>old world fans waited almost a decade for this
at least recasters will get their hands back on some of the old kits now that theyre dropping them again
I don’t hate this, besides I’m glad they still make weird and risky mode designs would you rather have hundreds of more generic vanilla primaris marines for all time?
Don’t discourage gw taking risks because next time it might be something you think is cool. Besides Mechanicus have always supposed to have been weird anyway.
Personally my only problem is it being a unit. It feels like the aesthetics of it are of a weird thing in the background of a Blanche-esque art piece, it's not something I can easily imagine a number of on a battlefield. It feels more like a guard/watchtower concept, rather than a sniper. But that's just me.
>would you rather have hundreds of more generic vanilla primaris marines for all time?
I'd rather have no Primaris and Admech models at all at this point tbqhwyfamalam
I'm getting a bit annoyed at the format of these as they've turned entirely predictable. "Here's previews for the next 60 days or so!" Blah blah blah videos. Wished we had some longer term previews or hints.
At least that fat, bald host wasn't shitting this one up.
Not the world we live in anymore, Anon. Look at VG, we used to have E3 n stuff to hype us for upcoming releases. Now we got... Oh new CoD is coming, new Soulborn, drip drip drip.
Used to book time off work for E3 as it was a propper exciting event.
there's also the rest of the armour, the mace, reliquary, being from the space marine faction of aos...

It isn't even the 1st end of edition special box with Anvils as the colour sheme
I'm talking about his new colour shem colour sheme, because trying to claim that a SCE character from 2015, literaly the 1st box released for the game, is somehow a rip off of a Primaris dude that wasn't even a thing until years later is just too moronic to consider it an argument

mate you're rapidly approaching almost complete incoherence
>Oh cool, Ossiarch bonelords finally getting a centerpiece that's not a foot slogger
And then realize it's yet another stormhomosexualry that is 80% of age of smegmar releases which are more prevalent than space marine releases.
AoS doesn't nearly have the same design baggage that fantasy and 40k have so designers are much more free to go nuts
GW suits were directly involved in AoS' creation 10 years ago they are desperate for this shit to work out. It's why TOW has been slow rolled in hopes that TWW fricking dies and they can shelve it, so that AoS doesn't have in-company competition (which makes no sense because the mudcore of fantasy has nothing to do with the high fantasy of AoS anymore, it's like thinking Riftworld and Age of Conan are competitors).
Whats especially weird is how AoS doesn't have a Total War equivalent to bring in new people, it'd be different if there was Age of Empires (Sigmar edition) but there isn't, how the hell are they even advertising it nowadays?
It doesn't have any games except realms of ruin because there is no lore or meaningful shit to base them on >BUT THERE IS LORE REEE
No one cares about shit like the necroquake or kragnos or other shit like that, it's literally just actual unironic 'fluff' and not in the 'here's a book about this autistic thing' but 'here's one line about this thing now get excited for the new product we're rolling out and then forgetting once we move on to the next release". AoS is not a good IP farm because there is almost no IP to farm, it's completely barebones and not in a good way. You can't just constantly 'advance the timeline', you need actual meaningful events that actually mean something.
anon, lore does not equal lore. The half-assed corpo blurb shit in AoS does not hold a candle to either 40k or Fantasy, so any attempt to make a video game is doomed to fail
yea because 40k got alot of those, Tell me wich character die? horus heresy lore dosent count since all of that happen when the game launch. The only one I can recal was that Yarick dude that was killed offscreens since it does not actualy matter
And cadia does not count since...well everyting is still the same and the guards that survive are still running arround yelling cadia stands kek
Writers and designers wanted to work on a new setting as well, they specifically asked for AOS to happen
They had no fun working on the old setting (cramped, static, very limited in many ways)
Literally in the article as well as the stream they mention Necrons are getting more models. As for AdMech…well…we know how well that went
HAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAH
Normally I wouldn't be surprised a GW stream was underwhelming but in this case holy shit why did they do a 40 (forty) week countdown for such mediocre reveals?
why did AdMech, the faction that sorely needs their 30k stuff or at least equivalents, only get Mr. extendo-legs while Necrons, who got a gigantic refresh last edition, were mentioned to be getting multiple new units?
I will never stop seething, James Workshop must pay for his crimes against the AdMech aesthetic.
You know it's bad when random people are making sketches that are 300% better than the base model less than a day after it being revealed.
You are correct in assuming there is a unified verdict, as we all know that /tg/ is a hivemind. However, the fact that you do not know the verdict means you are not part of the hivemind. You're never gonna be one of us Dylan, get over it.
Love the new scrops I look forward to the day when all of our models are updated and gw will have to give us new models. Kind would like some medic aspect. Or more wraith units.
I’m looking forward to the updated Swooping Hawks and Warp Spiders. Hawks just look so old (the helmets really show their age) and Warp Spiders are bulky. With injection molding, I’d imagine they could look really slick. I want to pose them.
40 years of warhammer for a oink pack full of chinese shit you can get on aliexpress, and a "warhammer day" with the usual monthly shit that's announced that could've been spread out over 2 weeks and nobody would be any wiser. This is the current state of GW and every 40k player accepts it.
For the 40th anniversary of Warhammer, it was an extremely mediocre reveal stream. There was nothing special about the previews. I will say they at least met my bare minimum expectations by setting a soft launch date for TOW, but that's it. 2/10.
Also, is it just me that finds it odd that they're re-releasing the original Rogue Trader book when that's not the game that's having its 40th anniversary? It's only 36 years old at this point. Shouldn't it be the original edition of Fantasy that they're re-releasing? Or if they wanted to include other books, why not do all the iconic ones from throughout the ages? Rogue Trader, Gorkamorka, Mordheim, Battlefleet: Gothic, etc.

