So has anyone seen or installed the new Picoboot modchip to your Gamecubes? its a brand new method tahat finally doesnt require the disc reader, it can boot directly to SWISS, i was wondering if i can order the boards from pic related since those are half the price from the ones ive seen posted in the few videos ive watched, anyone knows if these are the same thing?

This literally hasn't been an issue since 2009. I prefer to use a Gamecube for its games and the GBP, but perhaps you should do more research next time before you talk shit.
You can use homebrew to boot to whatever you want automatically. I always set Nintendont to boot the bios for GameCube games so I can watch the intro.

GCloader is much more expensive and, like most of Dan Kunz's products, constantly out of stock.
Picoboot, SD2SP and a decent sized sd card costs you less than $30 bucks all up. That's a sane price to pay for the hobby of artistically modding 20 year old computers.

GCLoader is expensive and requires you to remove the DVD Drive altogether. This allows you to keep the drive in place and boot OG discs if you wish. It also has different boot combinations so you can boot directly to GB Interface for example

The cables have been reverse engineered, there are cheaper alternatives now, even full HDMI adapters are possible since the Cube has a Digital out.

Congratulations, you just answered yourself. One is MICRO CONTROLLER with limited functionality, the other is a SOC.
GameCube wasn't a SoC, it had separate CPU and GPU. Even the Wii did that, actually.
That aside, the GameCube CPU is still far ahead, the DMIPS score is about 3x higher. M0+ doesn't even have an FPU.

I was referring to the comparison bettwen the PICO (microcontroller) and and normal Raspi (SOC), but I can see how that could have been misunderstood.
This is the best option now but you'll be hearing otherwise from those chumps who bought the inferior and more expensive GC Loader for a loooong time.
