo(and other select characters) gains new powers (again)
>none of the good guys die with a couple of exceptions
>"rule of cool" instead of characterization
>absolutely no stakes
Also the fanbase was terminally mentally ill.
Kubo is actually a good writer and it shows in some of the short contained stories within Bleach. The problem is he's not meant for the weekly release schedule. The whole thing got away from him when the popularity exploded and he had to make changes on the fly within short windows.
And now Bleach is coming back full force with an anime and manga revival while Oda got an ultimatum from SJ to either finish the manga quickly or get axed. It's like a cosmic injustice was corrected.
>Bleach is coming back full force with an anime and manga
>and manga
what? I know about the show but, manga? You mean that witch one-shot?
The witch one shot got a second chapter, and then bleach got a hell chapter which seems like sequel bait about how hell is real and spirits who are over a certain spirit power (Captains) don't reincarnate when they die and go to hell instead.
I thought everyone in the soul society was already dead
When people die on Earth, they become a soul in soul society, and eventually lose their memories of being alive. Spirits are also born in soul society when spirits have children. When a spirit dies (excluding captain level spirits) they reincarnate in on Earth.
then how is ichigo's dad a regular human person after being a captain. did he come back to life? Sorry it's been ages since I watched bleach and I never read the manga to finish the story.
Ichigo's dad wasn't a regular human person, he was a soul in a special Gigai that kept Misaki from self-destructing.
>Oda got an ultimatum from SJ to either finish the manga quickly or get axed
huh
how does the most popular manga get axed
He is talking out of his butthole.
One Piece is WSJ biggest money maker.
No other manga remotely comes close in terms of merch, sales, movies etc.
>fell out of the top 3
t. moron who doesn't know what top 3 stands for
How would the story have played out if Urahara never existed?
everybody died.
the end.
or everyone lived happily ever after.
For a moment there was a Bleach vidya announcement. Screw you.
>watch filler movie
>it fricking KINO
>Hated and criticized Bleach during highschool ever since it aired on [AS]
>Decide to rewatch it 10 years later to give it another chance
>STILL hate it
I don't see how anyone could've liked this series out of the Big 3. Every FRICKING FIGHT has the same damn formula:
>"Heh. You'll never defeat me, Bleachigo."
>"No U!"
>Clangs swords for a few frames
>Shoulder gash
>"Keh--!! What was that technique..?!"
>"Allow me to self-indulge to you my ability to you: This is my Zanpaktou, /Zubantetsukyu/. It allows me to throw it at an opponent because I said so. I don't think the audience understood that just by watching what just fricking transpired, but I just had to make sure by explaining it to the dumb, blind and deaf."
>"Heh. How progressive!" *He was able to throw his Zampaktou -- BECAUSE HE SAID SO?!*
>"You're the only person who's seen this advanced technique And also -- THE LAST."
>Clangs swords for another few frames
>Cut in and out between a tragic flashback for the up-tenth goddamn time
>I was never good at throwing things, except tantrums. That all changes when I met you, Friend-chan.
>*This is bad! If I don't do something fast -- I'm going to suffer another shoulder gash!*
>You were the only person who was able to understand me...and I betrayed you.
>Epic Ah-HA moment
>Slow-mo stand off clash
>Friend-chan...I hope...that you can forgive me...
>Sudden shoulder gash that take up the whole frame
>"Kuuh--! But...HOW...?!"
>"It was easy: When someone throws something at a certain velocity and speed, sometimes it's hard to dodge it. So, I figured at the right moment if I saw it coming, I'd just move out of the fricking way."
>"I see..."
>*Friend-chan...do you think I could learn from Bleachigo...?*
>*NODOBY KNOWS WHO I REALLY AM credits start playing*
WORST.
SHOUNEN.
EVER.
As opposed to naruto:
>Naruto: Sasuke no!
