So after about 16 hours. I finally completed pirating this game on my Steam Deck and...I have zero motivation to play it. Despite all that hard work (You do not understand how much suffering, pirating shit on steam deck is)
Is this really going to be one of the best games I've ever played? I don't really care about "GOTY 2023" Because imo, it doesn't really have much competition other than Resi4 Remake, and that game is great fun but if just two games are really GOTY material then being GOTY doesn't really mean much to me.
So this game has to be at least top 10-20 games ever material.
I really feel like I'd rather go throw some money at CDkeys to get RE7 for $22 tho, and FPS games give me stomach and headaches, so what does that say about BG3's first impressions appeal huh?

You were possessed by anal demons
Pirate gays btfo.
Playing CRPGs with a gamepad is criminal.
>Is this really going to be one of the best games I've ever played?
i can't imagine how arduous it would be to play this with sticks and buttons
Top 10? Doubt it. Top 20 may be possible though.
No boob physics
what class do I pick btw for maximum interactivity, so that I can at least have fun with the most praised aspect of this game from the get go
Bard. You can lie/cheat/steal your way through dialogue since you'll have both dex and charisma for either sleight of hand or charisma checks.
Or you can just play berserker and GRUG your way through every situation. I laughed when at the very beginning of the game my character ripped open a stuck pod that other classes either need a key or arcana checks to open.
I picked warlock cuz bard sounded boring. Am I fricked?
Warlock has charisma so you're fine. I haven't played an MC warlock so I can't tell you how much class specific choices you'll get. I'm guessing plenty since warlock is so popular.
Yes. Might as well uninstall right now, it's over.
Not necessarily, Warlock is charisma focused so as long you get proficiency in the skills that use it you'll still have a lot of RP possibilities. Warlocks are boring in combat because 95% you're just going to be Eldritch Blasting.
Man. This game seems unnecessarily complicated, there's no way all the possible shit I can miss is going to matter in the future right?
Githyanki Lore Bard if you want to get the most RP possibilities.
Classes aside i´ve heard that the intended experience is designed around picking Dark Urge. Can´t really confirm because i choose having as much roleplay freedom as possible.
you fell for the verified meme
it runs like shit on the deck
It's almost like a game where your success or failure in every facet is almost 100% determined by random dice rolls isn't very enjoyable, engaging, or rewarding.
>It's almost like a game where your success or failure in every facet is almost 100% determined by random dice rolls isn't very enjoyable, engaging, or rewarding.
Okay what the frick. I don't get it. Have I just been memed on BG3 or what? Also can someone goddamn please answer the class question
People play and enjoy games with random things all the time though
DnD games take it to a whole other level
Shit was literally designed for a tabletop, GM controlled environment
How do you frick up pirating a DRM free game? Even on a steamdeck.
Baldur's Gate has always been such a niche franchise with no appeal to non-CRPG players, it really says a lot about what's come out that it's one of the most popular games of the year.
Are you that one moron who couldn't figure out why people were clowning on you for downloading a repack of a DRM-free game?
How do I unsubscribe from your moronic blog?
Pirates are like vegans. You know that they are pirates because they will always fricking tell you.
Get bent, tendie.
guys, I want to be a lothsworn drow because they're hotter, but I don't want to be destined to evil, I only wanna do evil if I feel like it. what do I do? does it matter?
It took me like 30 minutes to do, I think you might be moronic.
>Is this really going to be one of the best games I've ever played?
If you didn't spoil the plot and other things for yourself already, it will most probably be the game that makes you forget that time exist. If you did spoil things for yourself well, it is going to be ok/good
This is why I told you I could tell you have adhd in your previous thread. Get some meds for that shit, dude.
Highest effort bg3 thread in months, bravo
>Is this really going to be one of the best games I've ever played?
No. You fell for the Chinese shill and bot campaign.
Honestly the character customization for this game was no where as indepth and specific as I expected it to be. Or maybe there's just a setting I missed?
no one fricking cares stop going on Ganker for validation you fricking worthless moron play the fricking game and make your own opinions for once in your pitiful life
Wait seriously, is the character customization supposed to only basically be presets? I don't get it, I'm genuinely kind of baffled. Weren't people praising the character customization to high heavens?
They stated that they consider presets to be better than sliders years ago
honestly...kinda based. removes a lot of the tedium. I just wish there were way more presets.
Are you talking about your companions? Because after a certain point you'll for a price be able to completely change them and yourself too.
>Is this really going to be one of the best games I've ever played?
You fell for the fake hype meme
lords above what a WIMP!
>Is this really going to be one of the best games I've ever played?
Nope, it is honestly pretty mediocre for a number of reasons.
For one, there's next to no in-game documentation for what abilities you get as you level up. The exception is when you are leveling up and have the class selected. This wouldn't be an issue if they weren't using a modified rule set.
All of the companions are unlikable c**ts, and the female options are ugly. Oh, and you will have to turn them down when their affinity score gets high enough, because their isn't a separate romance branch that you need to seek out.
The selection of hirelings, the games answer to the mercenaries of the Pathfinder games, is a menagerie of freaks. You can technically customize them, but you can't alter their race, subrace, background, or body type.
The only way to create a fully custom party is a janky workaround using the multiplayer, but there's no guarantee that your deck can handle running multiple simultaneous instances of the game.
Only the first act of the game is actually polished. Everything past that point gets progressively bigger and unfinished, with a huge chunk of the end just missing.
Also, the camera sucks and fighting large numbers of enemies takes forever because their turns play out in real time.
Wrong on all accounts
Right on all accounts
Why is it hard to pirate on deck? QRD?
>I spent 16 hours pirating a game I don't want to play
Based moron. Same energy as those people that hype themselves up to build gaymen Peecees only to realize after the fact that they don't even like video games and just have nothing going on in life.
The game is simultaneously incredibly boring, and engaging. I'm not really doing anything interesting mechanically, but I can't exactly pull away
