So now that Fallout is dead what post apocalyptic games do you recommend?
If you're into tactical RPGs there's Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden and Miasma Chronicles. Incidentally both are from the same studio.
The games a mixed bag but it's nothing offensive and has decent combat, I remember liking the environments a lot, story is total letdown though thrown out with really boring exposition.

most don't as anything that isn't D&D/fantasy style gets snubbed pretty hard by the majority that play/buy pen and paper.

That game was so horrid. Have they at least patched in actual keyboard and mouse controls? Thing at launch was wasd with qr and with the mouse only able to rotate inventory. It was like they made it for a controller and couldn't be bothered with a Keyboard/mouse UI.
Mutant year sucked. It’s like if you took nu-xcom and removed 90% of the game. I assume the next one sucked just as much for the same reason. In fact, I bet even the homosexual LGBT version of nucom was better than both, mutant year was so shit.

I would say look into Atom RPG, I glanced at it a while ago and apparently it plays similar to classic Fallout games, but it was recently hit with some negative reviews that are now deleted so I assume the dev did something stupid.
Besides that try . Fallout existing in the first place was thanks to Wasteland.

WL3 is an acceptable take on modern CRPG with just enough production to catch the eye of your average person not necessarily into the hobby. It's not without annoying elements.

Wasteland 3 was alright, I think Patriarch is well done dictator unlike Ceasar in NV who comes off as a cartoon villain. Also liked if you simply do your job you get the best ending, whereas if you follow the wannabe freedom fighter Angela you end up turning Colorado into a shithole slaver society.

The real ending is the bad one, it just works so much better and hits so much harder being there specifically and seeing everyone

Guns available if you put points in intelligence and speech, if not I would recommand a strong unamred stat.
