yes. weebs have very bad taste and typically extremely uncultured pseuds with very little world experience. therefore, games like this are stimulating to them. its sad, really.
yeah basically, the deeper story is interesting but all people talk about is >lesbians >references
the end, the deeper story is not accessible and is pretty dull but they brought in multiple timelines at the same time. It's kinda dumb an unecessary
I like it because it's good but also clumsily made. It's a hodgepodge of a bunch of different and very obvious influences, from games and anime to art and music, but it still comes together to something very interesting.
The moment where you watch the tape on the train ride and pull the card into your inventory with no explanation, that made the game for me.
The appeal is the story. The combat and puzzles are serviceable, but it's one of the best written games of the last decade. It gives very few definitive answers, and actually requires the player to think, draw parallels, make inferences, and theorycraft to understand it to the fullest. There is incredible attention to detail in the game that augments the story, which is often otherwise both rare and shallow in the medium.

Hello Black person. I will use words appropriate for a Grade 3 reading level to help you understand.
This is a video games board and a thread about a video game. I don't care about film. Please have a nice day, you moronic homosexual.

Hello Black person!
Lynch is a film director! You compared advanced narrative techniques, which are rare in games, to the works of Lynch. I don't give a frick about Lynch. I wonder if maybe you don't either, as you then moved the goalpost, to imply you were never talking about film.
That's okay, it is of no consequence!
I am sorry you are unable to understand more than the most basic and surface level aspects of a artistic work. After all, one would have to be a moronic gorilla Black person indeed to see a reference, allusion, or homage to something else as being the full extent of something's artistic merit. Perhaps there are Youtubers out there who could explain to you the less surface level interpretations of these works. I think you'd get a lot out of it!
>compared advanced narrative techniques
more like advanced autism techniques, I don't need to talk about film even if it's the influences. I thought you were so deep on all the symbols, reading and references lol. I can just call it an unnecessarily complex cluster frick and move on, why are almost all the main plot points obtuse and hidden, when all the references instead are obnoxiously thrust in your face in the most pretentious ways possible? why is the author so insecure with their own original ideas?

Care to remind me why the ending is based on your playstyle and if you idle in a fricking save room you get a bad endings not related to how you played at all? Or if you want to attach a reading list, how about you put in your game description.
Must have watched Eva, SH1-4, Read Lovecraft, specific knowledge of paintings, and other various autistic items that are hap hazard smushed together purely to reference better media. To make your work seem more sophisticated then it really is. Signalis needed an editor or a reading list. Maybe they should have included Mary's letter at the ending and plagiarized it entirely with some names flipped lmao

Greetings Black person. You should probably take a rest. It can't be easy carry those goalposts around so often. Oh well.
You are actually fricking moronic if you think:
A) Promise is the 'bad ending'. (That would and could only be Leave, which is earned by doing the exact opposite of what you said.)
B) I'm a Signalis dev. Those two are probably millionaires by now and they're not going to be arguing with the mentally infirm on Ganker. Maybe you simply cannot fathom how a game you don't enjoy could be enjoyed by others. A sign of autism, incidentally.
C) There is even a single line copied from the In Water ending. You could argue similar themes of killing a loved one to end their suffering and yet absolutely didn't. That would require an ounce of nuance, and you are utterly incapable of understanding that.
He's just a pseud. You can make anything sound meaninglessness by just being reductive. "Rich frick just wanted his childhood sled", "the two people are actually the same and the person is crazy because reasons", "the AI that goes crazy and then there's aliens for some reason", "the guy goes on a boat ride, a bunch of stupid shit happens and he takes way too fricking long to get home".
You contribute nothing to this world, and it would be better off without you. have a nice day you worthless homosexual. You're better off as a statistic.

How could you guys actually call this story boring and derivative? It was well delivered and compelling from start to finish and actually explores a truly horrifying fate. i liked the puzzles and the resident evil inventory
it sucks that the game doesnt let you upgrade the carry space tho
its pretty good for a troony human trainwreck game and i hope they make more before they commit suicide
Gameplay was fun, aesthetic was pleasing, story was enjoyable. Would I replay it 2-3 times more? No, probably not. It could've helped maybe enabling no inventory limit on NG+ or upgrading inventory slots throughout the story like most nu-Resi games do.