The one thing Naruto has over the other Shonen Jump shows of the time is that the plot actually feels like a continuous story that builds on top of previous events (At least until the whole Kaguya asspull), Dragon Ball, Bleach, One Piece, YuGiOh and the likes are far more episodic and arcs in those barely have any continuity, they just happen randomly one after the other.
dragon ball makes sense because it was never meant to continue past the king piccolo saga
I really liked the mod souls, Ririn was my waifu

Frick I'm already depressed, I did not need this today
i only watched a bit of bleach back in the day
should i watch the anime or read the manga for the new anime?
Read the manga, the anime is full of filler and generally not very high quality.
Bleach is garbage
Huh? Some of these don't even look alike, even being generic anime poses.
early kubo art were turbosoul
Orihime's breasts are amazing
too bad she has a negative ass
you're moronic if you think this is plagiarizing
cope
>literally not even the same poses
is this epic pretending to be moronic bait
Who's that Lina Inverse knock-off on the left?
>ywn go balls deep in bleach girls

Can anyone here explain to me the reason to why Aizen wanted to destroy the world and the soul society so much ?
Something about the soul king.
>Aizen wanted to destroy the world and the soul society so much
He wanted to become the soul king because he was disgusted with the truth about him and what the noble houses did
The first 20 or so episodes were the best part of Bleach. It was downhill once they went to Soul Society.
the arrancar/espada arc was kino and I'm tired of pretending otherwise
>the arrancar/espada arc was kino and I'm tired of pretending otherwise
the entire arc was a drag to watch
It's good, my only issue with it is that the inciting incident is identical to the one in the Soul Society arc.
>misogynistic femboy bawd
Kino
I'd like a Kakarot-like game based on Bleach.
>strongest espada

Literally Black person version of Nappa
The best anime opening of all time.
aaaaaaaaa
I done did it
Oooh shit the nostalgia
nice anon, I thought something was wrong on my end with the previous posts cause sound didn't play
I tear up watching this, so many memories, it's been so long.
Sounds still not playing on my end, the volume button is grayed out. It's probably something on my part.
Zanpakuto Rebellion was the best filler arc and I'm tired of pretending otherwise.
Yammy becoming 0 was the death of Bleach to me.
>try to get into at least one of the big 3 anime
>get bored of all of them due to length+shonen cliches
is there something I'm missing or is it all nostalgia+sunk cost fallacy
The most optimal method is to just read Manga and then do searches for your favorite x vs x fights on youtube.
Shonen is shit, indeed. It's ok if you're a kid.
Im excited to see them finally showing the final fight where kenpachi finally shows his bankai form
The opening and ending themes in Bleach are like a nuclear bomb of nostalgia
Life is a Boat is the best ED, followed by Hokiboshi.
So, did Kubo drop the ball when developing the captains cast ? People only seem to like kenpaichi of them all.
What are you talking about byakuya is so popular kubo brought him back after killing him off and giving him a great death since everyone especially fujo started to get mad.
Toshiro is just as popular and I dislike him.
>byakuya is so popular kubo brought him back after killing him off and giving him a great death since everyone especially fujo started to get mad.
How the frick do people like him ? Does he improve after the SS or something ?
>Naruto had the same problem of a bloated cast that ultimately does absolutely fricking nothing
Okay, but at least I can count more memorable characters in Naruto compared to Bleach at least.
All of bleach is riddled with underused characters. Just look at the original gang - was the tomboy girl ever even really used at all?
I wanted her and Keigo to get powers during their confrontation with Aizen like Ichigo did at the start of the show, but yeah, they went sorely misused.
Keigo was HORRIBLY underutilized, the dude was always more than he seemed and with zero hesitation blew up Aizen with a gas can. I wish we could have explored him more.
It's a shame because I really liked the tomboy girl.
Does anyone even like Byakuya ? He seems like a worse version of Neji. Maybe even a worse version of Itachi.
He like the gold standard of what it is to be a captain, so fans that want to day dream as a Captain will likely imagine they are Byakuya.
I want to read it but everyone says it's turns to shit after SS so I lose motivation
Was character design the strongest point of Bleach ?

Best OP coming through.
Dumb gay filler lion. I HATE IT
The lion is canon, but it was clearly only there to handwave the whole Ichigo's body lying dead over there thing, Kubo introduced a ton of concepts he then failed to capitalize at all, mod souls being the earliest of them (Also kido, hell and the Hogyoku), at least the Bount filler put them to some degree of use.
