>Ps2 emulators have trouble running mgs2 and mgs3
There's a difference between running native code and emulator, dumbass, unless you genuinely believe Konami made a fully working PS3 or 360 emulator (since these are the HD versions) on fricking Switch, then you're genuinely moronic.
The 3DS MGS3 was designed for the 3DS, it also looked worse than the HD version of MGS3. This collection is just a straight port of the HD versions of 2 and 3.
i would say it runs it realy well but its "fine"
it only turns to complete shit if you use the smoke granade, then the game goes to like 15 fps.
its constant 22fps
>it only turns to complete shit if you use the smoke granade, then the game goes to like 15 fps. >its constant 22fps
Anon, it's worse than that.
The fps cap is set to 20 fps max and often runs well below that.
yeah but is CONSTANT 20 fps just like the subsistence version of mgs3 on the ps2
that version also runs bellow 30fps but since its CONSTANT and never dips nobody notices it

It's fricking not.

well maybe my 3ds is fricking better built than the other ones cause it runs smooth to me, almost the same as the PS2 version.
Seemed fine from the trailer. They managed to Snake Eater running (albeit janky) on the 3DS back in 2013, no reason the Switch shouldn't run it well in 2023.
>official website says that each game will need several gigabytes, even for the physical copies >eShop listings show them as just a couple hundred megabytes
I'm really confused and I don't think I'll get answers until after it releases.
Pic related. The physical edition is a glorified download menu.
64 GB is the highest. So they could fit the entire collection and all of the bonus content there. Or they could have sprang for the 32 GB cartridge and fit all the games while leaving the bonuses as download only. Or they could have gone with one of the smaller carts and included just a single game to not completely israelite out. But they didn't.
The most shocking thing is that the smallest Switch cart available is 2 GB, meaning that Konami somehow couldn't fit a fricking download button onto that much without going 400 MB over.
Holy shit Vol 2 is going to be a bigger mess. For sure MGS4, Rising and V will be cloud streaming version like the Switch versions of RE7 and KH3 were. Rest of the games will be downloads.
The ps3 isn't as special as snoygays make it out to be. Most of those games were released on the 360+PC, and many have been ported with little issue to modern hardware. Including the Switch.
>many fanbases like mario's or sonic's are capable of dismantling their respective games, edit them and straight up replicate them in new games and mods >mgs fanbase at best can mod one or two things or rip the audio only for more schizo theories
reviving mgo's the only valuable thing they have done, so maybe you're on to something
>So how well will it run on there? >on there
English can also rely on context to convey a point without extra words or phrases.
In this case, you posted an image of a Switch game case which establishes the context as Switch related. The "it" of your sentence is referring to the game you brought into context with the image. Since there is no other context implying an emulator, one can assume you are referring to the Switch as the environment where the game will "run." So, "on there" is redundant as you already established "where" with the image. You are effectively saying "So how well will it run [on the Switch] on there?" as you are repeating known information.
>Switch
>run well
Why do you believe it would have difficulty running?
The thing struggles to run shit like Totk when there's two or more things on screen at the same time. And that's a first party game.
It's a fricking remaster of a PS1 game and 2 PS2 games that the Vita ran well.
You fricking idiot.
PS2 emulators have trouble running mgs2 and mgs3
You need to own an external microSD to install like 30gigs of cutscenesvin order to run it
>Ps2 emulators have trouble running mgs2 and mgs3
Good thing they aren't emulating it, huh?

Frick that, his line of thinking leads him to believe that they got a PS3 emulator on the Vita.
The 3ds ran MGS3 pretty well.
I don't see why the Switch would have issues.
>The 3ds ran MGS3 pretty well.
No, it didn't.
With that said, anyone who believes any of these games will struggle is moronic, like OP.
>The 3ds ran MGS3 pretty well.
Delusional tendie lmao

Delusional.
anon the PS2 version of subsistence run realy badly too
Seemed fine from the trailer. They managed to Snake Eater running (albeit janky) on the 3DS back in 2013, no reason the Switch shouldn't run it well in 2023.
So what's going to actually be on the catridge? Just MG1 and 2? And MGS1-3 are downloads?
>official website says that each game will need several gigabytes, even for the physical copies

>2.4gb cartridge
>entire collection requires 54.1gb
Holly fricking kek.
What's the biggest cartridge Nintendo offers for Switch games? I imagine 2.4gb is the smallest and Konami is being a israelite with spending?
I believe the biggest is either 16 GB or 32 GB for normal devs
Anyway, Konami is clearly israeliteing hard
The weird thing is that Konami actually managed to compress MGS2HD and MGS3HD to fit on one DVD (double layered) for 360.
MGS2 + MGS3 + MG1 + MG2 on 360 is less than MGS2 for Switch.
64 GB is the highest. So they could fit the entire collection and all of the bonus content there. How the frick both MG and MG2 are 1,4gb.
Both games are like 40mbs at worst on original hardware, how the frick are so fricking big.
HD versions of them with upscaled shit and no compression because frick you but a bigger SD card.
Holy shit Vol 2 is going to be a bigger mess. For sure MGS4, Rising and V will be cloud streaming version like the Switch versions of RE7 and KH3 were. Rest of the games will be downloads.
I think the switch can handle Rising without streaming but yea the others definitely not.
>For sure MGS4, Rising and V will be cloud streaming version
They're all 7th gen games. Rising even got ported to Tegra.
I have an Nvidia Shield TV. MGS2, MGS3 and the Rising ports all ran like shit.
Imagine buying the physical then going on a trip and loading it up just to find out there's ZERO games on the cartridge.
Do we have confirmation who's making the port? From the way it looks, it looks a lot like M2's previous collections
If this is M2’s work then I have absolutely no hang-ups about buying it. Those guys are the real deal.
The Switch is only underpowered compared to modern Gen you morons. It can run PS2 and even ps3 games just fine.
>It can run ps3 games just fine
Nothing can run PS3 games just fine, not even the PS3.
The ps3 isn't as special as snoygays make it out to be. Most of those games were released on the 360+PC, and many have been ported with little issue to modern hardware. Including the Switch.
Yeah, if the console can run Bayonetta and Dark Souls Remastered, I don’t see why MGS2 and 3 would be an issue.
Because the morons on this board think the Switch is no more powerful than a Wii.
Probably pretty well. Stuff like RE4 and the Resident Evil Remake runs well on the Switch, so I don’t see why these wouldn’t.
Yeah, but they have super shit loading times
Reminder that Metal Gear fans, especially on Ganker, are completely tech illiterate.
>many fanbases like mario's or sonic's are capable of dismantling their respective games, edit them and straight up replicate them in new games and mods

nintendo discussion goes on the mobile board homosexual
Switch is like an Xbox 360, if it can run in the 360, it can run in Switch.
Take a look at this piece of shit and you'll have your answer
I already have this tho. Is getting vol 1 even worth it for me?
MGS1, I guess, but you'll be able to buy each game separately.
If you buy a pack, you also get MG1 for NES and Snake's Revenge (lmao) as a bonus
Does your 360 still work?
Series X
Then no.
what kind of computer do you need to run citra?
im trying to use those cool HD mods but i cant get the game to run
i can run mgs4 on the ps3 emulator just fine
>So how well will it run on there?
>on there

have sex, incel.
Anon, all these games were 3 or more generations ago.
