the only thing i learned from dragonflight was that resubbing and giving retail another chance was a mistake, retail wow is miserable if you dont give a frick about pvp and m+ is one of the shittiest gamemodes ive ever dealt with and convinced me the only reason people still play wow is because of genuine stockholm syndrome.
M+ is trash but the entire game revolves around it now. The old audience left and it was replaced by a much smaller esports audience that loves M+. If anyone is expecting to come back to a familiar game from 10 years ago, they're going to be very disappointed

It's the minmaxing esports speedrunning culture that came with M+, it's cancerous and seeps into every other mode in the game. You get screamed at in levelling dungeons now for not doing M+ routes. Blizzard fueled it with MDI and every zoomer tries to imitate it now. If you didn't play prior to M+, you wouldn't understand

A lot of people have fun mythic raiding and doing m+ with their friends. You shouldnt pug high M+ keys or Mythic raids.

There is a big chance of 10.3 happening but without a new raid like Shadowlands. We're gonna get a "fated" season which is a filler season to give the devs time to develop the new expansion.
They did a good job on the mounts, mogs, cheevos part I guess but thats about it. Story sucked, troony shit sucked, all end game content is still a failed e-sport catering to america where e-sports have fallen off the map.
Never do any kind of hard content with a bunch of randoms. MMORPG's were always full of toxic players, thats not exclusive to WOW or other modern Games, Classic wow 40-man raiding used to be a nightmare because you had to gather 40+ competent people to raid and babysit them to prevent any drama from destroying the whole group.
Dealing with people is annoying, especially when they're a bunch of randoms who have no emotional attachment to each other, if you dont enjoy dealing with the social aspect of MMO games, you should either play only with your friends or go play something else.
There used to be a good amount of 'midcore' content like normal 10 man raiding, which wasn't terribly hard, but was still fun and social. Most of that is dead now with boosting culture so prevalent, gearing making normal raiding irrelevant and toxicity from M+ driving most mentally normal people to other games.

10-man raiding was harder than 25-man raiding in a lot of raid tiers. 10-man raiding was easier to manage because you needed less people, so it was easier to gather 12~13 mentally stable and competent players to raid.
As i said : The problem is that dealing with real people is a pain in the ass, the less people you have to deal with, the better.
10 was great but the mode is totally dead now, they don’t even balance it properly so it’s way harder than 14 for no reason

Heroic and m+ are the midcore
there’s no reason to do heroic, you can get better gear in a weekend of m+ than months of doing heroic
raiding in general has been on life support for years now because what's the point when M+ exists
And m+ is still midcore
I wouldnt count heroic as midcore anymore, its fully casual. Mythic raiding can be midcore, semi-hardcore and hardcore depending of the objectives/focus of your group.
