So, this is what people have decided as the returning ‘Mons to SV from Khu’s Dex picture/riddle. Apparently it doesn’t include new forms and Pokémon (obviously), but Pokémon who have different forms in this list will have them included. Bottom row is transfer only.
Thoughts? I’m very surprised Enamorus is in without her brothers, but kind of glad. No Inci or Lando for VGC is insane, we may see Arcanine usage?
Don't worry anon, Lando and Incineroar will be back in DLC 1.
DLC2, they won't be needed until year 2 of VGC when it opens up its ruleset.
Isn't more than half the image blacked out? The other genies could still be in. Imagine if we get a fifth one this gen to complete the set, that would be sick.
Considering they’re in Dex and Gen order and the last visible parts match with Pokémon late into each Pokédex, I don’t think that’s a factor. That said, there are weird omissions like Miltank. Also the word space between Walrein and Salamence.
Same shit just like swsh dex, but few added mons like flabebe line to frick off. I hate this, because i know charizard, all eevies, gyarados, toxapex and ferrothorn are in all games, after dexit, but it's really shame other cut mons doesn't get it again. It's good sign, that all hisuian are in dex, but i'll be disapointed, if typhlosion and samurott are without other starters, but this was happened with charizard
Typhlosion is the only good Johto starter anyways, so not having the others is fine.
>Even less starters than last time
What riddle/image is this referring too?
>Meganium and Feraligatr deserve to be in more than CHARIZARD
Khu.
Also, SwSh launched with three starter trios, with Alola and Kanto (sans Charizard) being transfer only. These were made available in-game in Isle.
SV has Kalos and Hisui (+ their original forms) and Charizard. This isn’t including either of the new starter trios. It literally has one more starter
when did he post this particular clue, i didn't see it on his twitter.
I dunno, there’s a decent number of ‘Mons who werent in SWSH. A lot of the earlier Gen ones were in BDSP, but that game had everything from Gen 4 and before. For the Hisuian starters, the difference is that in SWSH is Bulba and Squirtle were transferable.
Seeing as we got those two in Isle and Hoenn starters in Tundra, we could get the rest of those trios in DLC?
If this is accurate:
>Interesting note: each weather has a setter - Ninetales, Pelipper, Tyranitar, and Abomasnow
Kanto - 46/151 Pokémon (+1 transfer)
Johto - 36 or* 37/100 Pokémon (+3 transfer)
Hoenn - 28/135 Pokémon (+1 transfer)
Sinnoh - 28 or** 29/107 Pokémon
Unova - 27/156 Pokémon (+4 transfer)
Kalos - 20/72 Pokémon (+10 transfer)
Alola - 14-16***/86 Pokémon (+3 transfer)
Galar/Hisui - 29 or 30****/96 Pokémon (+1 transfer)
>*Assuming Sunflora rather than Yanmega
>**Assuming Yanmega rather than Sunflora
>***Depends on Bruxish/Golisopod and Palossand/Mimikyu
>****Depends on Alcremie/Grimmsnarl
I actually forgot Bonsly, Sylveon, and Eevee, so that’s +1 for those regions
For this one, I’m only including Pokémon that are fully evolved. Cross-gens usurp their prevos, but regional form cross-gens don’t.
>Kanto: 22 fully evolved Mons +1 Transfer
>Johto: 17/18 fully evolved +1 transfer
>Hoenn: 14 fully evolved +1 transfer
>Sinnoh: 16/17 fully evolved
>Unova: 14 fully evolved +2 transfer
>Kalos: 10 fully evolved + 4 transfer
>Alola: 9 fully evolved + 1 transfer
>Galar/Hisui: 19 fully evolved +1 transfer
Where is Bewear? He is my main bro, I can't play without him
What did you do the 6 gens without him
>Gen 8 launched with 40% of the old Pokémon catchable
>Gen 9 launches with less than 30% of the old Pokémon catchable
Wouldn't expect anything else from gamefreak.
>Could mean more new Pokémon
I’ll take it
>Wobbuffet cut
As if you need confirmation that Team Rocket is retiring (if not already retired)
Wobbuffet wasn't in SM nor SM
I'm surprised you guys aren't seething so much over Charizard yet lmao
Because GF fricking sucks and we all already know they were going to shoehorn him in anyway. Also there was a leak before this one anyway with him
Why do they have to waste Dex space on Tyranitar or Garchomp in every game?
Because everyone liked using these two in competitive before. Salamance because of broken mega, but is in SV too. I wonder why is dragonite. Maybe this time it will get new form. Every pseudos got something, but dragonite got nothing yet
>no tyrantrum
>no aurorus
>no archeops
>no torterra
>no cramorant
>no feraligatr
>no meganium
Game Freak is full of wienersuckers FRICK these shit games.
None of those are worth including. Deal with it.
Frick off with the bias toward popular Pokemon you sheep.
Brainlet here. What am I looking at here? I guess if Golisopod is in, then I have no complaints, but what is this image supposed to imply?
Its a version exclusive
They couldn’t tell wether it’s Golisopod or Bruxish. The image depicts all the old Pokémon returning in SV, not including forms. Khu leaked it with just the type colours to work off of.
The three unknowns are Sunflora or Yanmega, Mimikyu or Palossand, and Bruxish or Golisopod
So the 9th row is HOME transfers only, which means that all the new PLA mons except Enamorus are natively obtainable. Based if true, I was a bit worried they might make them all transfer only since we haven't seen any pre-evolutions like Teddiursa yet.
In the case of Overquil and Sneasler I assume there will be an in-game trade for the Hisui forms like they did in SWSH for Cogayrigus. Same for Basculegion if it doesn't get a new form for red/blue Basculins.
The forms might be transfer only, with the originals just being in the Dex. All of them being native makes me think we’ll be able to obtain the Hisuians but I’m not 100% sure on that.
>charizard again
Bros? I thought they already culled Masuda from the franchise? What is this overgrown lizard doing in ScaVio?
Pour one out for Serperior, Emboar, Watchog, Simipour, Simisage, Simisear, Zebstrika, Alomomola, Leavanny, Swanna, Eelektross, Meloetta, Pyroar, Furfrou, Vivillon, Oricorio, Toucannon, Gumshoos, Komala and Minior.
Apparently this doesn’t include new forms, so if any of those get a regional variant they could still get in.
For comparison, Sawsbuck, Florges, Gogoat, Bruxish and Crabominable are the only Pokémon who skipped gen 8 entirely who can be caught in the first game of Gen 9.
Chesnaught, Delphox, Greninja and Hoopa are transfer only.
>I won't be able to have my dancing duo
It hurts
>Charizard and Waifushit takes precedence above all else
This genuinely really fricking sucks. Awful.
Waifumons should always take precedence. Cope.
>Another game where none of my faves are available
Wake me the frick up
Scummy shitass game freak. No excuse for this dexit bullshit.
Meloetta isnt in the transferable so good news to those who want one she should be catchable in SV they wouldn't go over 3 years and 3 games without cycling everything once... right?
Who i am i kidding yes they fricking would.
God please no more Dragapult. I'm sick of its broken speed stat.
I hope you all are excited for your $25 mon expansion pass to add Blastoise back in 🙂
The actual dex expansion was free though
I feel like GF really should prioritize getting starters in more than they are, even if they're mostly just transfer-only. They're some of the most prominent Pokemon of every region and probably the ones people feel the most sentimental for.
I mostly just wanted Greninja and Charizard, so it's really not a huge deal to me personally, but not having the Sinnoh starters with BDSP/Legends also on the Switch seems like an odd call to me.
I'm gonna KyoAni TPC building if Garchomp is not in.
