Idk I didn't play it. I'm waiting for the next 3D Mario because that's all that really matters. 2D Mario is just filler these days. This one does seem to have a bit more effort pumped into than past however many 2D Mario games Nintendo have thrown out, but I still don't care for it. >inb4 "2D Mario is important actually"
It could be if they didn't make the same game every time.
>48 levels in wonder
where are you getting this number? Im only or world 2 but world 1 had 12 regular stages not counting the single wonder seed challenge stages. You havent played the game and are just assuming 8 stages for the 9 worlds
It's 2D Odyssey in both good and bad ways. The discovery aspect is there but things like badges and an overall piss easy difficulty bring it down quite a bit.
Are there courses that you have to revisit with later badges to complete them 100%?
Also, how is it that I can get everything in the course and not get the green checkmark? Does that mean there's a hidden exit?
It's not fun getting in and out of levels. I feel like they could have shortened some animations and made the world map smaller for a more compact experience. The game itself is fine but anyone who claims it isn't a literal reskin of NSMB is actually on drugs.
It's probably the best 2D Mario since Super Mario Bros 3. It's not really going against strong competition but in a way it feels like they translated a bit of the exploration and novel interactions of 3D Mario and put them into a 2D game. The levels aren't particularly hard but that was never the case after people learned basic platforming skills in the early 2000s.
It's probably the only 2D Mario game I'd ever recommend non-mario fans to play.
The 4 and 5 star levels are fun. Badges are cool. It's stylized but I think they actually could've pushed it a lot farther. Music doesn't feel distinct.
Pretty fun but too easy outside of the special stages and a few challenge levels, worlds 3 and 5 are a bit of a letdown with no boss or palace, and wonder gimmicks being reused across a couple levels instead of being entirely unique, other than that it's great, much better than the NSMB games and there's a lot of new enemies that are super creative and fun go up against, visuals and audio are brimming with sovl
>too easy outside of the special stages and a few challenge levels
So you're saying it's a Mario game? Even as far back as Mario 3 the only really challenging stages were in the final world and Super Mario World solidified the whole, "easy game with hard secret challenge levels" theme that's been in every Mario game since.
The extra animations feel slow. I don't like the little hopping into the pipe animation. Just walk in like it always used to be. I don't like seeing Mario's hat fall off and he has to go and grab it before going into the pipe. It makes things feel slower.
A game designed for casuals. It offers nothing to someone who has played a platformer before. If it wasn't Mario it would be getting massacred and 50/60 scores.
I know nothing about that game and don't play AAA garbage. The last spider man game I played was Spider Man 1 on PS1.
Don't bring up irrelevant things to deflect from this insultingly basic game that insults your intelligence at every turn and is literally designed for someone who has never played a video game before.

48 levels in wonder compared to 80 in nsmbu
levels are shorter and easier than in nsmbu too
I didn't know it had less levels, like I said I haven't played it but Mario looks like he has more to his move set.
>48 levels in wonder

wait till you get to worlds 3 and 5
*3D Mario world
>first words of first post of a thread about a game are “idk I didn’t play it.”
Never change Ganker.
I gave reasoning as to why I'm not playing it, at least.
We've had a new 3d Mario game since the last 2d Mario game. It's time for a new 2d one numbskull then a 3d one.
That's why I said I'm waiting.
It's no Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
Forgettable experience despite trying to be anything but
It's 2D Odyssey in both good and bad ways. The discovery aspect is there but things like badges and an overall piss easy difficulty bring it down quite a bit.
mario if he wonder
boring/10
I thought it was 83 levels?
Its like the Kirby games, too ez, turn your brain off and go into autopilot while listening to some podcast

>Also, how is it that I can get everything in the course and not get the green checkmark? Does that mean there's a hidden exit?
yes
He was right.
It's just New Super Mario Bros 6
good, but the music is weak
and the final boss is a bit meh
7.5/10

It's better than the nsmb shit post DS
The elephant-ing of level music is terrible tho

It's objectively the best 2d Mario game since the 90's. Anyone saying different is biased or hasn't played it.
EXTREMELY low bar
It's also better than any indie Westoid troony platformer too.
im biased and i have played it
nsmbu is better
Hi Miyamoto. Mandate brothers isn't better.

it's much easier than any classic mario
>so what's the Gankererdict?
No idea. It doesn't come out until tomorrow, moron.
The extra animations feel slow. I don't like the little hopping into the pipe animation. Just walk in like it always used to be. I don't like seeing Mario's hat fall off and he has to go and grab it before going into the pipe. It makes things feel slower.
If you emulated this game on your reddit PC machine you're pretty fricking cringe.
A game designed for casuals. It offers nothing to someone who has played a platformer before. If it wasn't Mario it would be getting massacred and 50/60 scores.
Spider-Man rightfully fricking lost. Get woke go shit.
I know nothing about that game and don't play AAA garbage. The last spider man game I played was Spider Man 1 on PS1.

Again, this game is better than any indie troony shit platformers as well. If you're gonna a play a new platformer in 2023. This is the one.
