Goldeneye has been the only game since then to release with Microsoft involvement on the Switch. If the alliace was truly intact, the Switch would've gotten a lot more indie games that Microsoft stuck marketing deals with that the Switch would've gotten sooner like Tunic and Death's Door. It was proven that many games that were coming to all platforms like pc, xbox and playstation got their PS Version canceled right after the acquisition meaning these games are actually reaching less players after Microsoft gets hold of them.
Timed execlusivity doesn't look as bad to judges because in a year or so it will be available on other platforms. For boomers waiting a year for a game isn't really a deal breaker. Having a game completely blocked from a system after promising that more gamers will have it looks worse.

So the acquisition aren't resulting in games reaching more gamers like Microsoft claims rather it prevents them from reaching a popular platform that has always had them or would have had them if not for the acquisition.

Zenimax is done and dusted, there's no more point arguing about what you can and can't do about what that company produces and going to that platform when it has already happened, you could argue the same for Sony taking away Housemarque when they were multiplatform and them having games like Outland or Nex Machina on other platforms. It's always going to be true on the matter of fact that acquisitions will take away games away from the general public from one platform unless explicitly stated. There's no reason to not believe Microsoft on their word that they won't make certain things not exclusive, they followed up with letting Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo run their exclusivity contracts.

The problem with zenimax and Activision is that both are big 3rd party publishers that generally publish their games for all platforms and they have established ips that are available on all platforms except maybe the switch. If Microsoft acquires them, nothing changes besides playstation owners not getting access to them anymore.
So the acquisition aren't resulting in games reaching more gamers like Microsoft claims rather it prevents them from reaching a popular platform that has always had them or would have had them if not for the acquisition.
Zenimax is done and dusted, there's no more point arguing about what you can and can't do about what that company produces and going to that platform when it has already happened, you could argue the same for Sony taking away Housemarque when they were multiplatform and them having games like Outland or Nex Machina on other platforms. It's always going to be true on the matter of fact that acquisitions will take away games away from the general public from one platform unless explicitly stated. There's no reason to not believe Microsoft on their word that they won't make certain things not exclusive, they followed up with letting Deathloop and Ghostwire Tokyo run their exclusivity contracts.
