Yeah, no shit. If they made a game about music based combat but had something more palattable and less grating and cringey like some trip hop or ambient electronica or something without lyrics or gay guitar shit it'd have done much better.

The frickers at bethesda/xbox had the gall to market redfall knowing it was a complete piece of shit and gave hi fi rush(an actual good game) 0 advertisement, it's a real shame. At least I'm glad it managed to win an award after all.
Hype kills certain games anon, HiFi rush would've been criticizied a whole lot more and analyzed why it's shit down to every detailed metric if Microsoft decided to give it any version of a spotlight
I think Microsoft is shit, and everything they do is shit, but the two best games from them I've played with the best overall discourse and discussion in the last 5 years or more has been Hi-Fi Rush and Pentiment. I think if Microsoft gave it any more attention than game pass titles they'd have been less praised in the ire of the public eye.
