So what WAS this guy supposed to be?

No really it's been like 15 years and I still don't know what he represents.

    >Uboa is a representaion of Mado's dysphoria and sexual insecurities and opression by the male fantasy and also she is a pshychopath murderer... lesbian

      Dysphoria is a meme.

Dysphoria is feeling awful. Getting sick, injured, or poisoned is typically dysphoric.

No, I think we know which dysphoria you meant.

I have never ever seen someone mention this, but Monoe and Monoko directly parallel both Uboa and the monster in the background after he teleports you. And that area itself is a parallel to the area you find them.

Imagine you're a social outcast who decided to live in Bumfrick, Nowhere. One day this little girl shows up out of nowhere in your house and starts fricking around with the lightswitch, so you pull a spooky mask to try spooking her into never visiting you again, but then she punches you in the face.
I'd say that trapping her in a bizarre dimension of infinite pain and suffering is perfectly reasonable.

Isnt that crazy? They just made this game and then dropped off the face of the earth.
Not even dead since they have been consulted on other projects

When I first saw Uboa I thought it was a woman, you know like a japanese ghost with the pale face and long hair. When did it become common sense that he's a guy?

Most nerds and gamers are male and most people of any kind seem to default-assume ambiguous humanoids to be their own kind until proven otherwise (e.g. stick figures' perceived sex or anime characters' perceived race)

My headcanon is that Yume Nikki isn't about Madotsuki's dreams but her exploring other people's. The nexus represents the gateway to other dream worlds and some of the npcs are dream world counterparts of the people currently asleep. Poniko is one of them and Uboa would represent someone she knows.