I LOVE Ichigo!
Everything after Soul Society arc was fricking trash
>Jump Force was the last game Bleach characters appeared in
It's amazing to think that these motherfrickers already had the Xenoverse graphical engine up and running and were in the process of developing Kakarot and yet they decided to give this game such butt ugly realistic graphics instead of just using the usual cel-shaded look.
Bleach also ended a decade ago, and honestly, it's cultural staying power is close to zero. At least Naruto had enough dumb shit that stuck around in meme form.
>there used to be a time where people thought naruto and bleach were on the same level as one piece
>in fact, there used to be a time where OP was considered the weakest of the big three outside of Japan
what a world
personally i never considered one piece the better/equal of the three
Glass houses and all that. Lets not pretend like One piece doesn't have some major issues. I dropped that shit soon after the timeskip
Don't call it quits yet. Both Bleach and Naruto started shitting the bed with never before seen pressure once they neared the end, and both ended on an incredibly shitty note. One Piece has been flagging since the time skip, and there's still time for it to have a complete garbage ending.
25 year old series can frick off too, write a goddamn ending already you asiatic frick.
I quit this shit when they decided to go with fricking vampire shit
That was filler
Trash tbh. His resurrection was also trash. Base Grimmjow is the only cool Grimmjow.
If you think that's trash feast your eyes on stark the worst of the Hogyoku enhanced espada
god I miss mid 2000's anime aesthetic so much
I miss the 2000s period.
And my homie I fricking love that song.
It wasn't all sunshine, a lot of it was really, really fricking ugly.
Same.
BOMB AHEAD WOOOOOOOO
I might not like what Air Gear turned into but the OP was fire
I barely remember shit about this one aside from Aya being hot
ONE OF THE BEST
Dame I don't know about you but kekkaishi felt underrated or not that popular when I was growing up.
Definitely underrated and mostly forgotten since most people I jog the memories of only remember it from toonami and even then, they don't remember much.
I actually like where the manga went in the latter half.
AND GAY MEN
The farthest I watch it was when they discover that dark castle or something.
That's the finale of the first big arc where the MC breaks in to the villain groups castle and fricks it up to avenge his friend.
He gets a cool as frick power-up later on where he gets a familiar like his brother does.
Alright, gonna have to watch this again.
Ay, it's time for a reread myself.
Oh and fair warning, MC getting his goddamn super-charge mode is way later in the manga.
In the anime he at the least fulfills his revenge and uses one of his brother's techniques.
Man, someone remembers Air Gear?
Also agreed.
Why music so bopping for a rollerskating anime???
rollerskating was a rad thing back in the day
Yes it was. I remember when those shoes that had a wheel on the back being popular in elementary.
I don't remember a damn thing about watching Bleach all those years ago, except for one thing. OP2 lives in my head rent free and I can probably sing it on command I fricking love it so much.
Remember when even the Bleach manga had fricking filler? That whole Fullbringer arc was embarrassing to read.
The fullbringer arc isn't filler and it's completely canon.
The events of that arc are actually important.
aizens death and ichigo losing his powers was the perfect ending for the story
I'm in that boat too.
I know it's technically canon, but it sure as frick read like fricking filler, and it's almost being treated like filler too with most fights ending in complete, one-sided blowouts. I get what its utility was, but it was still a shitty, half-assed, filler feeling arc.
It was really good until the captains arrived
I'm sorry you think that
It's just too bad the arc is so shit.
PICK ONE

10 years ago you would've been laughed off the board if you brought up the big 3 and nowadays everyone has read all 3 to completion and you're missing out if you didnt.
>people here act like smug contrarians while secretly enjoying mainstream things like everyone else
Guess some things never change.
Because the overt hatred for the big 3 was very unwarranted on hindsight, kind of like the excess hate Justin Bieber or Twilight got in the same time period, the horrible things that came later showed us how good we had it and we didn't appreciate it.
>excess hate Justin Bieber
"excess"
What are you talking about he was always awful
Yes, but he wasn't Cardi B-level awful, he was just some stupid kid singing "baby baby", and his later stuff is just generic pop mediocrity no different from Justin Timbertard.