Kinda impressive that the game was made by just two German lesbians
what's most impressive is it seems like it's the devs first actual game. 99.9% of the time if a dev spends like 5+ years trying to refine a single project, especially if it's their first one, the result is something that will never get made or will end up shitty if it ever actually gets out the door.

>evangelion
You haven't played it
It's Silent Hill + Blame! + Ghost in the Shell + Lovecraft/Chamber
Anno didn't invent red backgrounds and crazy shit happening
can you explain to me besides the thin aesthetic similarities what the blame references are? Besides Sana/Cibo at a later stage what if any comparison is there even remotely(late sana/cibo is a caretaker/child almost. Ghost in the shell sure, but why do people keep throwing this around
>can you explain to me besides the thin aesthetic similarities what the blame references are?
Where did I say references? There are none per se, it's the style it takes from. The other titles and authors I mentioned? Sure.
you understand this game's plot is literally SH2, drowned ending, reversed inside of SH1 later stages, with also GITS mind frickery. The love craft stuff feels tacked on comparitively, but blame is being thrown in with simple aesthetic, when you see the cards popularized by Bake, and Eva effectivily EoE, 25/26 primarily. Of all the influences superficial relationship to blame, especially when it has also no relationship on any deeper level feels very vapid. You describe the game but it just doesn't seem right. Even pulling on Drakengard, with the false endings doesn't seem far compared to Nihei. It's the most superficial part of it. So I don't know why people draw on it. Also every Nihei work is unabashedly hetero
>none per se, it's the style it takes from
hard to disprove, but what I did was mention other more important influences that ended up being more crucial I just pointed out your deficiencies in labelling the broader list of influences, a little bit of style in character design. But even in style, it borrows more from silent hill by a long shot and it doesn't even resemble nihei style all that closely
Replikas and Gestalts feels much more on the nose don't you think? More relevant to in accordance to the plot even if they want to memory hole the ideas they put in on prior identities. Again dumb complex writing for no reason.
Falk felt more like https://youtu.be/qyuptuVGW-g by music, fight, and the rest of it. The vague resemblance of shape is again superficial, plus the fight itself feels so very different from what Blame was like, since Sanakan is basically a god being once we hit this stage. What relationship beyond the superficial there is, I just can not see.
I liked it because of the Silent Hill vibes, and cosmic horror stuff. But I saw the space lesbians plot reveal coming from a mile away since almost all of the characters were women to begin with.
Nothing but a tolerable resident evil clone. You can tell how bad off survival horror has been by how well this mediocre slapdash pile of derivative ideas was received. It's really sad.
I don't know why, but every modern piece of media about or including lesbians has a really obnoxious fanbase nowadays that I don't see with other gay media.
Mmm, nah, trannies aren't drawn to yuri because cute girls, if they just wanted cute girls there's plenty of non-yuri that meets that criteria.
They're specifically attracted to lesbian love, loving AS a lesbian, since they like to self-insert as lesbians.
It's also why modern yuri media rarely has any fanservice and is rarely horny, in an era where every other gacha game is shoving breasts in your face left, right, and center.
>like cute girls >been writing a game about them >it dawns on me that since they are all girls, it literally cant be anything but yuri related
and now im stuck, unless shoehorning a random male is the way to go.
i really liked this game. i played it on survivor mode and it was the most intense survival horror experience i've had in a long time. i thought i was desensitized to horror but the atmosphere was so oppressive, i jumped a good few times at things like enemies being alerted or just my shadow/reflection.
the lesbos behind this game definitely understood the power of atmosphere really well. the story was also good, pretentious but i like pretentious. the emotional manipulation of the music probably elevated the story more in my mind than it deserved but whatever, i enjoyed digging around for information and trying to piece together what happened
>find the 6 keys to open the door to find the key to look in the machine to find the key to open the box to find the key to etc etc
#1) this isn't a puzzle
#2) YEAH TOTALLY NOT JUST AN RE KNOCKOFF GUISE
I don't like Signalis, though. I thought it was just fine. The visuals and music can't carry the extremely derivative and inconclusive story and the incredibly cumbersome inventory management.
