Here every single Dialogue Choice feels like it's catered to go into it's own tree as opposed to building off of what was previously said. Like, you'd expect thematically to follow up sentence 1 with 2 and 3 and go down the list or just mix and match. But no, you're given a bunch of dialogue options you can exhaust on the first fricking long rest and then when you randomly or accidentally click your party members they give flavor text about what just occurred or whatever without having it "refresh" the trees so there's no real sense of progression.
Like, I've killed the Hag, Owl Bear and knocked out the Shadow Druid shit. Yet Shadowfart is here insisting that not enough time has passed or whatever and she's being a coy homosexual. Dragon Age Origins was lightyears ahead of BG3 in the writing department, they even had non sexuality based conversations. Having sexuality-locked romances is not efficient nowadays. There's a huge chance someone won't be able to romance the one that appeals to them, potentially not buying the game at all because of it. Just look at how many people were annoyed that Judy was female-locked.
Companions in RPGs having a wide variety of sexual preferences makes them more realistic and believable imo. I hated how every companion in Fallout 4 was bi. It was so boring.
Hell, we should actually go one step further and give companions preferences for how your custom character looks. Like if you made a genuinely ugly character, like literally a clown or a goblin, some companions should deny you romance. They could track your character's ugliness by how extreme your sliders were in character creation. I don't know why no game has done that yet. It's cool as frick imo.

the game was 100% made by women. all the guy homosexual shit combined with the absolutely awful male customization options make it obvious. An electric dragon bloodline is better than storm sorcerer, right? I'll be abusing water + lightning anyway, that does damage.
They're tied. Storm sorc gets better resistances (both thunder and lightning automatically, no resource expenditure) and superior aoe damage (half sorc level aoe) while draconics get permanent mage armour, slightly more hp, some additional damage and a resistance they need to use sorcery points to unlock.
Also stormsorcs get that flight ability which is excellent for positioning.
It's that additional damage that's attractive. Makes you kind of like an evoker, for a single element.
Yeah you might make it work. Go pick up 2 levels of tempest cleric and maximise your chain lightnings and enjoy being strong once in a short rest.
