So one day I found the /osr/ and related communities on reddit. I thought it would be really cool to hang out with people who enjoy that aspect of tabletop games and swap ideas with them. Which I did, some of them were cool, there was fun to be had. I won't lie, I kind of also wanted to build up some minor post history there and ingratiate myself enough so that I could release pdfs of rpg content for slight profit. It wasn't really going to be for money, to be honest I just wanted a community of half-way nice people who were excited to buy whatever ideas I cooked up.
Well I never made it that far. Because the whole thing has turned into a collection of homosexuals. It started small, with every set of rules or content anyone released having trigger warnings. Then nobody could mention content written by Zak Sabboth because apparently he abused a b***h? Then it got kind of blatant with them kvetching as a community if someone used the word "race" to describe a character's obvious biological difference like being a fricking orc. Finally, it got to cultural appropriation.
I don't even want to hang out with these homosexuals anymore. Nobody can disagree with anything or they get censored, blacklisted, and boycotted. Is this what it's like for the whole hobby? Please tell me this is not who plays Tabletop RPGs as a whole.
Go back.
>reddit
>reddit and pol at the same time
Leave.
Christ, if you post on Ganker, you are part of /misc/. If you don't think that you align with at least SOME of the bullshit on /misc/, you would be on fricking reddit like OPs dumbass was.
If you don't want trigger warnings, X cards, LGBT bs clogging your game? You are a right wing, neo-nazi, /misc/tard.
OP, you were instructed to have a nice day, not continue posting.
>if you post on Ganker, you are part of /misc/.
Fricking have a nice day you post-2016 tumor
Get fricked
You fricking have a nice day, homosexual. Not OP, but you don't belong here if anyone who doesn't like this gay shit in their games is pejoratively a /misc/ nazi to you. Fricking embarrassing moron, frick off.
Hi OP! Please have a nice day without delay. Trust me, the world will be better off without you.
>associate with redditors
>wonder why everyone around you seems to be a homosexual
have a nice day and blame it on one of them bullying you.
>Please tell me this is not who plays Tabletop RPGs as a whole.
Most people in the hobby play with their group and don't care about whatever nonsense is going on in a forgotten corner of the internet haunted by deranged weirdos.
>so that I could release pdfs of rpg content for slight profit
The indie RPG creation scene is oversaturated and everyone except famous names is publishing at a loss.
Make a blog and keep making game stuff as a hobby. Share it here or wherever but don't make "cultivating the community" your focus.
>went to a reddit community
>it was exactly like reddit
Golly, I wonder how that could have happened...?
I dunno, I figured it would be an isolated enough niche hobby that you'd only mostly apolitical people interested in that hobby.
I was wrong. It was swiftly invaded and I was exposed to things like
>The Opossum rules of gaming
which is a guide on respecting trans people in the hobby.
What, you can't try other forums if you go on Ganker? This has never been the only site I've visited.
>Share it here or wherever but don't make "cultivating the community" your focus
Believe me, it was a hare-brained idea to start with, and after seeing what "the community" looks like I don't have much interest in doing that. I'll just do what I've always done, which is continue to make anonymous stuff or give people ideas when they ask.
>which is continue to make anonymous stuff or give people ideas when they ask.
This is the best way. Just stay anon on here. I also tried to be a part of an indie rpg community and it also went leftist-purge-orgy real fast.
>So one day .... on reddit
> a collection of homosexuals
You don't say.
frick off OP. /tg/ is for IRL friends ONLY
Based and Buddypilled
>We are all pals and we allow one another to shit with the door open
>Is this what it's like for the whole hobby?
No, that's just pozzed reddit
Bro, look up the /osrg/ thread. The discussion usually happens there.

no john, you are the homosexuals
