>worse music >worse boss battles >drops depressing atmosphere for zoomer humor cutscenes to be suitable for the bing bing wahoo audience >rat steals your card (wtf is this, Looney Tunes?)
the only good thing about it is that you can get the sniper and temperature card much faster than in the original
>>rat steals your card (wtf is this, Looney Tunes?)
Twin Snakes is shit but that could happen in the original game. The card will either just fall in the water or a rat will grab it and you have to lure the rat out and kill it.
Yes it does. It might be a difficulty thing or if you take too long to collect the card, the rat is in the original.

I have played MGS millions of times since its release on PS1 i never saw the rat. but now I googled it and I'm shocked... holy shit why I never encountered it?
The script had some baffling changes too, and mostly I'm thinking of changing Otacon's line about Rex's weak point from "It's not a weak point! It's a character flaw!" to "It's not a weak point! It's a weakness!" which is basically just a weaker, more moronic version of the same line.
First person aiming with any weapon alone ruins the entire game, MGS1 was not designed for it and makes everything trivial. TTS needed to redesign every area if they want to add it, but they didn't.
I really welcome a MGS1 remake so boomers can realise how dogshit their nostalgiababy is. There is no real gameplay, its all fetch quests, gimmick bosses and avoiding blue cones on the radar. The only good bit of gameplay is the second fight with Vulcan Raven which is just a glorified bomberman level.
There is a way to make it well received. >remake plays out pretty much the same up into mantis >when you defeat mantis a cutscene plays called chapter 2 >it shows you fighting sniper wolf, the hind, liquid, raven and rex >but none of it is in the game
Ship it, charge 60 bucks and watch every review site and zoomer give it a 10/10.
Every good retro vidya needs a FF7 style big budget triple A game remake. Give both Mother 1 and Metal Gear Solid open worlds with RDR2 tier graphics and 80 hour long narratives with entirely new gameplay.
A remake would almost definitely be better than the original shitty game, but the fanbase is nothing but rabid deranged nostalgiagays who won't admit it
>So how badly would a remake of pic related be received?
The remake already exists and it is trash.
There is nothing wrong with TTS
>but muh voice acting and cutacenes
>worse music

The Mantis theme was kino though.

the rat doesn't exist in the original.
you have to keep searching the water till you get it

Everyone would love it except Ganker

it already happened and its shit moron, next time will lose even more soul
Why haven't they ported Twin Snakes to other platforms like the REmake?
Same reason you can't play MGS on a modern console - Konami doesn't give a frick. Capcom does.
Twin Snakes is kino actually
There is a way to make it well received.

A sequel disguised as a remake?
Giving MGS 1 a sequel that would contradict MGS 2 would be fitting of the universe

IT DOESN'T NEED A REMAKE AND IM TIRED OF YOU FRICKING PLEBS ASKING FOR EVERY GAME TO GET A REMAKE
NO RESIDENT EVIL 2 DIDN'T NEED ONE EITHER THE ORIGINAL IS KINO AND STILL HAS UNSETTLING ATOMESPHERE
