There isn't one which is pretty lame. Despite being a series about monsters literally fighting one another for sport, Gamefreak does literally everything in its power to make sure the world itself is as safe, unedgy, and rounded as possible for some vague notion of being "family friendly". I don't even know where this thought process came from since Pokemon aired in the US alongside shows like Yugioh and DBZ and those were considered very much for children despite the death that occurred. Does anything BAD ever even fricking happen in this world? Its just hard to really like this world or be endeared to it. Everyone is always happy and everyone's problems are super surface level and will be resolved once they get slammed in a pokemon battle. How is this game considered one of the better written games in the franchise?