I like robot girls, used to live in east germany, and am deeply unsettled by the idea of radiation sickness. This game was made for me, frick /u/tards.
the number one complaint ive seen about this game is the smaller inventory. is it really that bad of a complaint? I've beaten the game twice and both times it was never an issue.
it's just zoomers who never played classic RE saying that. it's supposed to get you to plan what to take before setting out but zoomers can't understand the concept of limitations to create a challenge. they also don't like thinking
there is a lot of lame back tracking for items and medkits, that's the bummer since you can run most enemies until the end and by then you have enough ammo to do whatever
i think backtracking is only lame if you're in a hurry to finish the game. for me every extra moment i got to spend absorbing the game's atmosphere contributed to my enjoyment of it especially when the runback involved going through enemies. some people might consider that annoying but i thought it added to the intensity
legitimately the main inventory complaint I have is that the Eye Camera should've just been a utility/attachment that doesn't take up a slot, I never used it, but may have if it didn't waste inventory to be a discount print-scrn button.
The biggest issue with the inventory for me was the flashlight taking up a slot. But other than that the only problem with the inventory limit is my self-imposed desire to collect/hoard all the items in the map - even though I end up not using 90% of them by the end of the game. I think my experience would have been a lot smoother if I only ever picked up ammo/healing if I needed to use it right then, instead of picking it up THINKING I will need it soon.
It's because the level design and inventory limit don't mesh well.
Best way I can describe it is that Signalis has Silent Hill's level design, but Resident Evil 1's 6 slot inventory. There are many, many rooms in Signalis were there's 3+ unique items (ammo, health, key item etc.) and in a linear section where you need to run through 4-5+ rooms to get to and from. I love limited inventory, but you need to make sure the level design is top notch and designed for it to not be annoying.
You also have the garbage that is multiple sections of the game are essentially "gather 6 items to open a door". This sucks for a game with limited inventory slots. The 4 masks in REmake is also bad for this reason.
>All they have to do is die and the universe will be fine >They wont because of a PROMISE!
The funny thing, its supposed to be a touching romance and all that. But it makes them both come off as monsters that only care about themselves.
>lesbian romance
Wait what? It's Yuri?
Frick off.
Why does every single western indie that looks half interesting has to have yuri?
This is my second disappointment of the week, first it was Void Stranger
Early-2010 Touhou did irreparable damage to the western Otaku community
Western otaku from that period have NO IDEA how to make a compelling male character so they just turn to making every character female and gay
eva gay here, aside from the title cards before each chapter and one or two cutscenes being kinda reminiscent of eps 25 and 26 i didn't really get "eva vibes" unless eva is just the only thing with psychological elements other eva gays have seen. i'll go back to jerking off now
My lesbian aunt is disgusting, I don't understand why people fetishize lesbians. She's a flabby, triple-chinned brick with a meat hole, currently at least, she looked good until she let herself go. She married her (former) husband young and produced a son with him, after which she divorced. The husband, a hard-working mechanic, went on to commit suicide. The son joined the Marines, was dishonorably discharged for drug use, and went on to live under a bridge. My aunt then married this fat, hairy, flesh golem that we only call a 'woman' in polite society because of the chromosomes. The two of them now rake in a bunch of government dough raising foster kids. It's mind boggling to me that they're even allowed to influence these kids since children raised by lesbians have, definitively, the absolute WORST outcomes of any mixture of parents possible. I mean literally her own son, own flesh and blood, wound up being an insane drug-addled hobo, mind-broken by her separation from his natural father figure. I guess half the kids they have are black, so maybe it's still better than being raised by blacks, but still.
Just finished yesterday. I like the Silent Hill esque horror vibe but with it's own story that gets increasingly HP Lovecraft depending on how much you take to be "real".