His "baby baby" still had Black person rap in it. Always awful. Cardi B is just cutting out the baby and going full Black person
This opening was weak
You can only ride on showing off the captains and lieutenants for so long
>hear Bleach 1st OP
>almost teared up
damn, it reminds me when i was young happy and healthy
what are the current big 3?
I think that concept doesn't exist anymore. Demon Slayer was huge, but also had a relatively compact 4-year run with zero pop-cultural impact. Maybe Jujutsu Kaisen? Not sure what numbers it pulls, but it's a popular shounen battle series that's been going four a couple years, but that too isn't nearly as massive as the big three were in their day.
The market is just oversaturated.
BNHA, JJK and KnY
One Piece is about to end, SnK is over and no one cares about Nanatsu no Taizai or Black Clover anymore
Boruto, One Piece, MHA
>Chainsaw Man
>JJK
>Spy x Family
One Piece is still king, though
One Piece is the only survivor of the BIG 3
now its all trash sadly
Wrong, Boruto exists, and even Bleach is getting another arc.
we're going back
>and even Bleach is getting another arc.
Bleach is animating a 10 year old arc, not a new one.
That's what you think. There's going to be a new series announced with Ichigo's son.
I doubt that.
That's not what I'm talking about, secondary. We're getting Howl From The Jaws Of Hell Arc.
>Bleach is getting another arc
Bleach is already over, that ending was rushed as frick
ape escape has an anime??
Yep
>Bleach is already over
>he is unaware
We haven't gotten an update from this for months.
Just like we didn't hear shit months after Burn The Witch. Kubo is taking it easy, but we're getting more Bleach regardless.
Kubo's health is still fricked. I think we might get a short arc for bleach but nothing more.
Maybe Miura wants his homeboy to keep him some company
>at what point did you think Bleach was over?
there will never be a BIG 3 ever again
no new show will have 300+ episodes and run for 10+ years
Good.
>good
enjoy your 12 ep per season shows that end up being dropped after 2 seasons
I will.
ashita no joe for the netflix crowd, also the new big 3 are better than the old big 3. the 2000s was the dark age of anime
>anon thinking Megalo Box S2 wasn't the AOTY last year
demon slayer is literally the most forced popular anime of all time. Its actually comical how immediately forgotten it is in discussion
>how immediately forgotten it is in discussion
>implying normalgays forgetting about things is bad
I'm willing to bet the f/a/ggots would say infinitely more positive things about Demon Slayer if it didn't get a popular anime adaptation.
Demon Slayer got carried by Utofable.
You mean the age of soul.
Dungeon Meshi
Shadows House
Record of Ragnarok
>Dungeon Meshi
>Shadows House
Good taste anon, but I don't think either of those have more than niche appeal.
That's the joke. Though DM is more popular than ever with Trigger anime on the way, and SH has enough good word of mouth as "Promised Neverland but better" to at least get a Season 2, and the manga is in no danger of cancelation.
Unused design
People might have taken the Zero Espada shit seriously if top right was the canon design.
Most of these beta designs are better than the final ones, beta Brujeria actually looks intimidating while official Brujeria looked extremely moronic.
Best Opening
Velonica is right after so you're dead wrong
After Dark is great too
JIBUN WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Wait a minute, this isn't Ganker
Still the best anime of all time even with the early parts of R2
i sometimes go back to watch some of the OPs from back then
we can all that 2003 still has the better OP/ED right?
bringing up anything with asain kung-fu generation is basically cheating
>we can all that 2003 still has the better OP/ED right?
No.
Which character did you guys like most on the bleach series ?
Urahara was always a ton of fun. He kind of exemplifies the bullshit of the series because his whole thing is pulling revelations out of his ass but his design and demeanor made it work. Him fighting Askin for his final fight was a great end since that dude also ruled. Happy the novel and last chapter confirmed he survived, hope he's out there boning down yoruichi.
