Sonic fights them and obtains their respect, and Sonic’s friends are barely able to handle the corruption and go “How did Sonic do this this is too much for me… but I will do it because Sonic believes in me!” and then the final boss has Sonic enter a new form thanks to his training + The End. Sage survives this time