>new LSTR units have been produced based on a decommissioned unit from the Penrose Program
Assuming this refers to LSTR-512, how did they retrieve her?
it seems to have intentionally been left vague but i just thought they had been tracking the ship since they were sending messages to it while the program was still underway. when it crashed they probably went to investigate whatever planet it landed on and recovered elster since she was still mostly intact and they needed her data
The ship had three things happen to it
1) It was stranded in space and the radiation shielding failed, nobody was recovered (impossible, because LSTR-512 was recovered)
2) It crashed on Leng, resulting in the discovery of the thing in the Sierpinsky mine and thus the creation of the mine (impossible, Sierpinsky was an alternative to Penrose program for Alina, so the mine already existed)
Actually or not? im not playing gayshit
There's a scene where they lean to each other and their 10x10 pixel faces touch. The story is not about them being in love.
iirc the ship didn't crash on leng. there's a note somewhere that says the ship passed the oort cloud which would be beyond leng.
my theory is that ariane in her comatose state unconsciously used her bioresonance to send out a signal and reaches whatever is under the mine on leng like some kind of esoteric radio tower, given that she trained as a radio operator (plus the game is literally called signalis) it fits thematically. physically the penrose ship is not underground in leng, when you pass the gate i imagine you enter some kind of dream world at that point
Most of the things necessary to the plot are impossible due to contradicting another necessary plot point. That's what I was getting at.
Ariane is the most powerful bioresonant and is a reincarnation of the Empress and the Great Revolutionary. iirc, the implication was that the thing in the bottom of the mines is the thing bioresonants are resonating with. She didn't reach out to it, it resonated with her.
>when you pass the gate I imagine you enter some kind of dream world at that point
The only part of the game that's potentially a dream is the intro, ending when LSTR reboots on the ground floor at S-25. There's no reason to assume anything else in the game is anything other than reality.
This game is like a 6/10, could have been better if it tried to be its own game instead of being 3 better games smashed together and glazed with superficial nonsense
>if it tried to be its own game instead of being 3 better games smashed together >He didn't even attempt to name the games
The only content it can be accused of aping is SH2. Everything else in SIGNALIS is adopted to serve a new meaning.
The setup of them being stranded on a ship slowly killing them, so far beyond reach of anything that they might as well be in another universe and no hope of any kind hit me really hard for some reason, don't know why since it's not like it's not an uncommon trope or anything and I've read enough sci-fi stories to know this by heart.
I guess it's presented in a really emotional way, I felt the hopelessness and inevitability.
>The setup of them being stranded on a ship slowly killing them, so far beyond reach of anything that they might as well be in another universe and no hope of any kind hit me really hard for some reason
And that was the happy part of their lives because they were finally free from communism lmao.
Or maybe just because it's a good game? Still haven't finished it, the last zone filtered me with all the "find useless artifacts or whatever to open a big door in a location that makes no sense in a 3d plan and with no map".
Is it worth trying again? What changes in ng+? Only the story? I was told there's multiple cycles.
Owes more to Nihei than Eva. Great music, attractive art style mixing pixel art and low-poly 3D to great effect, somewhat interesting dreamlike narrative, solid old-school survival horror gameplay and four different endings. Excellent effort for something made by two people who were students when they started.
This game is like a 6/10, could have been better if it tried to be its own game instead of being 3 better games smashed together and glazed with superficial nonsense
good, you're a homosexual for thinking they should be in any capacity, games should be games. i still enjoyed the references to things i like in signalis and enjoyed how they were used at that, and it was refreshing to play a classic survival horror. i couldn't give 2 shits about its "artistic pursuits" because i'm not a wine sipping homosexual who likes getting pegged

if you don't like it, you're objectively a massive homosexual with shit taste in video games.
The literature and advisory notes suggesting that they kill themselves before the inevitable suffering sets in was what really drove the whole thing home for me. Being trapped in that situation with no way out would truly be a test of one's resolve.
For me it invoked a strong feeling of being unwanted and discarded. Very cold, lonely and sad
When you find out more of the background lore it only gets worse, too
The atmosphere, gameplay, level design drew me in, the lore/worldbuilding was very good. Felt very unique, I don't really care about the theoretical relationship, it's pretty much just minor background noise.
it would've been a mediocre indie release no one would even in the time where horror vidya was still being made in a time when tripleA didn't shit the bed,
now the genre and vidya as a whole are so dead you're getting bastardized versions of the past with worse story and artstyle with demakes so this is a godsend in comparision,
and the worst thing about this is this game is both germaboo AND yuriBlack personing,
you cannot invite more mentally ill freaks in this world by this combination
Story was a pretentious troony dogshit that makes you roll your eyes.