Yoruichi is canonically fricking Soi Fon with a futa wiener that Urahara conjured up for her.
keept telling yourself that sweetie
Thanks, I will.
no soi fon is busy /ss/ing yoruichis little brother
For me, it's Harukaze by Scandal
Orange Range is the greatest anime OP ever.
WHY
why didnt they end up together?
probably because she's a ghost
because Japs are literal cucks
there are show with 100+ ep where the guy and girl dont end up even tho its obvious they are meant to be a couple
welcome to anime
>theres an anime where a guy travels back in time to save a girl and ends up in a 15 year long coma only for her to marry his best friend in the meantime
ouch
It's not like Ichigo settled. The man is no slouch
>only personality trait is her big breasts
>implying you need more
She could draw too
You're thinking of Rangiku.
Orihime is a spacey goofball who is caring but has a poor sense of self. As a result, she has a tendency to sacrifice herself for others, whether or not it is what they would actually want.
Rangiku's main personality trait is giving me nursing handjobs
>she has a tendency to sacrifice herself for others
Thats not a unique character quality in a shonen.
>Big breasts + possibly materialistic gal (though this is a front) who flaunts her sexuality so much that the commander has to give her to the only kid captain who is resistant to her charms
>Big breasts + delightful brown ninja who, despite being one of the major family heads doesn't like following the rules so she fricks around with her inventor former captain boyfriend.
>Big breasts + mommy dommy physician captain who's hiding a secret side...
>Big breasts + mommy dommy captain's right hand woman, who is socially awkward...
It goes on and on, and that isn't even the end of the big breasts main cast/soul society members, to say nothing for others.
>Boruto-style sequel show
>Ichigo's half-everything sperm in Orihime's superheal time rewind egg makes a Franklin Reed godbaby
>the show is just Haruhi but a boy
Is there a single anime that features a complete loser with nothing going for him somehow beating the odds despite not having a powerful bloodline/witch curse/demon fox/superhero gift/whatever?
No.
MHA used to be that, his power wasnt even that great, then he got 7
The second Deku ate that hair, it was over. You can’t remain an underdog and still also have the best hero pass on an exact copy of his ability to you.
Konosuba ?
There are plenty of series where average people work hard to defeat opponents.
If you don’t want hard work easier, how do you expect them to overcome odds? Luck?
Examples that aren’t side characters?
SAO
>Luck?
Yes. Make the anime equivalent of Ciaphas Cain.
Golden Boy
GTO
>moron has his choice of two best girls
Great Teacher Onizuka
Genuinely 10/10 despite the fact you'll never see it on bookshelves anymore
Golden Boy is about a homesless moron in his 20s going around flirting with girls. It's actually really good and one of my favorite anime.
The only dub I'll listen to.
Does sports manga count? Then ES21. Our main character is a whimp, his main ability is replicated by multiple other opponents who are also stronger and bigger than him. But he still won.
Unironically stop reading exclusively shonen my dude
That's a genre targeted towards young boys in case you've forgotten
Or watching i guess, i'm moronic.
Now that we are here might as well tell you that reading > watching, if you only watch anime you're going to see mostly shonen and other surface level shit, even the best series that aren't shonen get one or two seasons at best.
I firmly believe Kubo's art evolved to draw more milf characters than moe highschoolers
Ichigo should've ended up with Nel, IMO. She's literally just Orhime but better in every way sans being a healbawd.
Biggest boobs in the series too.
Her being a e-girl 3/4ths of the time probably had something to do with that decision.
>Her being a e-girl 3/4ths of the time probably had something to do with that decision.
But being able to switch between e-girl and hag is part of the appeal.
I didn't read past fullbringer, can she actually control it now?
Yeah, in TYBW Urahaha gives her an accessory that allows her to switch freely.
anime peaked here, its only been downhill sine
*DUN*
it went downhill after they stopped doing the gold roger intro bit
the ocarina of time of anime
does that make 2004 Majora's Mask?
Yes, in that they're both the same thing and overrated by entry levelers
>OoT/Brotherhood the better game/show and more popular
>MM/2003 more loved by contrarians
That actually checks out.
