It actually is partly fun. I agree that setting the industry can be mostly addictive, but building a tank and creating an assembly line to repair and load it with ammo, and an automated gate to jump in the tank and leave your fortress to hunt at a moment's notice is fun. Likewise making automated blueprints and setting a base perimeter. Trains are also pretty fun in the traditional sense.
Still, i personally i think mods changing the combat and focusing more on making the biter threat the focus of play makes it a better game.

I've never played a game like factorio before but I've heard it's a fun time waster. Should I give it a shot or are there better alternatives for beginners?
Play Rimworld instead, it’s not totally the same but a much comfier waste of time. Factorio is more like anxiety simulator inside a box with an ugly artstyle.
>claims Factorio has ugly artstyle >suggests Rimworld instead
Bro, I get it that that artstyle is somewhat subjective, but come on, Factorio is way prettier
It looks like a low-poly muddy StarCraft in the worst way possible. I’m not a fan of the Rayman style characters in Rimworld either but at least the colors look nice and doesn’t totally wash out when a lot of action is happening.
Oh yeah I remember this game. It's on sale too, thanks for reminding me.
It’s a great value game, was for me anyway. Hundreds of hours racked up easily. Just don’t buy the DLCs, they’re glorified mods. You can also pirate them into your paid steam version very easily.
>When the frick are we getting news on the expansion?
When it's done probably. Not sure what exactly they're adding but apparently it involves new ayys so I'm guessing a combat overhaul. Maybe this time we'll get trains that can fight.
The lack of communication is so fricking annoying, especially considering how open the devs were about the entire development process during early access.
The train signals alone need about 5000 hours to master.
Can you beat pY mods with ease yet?
Have you even started to use fractals to arrange your layouts?
Does a lifetime even provide enough hours to master everything in this game?
Yes yes, this is extremely fun game.
... and? do you read guides before finishing a game like a little pleb?

>just answer the exam incorrectly because studying is for plebs lol!!!

>implying every developer should make a game that fits your "idea" of fun

What's the solution then?
just make spaghetti until you research drones
Wow very organic marketing for Ludeon Studios' Rimworld ™
seethe, troontorio dev
games not even competing in the same genres and still shit flingers don't even have the self-control from chimping out
At least Rimbasedchadworld isn't solved garbage
When the frick are we getting news on the expansion?
Is it vaporware?
It's a finished game, vaporware refers to unfinished abandoned software.