But the gameplay was solid and I wish it was longer (just cut the story cringe and let me play more).
So what about the floating city the size of Texas during the last chapter and the survey, the coral "aorte" device to suck out coral off the planet towering the whole map in the reach the convergence mission, everything about the massive wall, the grid where Carla is hiding, or the giant underground tunnel with the nepenthes looking straight like a weapon from BlAME! with how destructive it is sleeping at the bottom?
Even the inside of the Xylem looks like parts of the megacity endlessly spread and built by robots with how big and labyrinthian it looks.
And remember that everything is seen from the perspective of our giant AC, things are even more massive than that. Look up videos of people importing the maps of AC6 in elden ring, the whole game use real scales.

I'm not even being reductive, anon. That's all the story is. You can make anything sound significant by fluffing it up, too, pseud. Sorry I didn't think your boring derivative game/story was groundbreaking, but it wasn't.
How could you guys actually call this story boring and derivative? It was well delivered and compelling from start to finish and actually explores a truly horrifying fate. Do you think you're somehow smarter for calling it shit or something? There's no bigger sign of a person being a pseud than this.
>you didn't like my ramshackle reference slop so ur dumb
Ok
>recognizing the use of references makes me smart and makes the work in question shit
Wow what a big smart man you are, anon.
>brings up movies
>brings up weebshit animes
>n-not muh movies
>still unable to bring up any video game from the last decade written just as well
>brings up books
>silent hill 4
>2004
>still no video games from the last decade
>conceded
weebgay watched one anime and thinks he's an intellectual
Dismissing you as a desperate fandom troony pseud is not a concession, anon.
>references anime
>pseud
how are you still in this thread? weebshits really have zero self-awareness to feel embarrassed huh?
You should take your meds, I'm not whatever weeb you're talking about, I'm another guy who thinks you're a fricking moron overselling a derivative 6/10 because you're an obnoxious transbian
take your meds
I'm not whatever fricking moron overselling a derivative 6/10
I'm another guy who thinks you're a shitposter with nothing to add to the conversation
>No I
Concession accepted troon, go to bed
i really liked the 1st person sections, wish there were more of them that weren't walking on a beach
Can you help me understand it? Isn't it all just a dream one is having due to being forced alive, or is there more to it?
He's just a pseud. The one in the coffin is a super-psychic, and due to ????? radiation + lovecraft reasons her powers are amplified to the extent that she's re-writing time and space in her vicinity, with increasingly shit results as time goes on. It's not fancy, it's not complicated, it's a really basic vague story if you're not sub-100 IQ. Anyone positioning it as anything more than average is a certified midwit.
i like it for the monogatari vibes
i liked the puzzles and the resident evil inventory
it sucks that the game doesnt let you upgrade the carry space tho
its pretty good for a troony human trainwreck game and i hope they make more before they commit suicide
>brings up trannies completely unprompted
Rent free, you fricking Black person.
Let me guess, you like Celeste too
i genuinely hope they make more aaa games fricking suck its like being trapped in moron hell
Gameplay was fun, aesthetic was pleasing, story was enjoyable. Would I replay it 2-3 times more? No, probably not. It could've helped maybe enabling no inventory limit on NG+ or upgrading inventory slots throughout the story like most nu-Resi games do.
>Play a survival horror game
>wah why are there survival horror mechanics in my survival horror game wah
This is why we can’t have nice things.
great atmosphere, great music too and an interesting setting too.
indies should start doing more ps1 retro
>ps1 retro
this has been done to death already. have you been living under a rock the past couple of years?
>LE HORROR VHS GAME PS1 GAEM XD
frick that. Give me REAL ps1 aesthetic games.
Kinda impressive that the game was made by just two German lesbians
took them almost 10 years
what's most impressive is it seems like it's the devs first actual game. 99.9% of the time if a dev spends like 5+ years trying to refine a single project, especially if it's their first one, the result is something that will never get made or will end up shitty if it ever actually gets out the door.
german work ethic, with german mental issues
Pixelsignalis looks great too
They really know their graphics design
Are they lesbians? I thought one of them has a husband.