I don't know if it's contrarians. MM is pretty beloved by everyone, just not on the same level as OoT similar to how Perfect Dark doesn't have the same level of critical acclaim as Goldeneye despite being objectively better in every facet.
No, MM has some design choices that really turns off quite a bit of people from it.
I've never really heard anyone criticize MM tbh. The only potential issue is 100% completion being obscure as frick due to timed events with trial and error resets.
>I've never really heard anyone criticize MM tbh.
Unironically, are you new here?
Nope. Been here to see the contrarianism shift from OoT to MM. Most of the criticism you see is just a backlash to MM dicksuckers. I haven't really seen anyone consider MM a bad game otherwise.
Fma regardless is pretty shit
i thought i liked anime when i watched this until i realized nothing else compared to it, most anime is generic garbage
The majora's mask of anime.
I thought I was on the wrong board for a moment. What the frick.
Ganker doesnt have anime discussion this good though
That is cause majority of Ganker taste in anime and manga is froze in 2003 to 2008 so we have somewhat good taste
Best Bleach openings in no particular order
OP 13 had no right to have such good animation
so of the big 3 one piece is objectively the worst?
>Naruto: Good start, got worse after time skip. Completely throws away its original message of hard work > talent
>Bleach: Starts good, gets worse. Peaked early, kind of like Naruto
>One Piece: Steady rise up before another time skip ruins it
That's how I saw things
>actually following bleach and not just enjoying the colour spreads of kubo coping with his inability of becoming a fashion designer
SENAKA NI MIMI WO PITTO TSUKETE DAMISHIMETA
I missed an entire generation of Kenshin memes with the futae no kiwami and that dude with the weird hair screaming
you a freckles or a sobakasu?
both
I'm a korean dub enjoyer
First manga I ever completed. It never succumbed to power level bullshit and had a perfect ending.
i sometimes feel as if i was the only one that really enjoyed Kenshin.
I watched the tv show, i watched the ovas, i collected the manga, i even practiced the katana yet it's never mentioned when people post anime. The OVA is a fricking masterpiece, an artwork and you toddlers are still traumatized by a fricking fraud named Kubo and One Piece trash.
Set sail for FAIL
Kenshin was kind of weird to young me in that it read like a shoujo and a battle shounen at the same time. I also hated Yahiko.
It's because you're looking in english spaces. Kenshin is still beloved in nipland today. It's so beloved in fact that the CP scandal the author was involved with has barely affected him besides having to go on hiatus for half a year.
only morons give a frick about what the author does in his life
who cares if your favorite singer/game dev/mangaka kills somebody if he made stuff you enjoyed . only morons
well it does matter when your favorite manga gets cancelled because the author got sent to prison
well it does, but theres no reason to go hating his work because he likes something you dont
I related with Sojiro quite a bit. You'd be surprised at how well keeping a smile helps you through tough times
I learned what Shukuchi was from Kenshin.
Was cool as frick
I gave it a rewatch, and frankly the music is what carried 80% of it.
Watch the OVA first.
I did watch, and it has a completely different tone from the main series.
Well yeah, hes a dindu now, a light comedy even.
Vinland is following the same path unfortunately.
Are the noble houses Illuminati?
I want to go back.
I want to go back.
I want to GO BACK.
I WANT TO GO BACK I WANT TO GO BACK I WANT TO GO BACK
People who think Naruto OP4 was the best have the most basic b***h taste imaginable, even for narutogays
It is this. And it is not even fricking close.
how did this series manage to evade rampant cuckhomosexualry whereas Naruto didn't?
Kubo had THE HEART
Bleach despite being called big 3 was actually really unpopular relatively speaking
I see you've never seen hentai featuring Orihime.
it didn't do that hand sign shit and none (if any) special eye shit. there's also the narutu running meme shit
Bleach had SOUL
Based taste. The full cast version is even better
Wait till you see this .
GIRUGAMESH
Any SEED enjoyers here?
No
Wait which board am i on?
Ganker since Ganker is only talking about cyberpunk
That is cdpr shilling there brains out to save their shitty ip
Detective Conan solved the mistery
is this fricking over yet
Heheheheheh. No.
hahahaha , soon.tm.
the one that canonically has the superior taste in anime
Do YOU remember that F-Zero with 51 fricking episodes?
i'm old, but not that old
>Gringos were cucked out of this opening and kino insert songs.
