what's there to explain. it's third person shooter. you go around killing things in third person
basicaly SCP but made by big devs, not some indie shit, also RTX looks good
>Remedy
>Is it kino
First day, huh
it's good, jukebox dlc is meh and alan wake dlc is too short
I played it recently, honestly really loved the entire concept, combat and game play. Got it super cheap, definitely recommended. I hope the lore and world is explored and can be explored in game more I’m the next one
>I hope the lore and world is explored
Every Remedy game is canon to each other and Alan Wake 2 is the next one
Haven’t heard about it. But I mean control 2 which is in the works
There's also a Control co-op shooter announced
>co-op
homie please. That will end up like Wolfenstein young blood. Name me one good co-op game that has good in depth story, world, voice acting, great gameplay. Multiplayer often has hollow feeling gameplay, lacking “weight”.
>Name me one good co-op game that has good in depth story, world, voice acting, great gameplay
Left 4 Dead
Okay name three more b***h.
Vermintide
Deep Rock Galactic
Killing Floor
those games have no story
It's pretty fricking kino. Especially if you love scp, in which case, take your time reading the extra collectibles.
i found it kinda mid, but i can see why some people really gush about it
> mid
fr fr lowkey mid no cap ong
It just ends abruptly, without any explaination. Frick this hawkingesque shit.
didn't mind this because I just rolled on into the dlc
SCP TPS, that's all it is, regardless of the shitters I actually liked it
I played it a while back and made it past the first(?) boss and the game felt like it was going to turn into one of my biggest pet peeves in gaming.
You'll have a set of enemies for each power that the only way to defeat them is to use that said power. The whole game just turns into see an enemy and press the correct key for it.
I get what you're saying but it didn't bother me because the combat felt challenging despite that. It's kind of like how in Doom Eternal there were objectively best ways to deal with some demons.
A lot of the replies in this have really surprised me, because every other Control thread I've seen boiled down to:
>You won't have a boner the whole time you're playing because the protagonist is square-jawed and in her 30s so it's a bad game.
Protag's a random bumfrick and everyone posts that one single picture to make a "point"
I went in expecting it to be not that great. Turned out it was pretty kino with a crazy plot about dimensional experimentation gone horribly wrong.
It's a good game with many flaws.
The lore and atmosphere is just too great for me.
I wanted to love it. I like Remedy, I like the setting, the combat is fun enough and the art direction is cool. But the main character is so annoying I didn't bother finishing it.
The whole game is just another Alan book and you can't prove otherwise.
Same goes for Quantum Break.
It's like a 7 out of 10
The general concept and setting are amazing, extremely creative and interesting.
The little lore things you find are great and feel like reading SCPs, but unfortunately they left too much of this stuff as background lore.
This is essentially all that's great about the game.

The actual main plot kinda sucks. At least there are some more interesting sidequests.
The gameplay is nothing to write home about. You shoot people and use powers. There isnt a ton of variety, the gameplay feels like something you've already played a million times before. Its vaguely fun but can also be frustrating.
The whole inventory/economy system is fricking awful, like easily the worst part of the game. You get little mods as pickup every few seconds and have to clear them out of your inventory over and over and over
Extremely overrated due to lack of good games in general, the protagonist and the supporting characters are trash diversity hires. The story is abysmal and every enemy has a number above their head completely ruining the immersion. You will be spending most of the game looting and changing the +5 to this and that on your guns.