I like it because puzzles, spooky and cryptic story
I know this gets thrown around a lot but I thought the story and presentation was pretty Lynchian and I liked that a lot.
A YouTube shill tried explaining that it's a mix of Silent Hill and Resident Evil, but to be honest it looks like trash.
>It's resident evil because of tank controls and because you shoot!
stop listening to tardtubers
its a survival horror game with limited inventory, item boxes, and REmakes corpse burning. how is it not inspired heavily by resident evil?
>limited inventory, item boxes
RE invented those?
i guess the signalis devs just coincidentally came up with the idea to do that. they must not have played the biggest series in the genre.
Answer the question
inventory, item boxes
did RE invented those?
they invented using it in the classic survival horror context, which signalis heavily takes influence from
>they invented using it
>invented using
I think you might be moronic.
Maybe you wanted to say "they used those elements not invented by them in a survival horror environment and popularized it"
Anon, you're transparently sperging about semantics, Signalis is desperately derivative and if you'd contort yourself like this to deny it I can only surmise that you're disingenuous.
Screeching "heh, muh semantics!" when you don't know how to reply properly is a surefire way to announce you're intellectually done with the discussion.
I also reject your cheapo projection btw.
>no u
The dude above you at least tried to snatch a win.
bg
no re
I don't have to say anything else, anon, because you're just trolling. Have a nice day.
whatever, you are the one who is making moronic ass claims in the first place so don't point fingers
>evangelion
You haven't played it
It's Silent Hill + Blame! + Ghost in the Shell + Lovecraft/Chamber
Anno didn't invent red backgrounds and crazy shit happening
pic unrelated
can you explain to me besides the thin aesthetic similarities what the blame references are?
You disproved nothing of what I said but went on a tangent anyway, I think you might have aspergers.
>none per se, it's the style it takes from
hard to disprove, but what I did was mention other more important influences that ended up being more crucial I just pointed out your deficiencies in labelling the broader list of influences, a little bit of style in character design. But even in style, it borrows more from silent hill by a long shot and it doesn't even resemble nihei style all that closely
idk maybe all the characters looking like Safeguards? They're even called "Protektors" for frick's sake. The final boss is literally just pic related.
The sprite with the flashing images on her body is literally named Lab_EVA.png, you cant say they havent used it as inspiration
Yuri fans are like pathological drug addicts
Best and most original interpretation of Lovecraft's works since Bloodborne. Midwits got filtered.
I liked it because of the Silent Hill vibes, and cosmic horror stuff. But I saw the space lesbians plot reveal coming from a mile away since almost all of the characters were women to begin with.
How should I know?
Nothing but a tolerable resident evil clone. You can tell how bad off survival horror has been by how well this mediocre slapdash pile of derivative ideas was received. It's really sad.
The game was a piece of SHIT so I refunded it.
I don't know why, but every modern piece of media about or including lesbians has a really obnoxious fanbase nowadays that I don't see with other gay media.
trannies are drawn to it like a moth to a flame
For obvious reasons, they're still men and still like women sexually.
Look out for the troony scholar over here.
>like cute girls
>been writing a game about them
>it dawns on me that since they are all girls, it literally cant be anything but yuri related
and now im stuck, unless shoehorning a random male is the way to go.
>since they are all girls
Not quite
i really liked this game. i played it on survivor mode and it was the most intense survival horror experience i've had in a long time. i thought i was desensitized to horror but the atmosphere was so oppressive, i jumped a good few times at things like enemies being alerted or just my shadow/reflection.
the lesbos behind this game definitely understood the power of atmosphere really well. the story was also good, pretentious but i like pretentious. the emotional manipulation of the music probably elevated the story more in my mind than it deserved but whatever, i enjoyed digging around for information and trying to piece together what happened
I liked it because it reminded me of Nihei stuff
You're at the red gate when this 8'2" Führungskommando slaps your gf's ass. What do you do?
Hug her
What he said, but also mating press. I want to put her massive legs over my shoulders, don't care if they're pointy.
I assume the position
Rape her to assert dominance.
Only troonbian freaks like it
lesbianism in anything modern is a trans lesbian dog whistle
trans """~~*lesbian*~~""" janny didn't like me telling it like it is
>puzzle game
I don't want to think thoughever.
