      It's possibly a prequel.

If you want spoilers, then at the end of the game, it's revealed that everyone with pink blood is actually an immortal homunculi, and not a human, and just returns to life after a day passes, no matter how they die. It's never outright stated that this means Danganronpa characters all survived their games, but if you think they're in the same universe, then it would mean that.

Okay, I get it. I always just assumed that the pink blood twist in Rain Code was mainly meant to be a trick played on people who've played DR before. In that they're likely to assume that the pink blood is just a stylistic decision like in the DR games so they'll be caught off guard when it's actually a plot point.

this is the case, because in danganronpa no one has issues with sunlight and in the first game you check the morgue during the last case, and they're just corpses, no one is a zombie

Artificial sun and fake bodies ( I mean why does Mondo have a body if he was turned to butter) since Junko is secretly from Amaterasu corp and has access to their technology.

        You're misunderstanding.
It's a prequel to V3. The reason why everyone on earth in V3 is so casual and comfortable with the killing game, and why people fearlessly want to participate, is because all the killing game participants are actually homonculi copies of the people who apply. All of the players in V3 were copies of people from the real world, given fake memories. This is also why Monokuma claimed he could've casually brought someone back to life: He could've just cooked up another copy of them.

If that was true, there'd be no reason for DR1 and DR2 to feature pink blood, since they're not real anyway. And there wouldn't be a need to kidnap anyone.

That's because DR1 and 2 weren't real. They were fiction in V3's universe.

              >They were fiction in V3's universe.
God V3 is such an idea vacuum since it's so broad that you can make anything canon to it.

No, that's literally the canon story. It's not a theory.

That's what I mean. If they're fictional anyway, then there's no reason to use homunculi in the fiction, since they're supposed to really be dying.

I do think you're correct that this is the new canon, and they just won't care about the details, though.

There's no way it's a prequel since they would have definitely mentioned the Tragedy, even if it happened decades before, since there's plenty of video evidence of it, as well as people telling their children about it.

Nobody knew about the homunculi until the epilogue.
        >All of the players in V3 were copies of people from the real world, given fake memories. This is also why Monokuma claimed he could've casually brought someone back to life: He could've just cooked up another copy of them.
This would undermine the message of V3 harder than the actual game does.

No but after WEC I had no expectations so I'm not disappointed.

Chapter 4 kept a nice pace and Chapter 5 was wonderfully cheesy, but it took a lot of dull shit to get there.

The story and the artstyle are very good
I like how the places are designed to be visually appealing and wish this game wasn't a switch exclusive because the tablet graphics really hold back the visuals
the only thing I didn't like is the gameplay, none of the minigames is fun and it just feels like they tried to hard to force "action" into the game which instead of enhancing it just made it tedious at times
also wish they didn't push so much fanservice on shinigami, makes her a worse character killing the immersion with the constant reminder that they want virgins to make fanart and buy her merch

It was alright. It peaked in Ch.4
And its kinda funny how the final twist utterly ruins parts of chapter 3.

Bold of you to claim chapter 3 wasn't maximally ruined from the beginning.

yea, but its kinda funny how the game just forgets about the resistence. Like the game frames Doya as a slum sufferig becuase of the endless rain and how the resistence wants a better life. Then Nothing happens with it. At the end the rain is good and we nevet see the slum again.

I didn't really like Shinigami. I thought she was going to betray Yuma at some point I eventually liked her by the end.

I softened to her towards the end, but she really is too much of an instigator.

    Ch0 was incredibly outlandish
Ch1 was interesting ,but the culprits dull, and the reasonings against the culprit are pretty flimsy since it falls apart if they had an accomplice
Ch2 is the best chapter in the game, and sadly that's a bit early to peak.
Ch3 killer was obvious and the second weakest chapter in the game.
Ch4 is the worst chapter in the entire game and would be in the top 5 of worst "trials" if compared to Danganronpa.
Ch5 is pure kino that is undermined by the epilogue basically saying "They all lived happily ever after." Still, at least it's the best ending a Kodaka game has ever had.

Yuma is an adult but I guess in spirit sure.
all she does is tease him, though.

You have no basis for thinking Yuma is an adult. Being in charge of a giant organization doesn't mean shit in this universe.

He mentioned some shit about drinking alcohol, I think in Chapter 3, and didn't say anything like "I can't drink yet".
Desuhiko is also an adult considering how Shinigami danced around calling him a pedophile during Ch2.
Also it's kind of pointless to spoiler shit if the thread itself is about Rain Code. You're better off not coming at all.

DR3 debunks the entire theory since blood is red in the Future arc while being pink in Despair arc. This includes when the same death is shown in both arcs, the blood changes color. This proves that the color of the blood is purely a visual stylistic choice and not something that is in-universe.
