Both are probably about the same. Duckstation, Mednafen and the PSX Mister core are all extremely robust and highly compatible emulators and the only inaccuracies are likely to be found in a transparency effect in some majong game. PS1 emulators are at their endgame now and any option out of those big three will be great. With that said Mister will have the lowest input and audio latency provides you have the right setup. The only people splitting hairs over this stuff are troon devs having discord dramas that shouldn't concern any sane person.

This, but what about extras? New textures? Mods? Flying pixels because psx was too cheap to work with floating point?

If you want lots of extras and modern enhancements, then Duckstation is for you.

Who gives a shit, you would never be able to tell the difference anyways even side by side. You "muh cycle-accurate!!" gays need to kys already

      this
Paying $300+ for an emulator for no reason other than "muh cycle accurate" is legitimate mental illness

        How much was your PC?

A PC is a PC, not an emulator
I can do anything with a PC
you can't do anything with a $300 emulator

I can emulate thousands of games and display them directly on my CRT at their native resolution without ever touching a software emulator or messing with unholy video configurations.

sounds like you being technologically illiterate if you can't setup a simple program in less than 5 minutes

Do you have your emulator PC's video output running into a 240p CRT?

You can really easily. Retroarch even has a 15khz mode

i hate using retroarch but playing with it is better then buying a meme hardware that does nothing, buy the original hardware if you want accuration instead of an overpriced meme emulation box

It's pretty much the same thing. The only real difference is whether you want to pay money or not.

Afaik FPGA is as close as you can get to the original if not better, but it's only really worth it for playing on a CRT, which are usually smaller and (imho) inferior to playing on a standard HDTV. So in a way you're just paying more for less
