The objective is to be the first introduction of the Feudal Japan setting as realized by Assassin's Creed, and the overall fantasy that the common player associates with that period, fundamental to that fantasy is the point of view of a Native male Samurai, there are expectations that must be fulfilled so that the concept is executed as promised.
By not having that the game misses the main concept, fulfilling the fantasy of the setting, you will be selling the game for people interested in Yasuke, or the female ninja perspective, not the common widespread fantasy of a samurai in Feudal Japan, the former being much more niche than the later.