I am so sorry.
Your response?
Rawrr :3
the best girls, and you cant convince me otherwise
Her death was beyond fricking moronic.
I don't remember them doing fricking anything pre-timeskip
Isane is tall as shit, I love her.
any HxHchads here? we're back(tm)
This and Life Is Like A Boat
OP don't do this to me
Can't have a 2000s nostalgia without fricking Galaxy Angel
I remember this song being used in the Jojo MADs more than this ED itself.
I tried reading the manga and I just couldn't get into it. first episode of the anime presented it much better, so I might give the anime a watch eventually
skip seasons 4 and 5, they're really bad filler. initial ideas were fine, but frick me it's bad. season 6 is what I'd say has a slow start, but it picks up in 7 and 8. 9 is filler and I have no idea of its quality, but definitely skip it your first time through because it's in the middle of the arrancar arc.
I did try watching the bount arc though (seasons 4 and 5). really really bad stuff
if you like consistency you'll probably still think soul society is peak bleach, but if you value high highs you might be like me and place the arrancar arc over it
>so I might give the anime a watch eventually
it's good, both the anime and manga end is trash tho and the sequel/reboot isn't all that good either
>500 replies Bleach thread
Did I go back in time to 2008?
Ganker is too shy to talk about their taste in popular animes, so they do it in other boards.
>Ganker is too shy to talk about their taste in popular animes
There's a thread for bleach, BNHA, homietoro, boruto, wan piss, isekai, and dragonball up right now.
uhhh dude it's 2008?
Hmm wait a moment
But seriously
No need for skill or finesse if your slash is BIGGEST. You can slash his shoulder so good, nothing can stop you
The best bleach fights were never Ichigo's fights anyway.
Kurotsuchi was dope too.
>bump limit
quickly post your favorite boomer anime OP
will always be brotherhood
What's up
Nice opening. Hows the series ?
I haven't seen it since the 90s on my cousin's VHS tapes.
where it started
where it's at
EXCALIBAAAA
EXCALIBAAAA
Out of the "Big 3", Bleach had the best original aesthetic and the worst everything else after they get to Soul Society. Naruto was middle of the pack in everything. One Piece is childish fun. HxH is better than these 3 by a long shot. Shaman King has a cooler aesthetic than even Bleach, but the series kinda goes bad after they get on the island.
>HxH
Is it still on hiatus?
dude cancelled it because of his health
Yes.
Crocodile comes to mind, but then Oda introduced Haki and it's been downhill ever since because you can just imagine a powerup now.
nice comfy anime thread on Ganker everyone
This Ganker anime thread is at bump limit so now I can say that I liked Angel Beats and only a few people will call me moronic.
angel beats is the poor man's haibane renmei
Go read some light-hearted romance centric visual novels, that has the latter stuff in spades
THE GOAT
I just wanna say that this is the best anime insert song EVER. Nothing comes close and till date I still have this in my gym playlist.
>BOOMER YO LEO
BLARHHGUHGUGALBRH
Why does Ganker have such good anime threads but shit video game threads?
it's the law of equivalent exchange
The /tg/ effect aka boards have better discussions on things that are off-topic.

Whew lads, great thread, brought back a lot of memories.
The 2000s was the superior time, I wish we could go back.
Me too anon...
Me too
Nah frick this, i don't want to go back, i don't want no milky holmes, no galaxy angel, no 2000/90/80s anime.
I want new things that are better than the old things, not my fault that everything went to shit.
>star driver was 10 years ago
mech anime peaked here
feels like only recently the movie came out
I'm glad that I spend the 2000s watching actually great, emotional, and intellectual series instead of shounen garbage
where's moosheeshee
>tfw still waiting for my Misaki
You're not fricking supposed to
whatever happened to the new mononoke, is it still being made?
I did the same. I even thought stuff like ergo proxy was good, which I now laugh at as an adult
I read bleach for the first time this year as a 29 year old man and I fricking loved it.