>find the 6 keys to open the door to find the key to look in the machine to find the key to open the box to find the key to etc etc
Never heard of it.
who is worse signalis lesbians or elisium commies?
>implying biological women lesbians play this fricking game
You know what this is.
that's kinda sad to think about I wish I didn't have to have that realization, seeing the community a lot of it clicks. Sickening.
elysium commies because at least the wannabe anime girls can be cute
>at least the wannabe anime girls can be cute
tell me what?
the the wannabe anime girls (i.e. trannies) are never cute
They're cute just with default face
nice
I like robot girls, used to live in east germany, and am deeply unsettled by the idea of radiation sickness. This game was made for me, frick /u/tards.
I lost my hard drive recently, and with it my whole Signalis folder. Can you guys help a brother out?
the number one complaint ive seen about this game is the smaller inventory. is it really that bad of a complaint? I've beaten the game twice and both times it was never an issue.
I had trouble with it my first playthrough then zero problems on the second when I realized that carrying extra ammo was just a waste of space.
it's just zoomers who never played classic RE saying that. it's supposed to get you to plan what to take before setting out but zoomers can't understand the concept of limitations to create a challenge. they also don't like thinking
there is a lot of lame back tracking for items and medkits, that's the bummer since you can run most enemies until the end and by then you have enough ammo to do whatever
i think backtracking is only lame if you're in a hurry to finish the game. for me every extra moment i got to spend absorbing the game's atmosphere contributed to my enjoyment of it especially when the runback involved going through enemies. some people might consider that annoying but i thought it added to the intensity
Nah, it was a good idea. The people b***hing about it are just shitters.
legitimately the main inventory complaint I have is that the Eye Camera should've just been a utility/attachment that doesn't take up a slot, I never used it, but may have if it didn't waste inventory to be a discount print-scrn button.
The issue is not the size of inventory it's the fricking flashlight.
>Universe is falling apart because two lesbians are forcing everyone into a timeloop of eternal suffering
Really makes ya think.
>lesbians
>eternal suffering
Why is it always like this.
>All they have to do is die and the universe will be fine
>They wont because of a PROMISE!
The funny thing, its supposed to be a touching romance and all that. But it makes them both come off as monsters that only care about themselves.
Is this bait or did you not realize what 'the promise' is
Yeah and they keep fricking it up.
I can tell you've never loved someone. I'd sacrifice the entire universe and everything in it for the one I love. Frick everyone else
>neither is aware of the consequences/way to prevent the loop until the end of each loop
>anon blames the loopers for the consequences
why sacrifice for a world that hates you?
zogbot mentality makes no sense
first care about people around you before you try saving the world, something israelite brainwashed people today will never get
Never played this game but all I see here is Ruby and Weiss.
>lesbian romance
Wait what? It's Yuri?
>So do people just like Signalis because of the evangelion vibes and the lesbian romance?
That's literally the only thing it can be, since every meaningful aspect of the game is complete and utter dogshit.
Robots can't be lesbian
they're androids with human personalities imprinted on them, so yeah they can
>evangelion vibes
Eva gays are so moronic its unreal. Stick to jerking off over the girls.
eva gay here, aside from the title cards before each chapter and one or two cutscenes being kinda reminiscent of eps 25 and 26 i didn't really get "eva vibes" unless eva is just the only thing with psychological elements other eva gays have seen. i'll go back to jerking off now
My lesbian aunt is disgusting, I don't understand why people fetishize lesbians.
I like the Silent Hill esque horror vibe but with it's own story that gets increasingly HP Lovecraft depending on how much you take to be "real".
wow how cool and original. HP Lovecraft? damn i have never played anything inspired by him before i bet its going to be so cool and unique!!!
wasnt this """""game""""" made by a twitter troony?
yes it was
its still a fun game tho its worth a pirate of you dont want to pay gay people
No, it was made by two German biological women.
The devs used their real names in early press about the game. They're men.
>they
No, they're biological women. One of them has a husband.
I don't know where the myths of "they're trannies" or "they're lesbians" comes from.
It's one schizo that wants to make shit up to try and get other people to hate something he is targeting.
