P5R was definitely one of those never ever titles for me, I finally broke down at the beginning of this year to buy a PS4 to play it and Bloodborne. I've already long since beaten both games and really enjoyed both, but Atlus could have given me a bit more of a warning. Whatever I suppose, prices for gaming stuff is so fricked right now I should easily get back what I spent selling my PS4. Now if we could just get a Bloodborne port, there really would legitimately be no reason to own a Playstation right now.

The shitty implementation of BC really bites Sony in the ass in the long run. They though PS4 will phase out quickly and people won't care. Anyone who wants to make a PS4/5 game needs to certificate the game twice as two different releases. Meanwhile on Xbox they just flag the code for X|S only and the system automatically installs the proper version. While I don't think Atlus will go crazy over next gen updates, the Series versions will still run and look better.
At the very least, the Series versions will have better load times because they are designed from the ground up to run off an SDD. PS4 versions of games running on PS5 never have load times as good as native PS5 apps. These games will be forever gimped to run on PS4.

Sony has the only single player game (GT7) currently you can't play without an internet connection. You can play Xbox games offline if you validated them. You can never play GT7 offline. While I don't approve their current method, Xbox Live will be up far longer than the GT7 servers.
I agree, what they did with GT7 was an abomination. Thankfully it's the only game that seems to have that problem across the whole PS5 first party library (I don't really know of any third party games that do it either, excepting online only games). The rest of the games load right off the disc with no internet connection required. Usually they are fully functional at v.1.00 without any patches too.
That contrasts to literally any Xbox "Smart Delivery" game you buy physically. It will only have the Xbox One version on disc. It won't install or run the XSX version until you authenticate with Big Brother Microsoft's servers. Anyone buying "physical" Xbox games for their series X is basically getting scammed. And the digital games are no better, since you will be totally unable to play them in the case of a server outage (which has ALREADY happened lol).

As Digitalfoundry said this only effects the smart delivery games. SeX only games install fine offline. Smart delivery only has pros aside from this. The server outages never affected me and I play 50 hours a week on my Xbox. Sucks of course, hopefully MS does something with it.