Ionus had me propper Jawdropped, very excited for this model!
nice space marine chaplain
>hurr hurr look i'm repeating the joke that's already been repeated ad nauseum
Maybe GW should stop making chaplain-ass looking sigmarines.

This is the first stormcast model we've gotten for the main game since 2021.
Why would a Bonereaper be on a Draconith you drooling moron?
newbie here, why do AoS models look so much better than 40k? I like the settings and armies of 40k but the models in AoS look so much prettier.
AoS doesn't nearly have the same design baggage that fantasy and 40k have so designers are much more free to go nuts
Is there as significant portion of people who don't play AoS and just buy and paint the models for display?
You're describing 90% of people who buy miniatures period.
Yo, never played a game of AoS but I have Sylvaneth and Squig-themed Gobbos.
That's unironically GW's biggest market. Kirby was right in that regard

Pretty sure they’re coming out with a rts next month
Writers and designers wanted to work on a new setting as well, they specifically asked for AOS to happen
They had no fun working on the old setting (cramped, static, very limited in many ways)
That only shows how moronic and useless they were.
well, what happened to AoS showed why that was a bad idea and proved once again that only limitation can truly breed creativity
The state of fantasy and 40K both disagree with that idea.
both being in perpetual decline since 2020?
When can i order my kill team box (smaller than before but same price, terrain sold separately)
Stop giving GW Money/10
Paypig sludge
The new Bretonnia minis raped my childhood.
I don't like them either but now you just sound like a starslopper.
He won
>40k got two books and two pity hero's
Worth it just for that.
What made me laugh is that WHC promised each Codex release wouldn't just have a token hero model but additional new units. GW would never lie.
tbf they did briefly mention on the stream that necrons will get more models
Literally in the article as well as the stream they mention Necrons are getting more models. As for AdMech…well…we know how well that went
HAHAHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAH
One of their worst previews ever, especially considering that they hyped this one up as something special.
Normally I wouldn't be surprised a GW stream was underwhelming but in this case holy shit why did they do a 40 (forty) week countdown for such mediocre reveals?
Digits of truth
I can’t remember the last time I got hyped for a reveal.
why did AdMech, the faction that sorely needs their 30k stuff or at least equivalents, only get Mr. extendo-legs while Necrons, who got a gigantic refresh last edition, were mentioned to be getting multiple new units?
how have to accept the 30k stuff is never coming to 40k bro, it's been "years
I will never stop seething, James Workshop must pay for his crimes against the AdMech aesthetic.
You know it's bad when random people are making sketches that are 300% better than the base model less than a day after it being revealed.
Must suck to be you
Isn't 30k stuff literal satanic stuff to them?
They're deleting the resin remnant of the necron.
Moving one army at a time.

shit pose.
no one infiltrate, no one fight, no one run.
They were done by a fucing beginner with bad choice of rigs.
A solid C- .
Poor sigpiggie got his feelings hurt
Warhammer Fantasy proved once more it's superiority
Enjoy your resin
they only showed off one new resin model anon the other new models were all plastic some of which were leaked earlier so we know it is not a lie)
and did you miss the part where a good chunk of the old metals are being retooled for FW resin with FW prices?
>there will also be a selection of returning metal heroes and specialist units that will be available to order direct from james-workshop ltd
Gotrek when Felix or something Idk I haven't read the books
I'd rather choke down cancerous resin dust by the cup than have to build one shitty, overdesigned, flimsy Age of Sigmar mini.
It made me want to join Hamas.
Incredibly dissapointed with admech. I guess I'll be an old man by the time we get new kits. The old world stuff was cool. That's all.
What was announced for kill team?
Space marine scouts vs striking scorpions
40 years of warhammer for a oink pack full of chinese shit you can get on aliexpress, and a "warhammer day" with the usual monthly shit that's announced that could've been spread out over 2 weeks and nobody would be any wiser. This is the current state of GW and every 40k player accepts it.
>So what is the verdict?
For the 40 Year Anniversary of the company was limp as frick. It was no more special than any other event stream.
40 Year Anniversary of the game. GW has been in business a while longer at first they only made normie board games.
For the 40th anniversary of Warhammer, it was an extremely mediocre reveal stream. There was nothing special about the previews. I will say they at least met my bare minimum expectations by setting a soft launch date for TOW, but that's it. 2/10.