Typical moron narcissists behavior.

>new LSTR units have been produced based on a decommissioned unit from the Penrose Program
There's no reason to assume anything else in the game is anything other than reality.
>if it tried to be its own game instead of being 3 better games smashed together
>He didn't even attempt to name the games
The only content it can be accused of aping is SH2. Everything else in SIGNALIS is adopted to serve a new meaning.
>The setup of them being stranded on a ship slowly killing them, so far beyond reach of anything that they might as well be in another universe and no hope of any kind hit me really hard for some reason
And that was the happy part of their lives because they were finally free from communism lmao.
It apes Resident Evil (broadly,) Silent Hill (broadly,) and the works of Franz Kafka (reading is a game)
Signalis is just Black Souls 2 but for lesbians and less elaborate.
Do you think Elster is the sub or the dom
sub would be pretty hot but realistically she's probably the dom
Neither. She insists to always be standing.
I'm actually just a huge sucker for fixed angle views in video games.
Not watched eva and don't care about lesbians. I just love the game's atmosphere and presentation.
This game is like a 6/10, could have been better if it tried to be its own game instead of being 3 better games smashed together and glazed with superficial nonsense
your favorite game is probably 3 games smashed together, most games are. doesn't make them inherently bad either
>It doesn't MATTER that there's no creativity involved!!! Shut up!!!
This is why games will never EVER be art
good, you're a homosexual for thinking they should be in any capacity, games should be games. i still enjoyed the references to things i like in signalis and enjoyed how they were used at that, and it was refreshing to play a classic survival horror. i couldn't give 2 shits about its "artistic pursuits" because i'm not a wine sipping homosexual who likes getting pegged
And tell me, anon-- what do you know about this "art?"
>people have been bemoaning a lack of creativity since the biblical era (there is nothing new under the sun), every story is a retreading of the Hero's Journey
>modern day moron thinks something isn't creative if it borrows elements of other things and makes a very unique product
Your favorite media property is a knockoff of the Epic of Gilgamesh, maybe they should try being original for once.
>Your favorite media property is a knockoff of the Epic of Gilgamesh
I bet you think this quote from a youtube video you watched once sounds awful smart, anon. I wonder if you've even read Gilgamesh to say something like that. And I don't have a """favourite media property""" because I'm not a child and/or moron.
hentai mod when?
It's okay, a little pretentious but I like the aesthetic and the simple gameplay.
>cool symbolism
>cool art direction
>cool atmosphere and world building
>good enough survival horror gameplay
>good enough puzzles
>open-ended story to allow for the search of truth, see itt homosexuals STILL arguing over what it means, people eat this shit up, it's just like the bible
>anime robot women-only (for the most part) future
>anime robot women lesbian action
if you don't like it, you're objectively a massive homosexual with shit taste in video games.
The literature and advisory notes suggesting that they kill themselves before the inevitable suffering sets in was what really drove the whole thing home for me. Being trapped in that situation with no way out would truly be a test of one's resolve.
For me, it's Isa realizing the truth and undergoing soupification.
For me it invoked a strong feeling of being unwanted and discarded. Very cold, lonely and sad
When you find out more of the background lore it only gets worse, too
>yurishit
dropped
The atmosphere, gameplay, level design drew me in, the lore/worldbuilding was very good. Felt very unique, I don't really care about the theoretical relationship, it's pretty much just minor background noise.
did anyone get the artbook/thesis or whatever it was? dipped out when the threads went full general

it would've been a mediocre indie release no one would even in the time where horror vidya was still being made in a time when tripleA didn't shit the bed,
now the genre and vidya as a whole are so dead you're getting bastardized versions of the past with worse story and artstyle with demakes so this is a godsend in comparision,
and the worst thing about this is this game is both germaboo AND yuriBlack personing,
you cannot invite more mentally ill freaks in this world by this combination

But the gameplay was solid and I wish it was longer (just cut the story cringe and let me play more).
It's mostly the yurishit, yes.
Brothers, why the frick is it 2023 and there are no games, other than Signalis and NaissanceE, that match Blame's vibe?
homie play armored core 6 what the frick are you doing
I did, in the opening level, you get that vibe, but the more you play it, it just isn't.
