Diantha is completely forgettable, I think she appears only once chatting with Lysandre for no reason and then she's the Champion. Zero personality and a very bland design.
The BW champion is way more pathetic but at least he's got a better design

She's barely an active character in D/P/BDSP, let's not do some revisionist history bs here. If you're referring to Platinum, then thats fine, but she became popular mainly from D/P not platinum.

I think you guys underestimate level difference in the damage calculation. Granted, it's not Xenoblade levels of "you simply can't hit the opponent" but it's not fricking nothing. I will say the implementation is super scuffed though, I would have liked the stats to fricking exist.

Your Pokemon will also be higher leveled so this point is utterly irrelevant

Levels play a role in damage calculation, but more importantly, the additional Pokemon, vastly improved movesets (In most cases) and the items in E4 make a much bigger difference than that.

You can't make use of Challenge Mode from your own cart, you need to transfer it.
I did, I think most people forget or simply don't know but you could transfer the challenge mode key to other players, played white 2 in challenge mode from the beginning because a friend traded keys with me. Not trying to say the implementation isn't bad, but the original intent is to share the regi/difficult keys with friends.
This still feels pretty stupid when you remember fricking easy mode is locked behind this feature

Gardevoirite, that I'd like to reiterate, only gives a stat boost since the ability simply does nothing with that moveset (also said stat boost includes Attack which only makes said Pokemon take more damage from Confusion)

Honestly, Iris having 2 items even on fricking easy mode is impressive. I'd also like to note, the OP listed an Iris fight that isn't even the hardest one, while he listed one of two Diantha fights, and the champion battle is the hardest one. It's fricking weird that XY doesn't have a rematch with the E4 where every other game from Platinum up to USUM does. I think even Let's Go might, I dunno or care. SS has a shitty excuse for not including it since it doesn't fricking have an E4.
Z was planned, and it would have been great, but got scrapped in favor of earning x20 the money with a new shitty gen
I mean BW had it, but given BW's story choices I guess it's understandable why they'd prioritize it. Also, it was probably something like Mega X and Mega Y, and it was probably canceled because SM development was a complete mess and they had to design the island trials during the debugging phase. Between SV's weird performance issues and SS cutting Pokemon for ??? it seems Ohmori just isn't good at his job. Looping back around to my original point, in the story of SS there are minor league gyms, and there's stubbed data for battles that seem like they'd be exactly that, but they didn't make it into the final game. Basically, Ohmori is the hack we think Masuda is. And Masuda is pretty hacky in general.

I hope that one cart that they released with the DLC actually has the DLC on the cart and isn't just a fricking download code. If it's on the cart, SS is ironically in a better state than XY is, between that and LAN mode there's no reason to go online, where the only reason to play XY is online that's already better in ORAS anyway. Man I fricking love StreetPass.

I've heard conflicting reports about it, and rumors that SV won't include it on the cart which is fricking baffling considering what's happening to the 3DS right now. Like, if they'd tell me not to worry about it what the frick is wrong with them you're literally shutting down the online on the 3DS the same fricking year.
Only gets worse in SV. You can't rematch most E4, only Hassel and then the champion in the Academy Ace tournament. According to datamines, you'll be able to rematch the E4 in the clubroom thing in DLC2, but those matches only seem to be one at a time, so you won't be able to do the full 4 or 5 fights in a row to get a proper "E4 round 2". It pisses me off because despite BDSP being basically shitty DP reskins with Pokémon only up to gen 4, they had the best gym/E4 rematches I've seen.
Side note, even if the rest of the gen 10 is worse to play through than SV was on launch, I'd probably forgive it if it had BDSP style rematches that could be done as many times as I like.

Diantha's Aurorus having Hyper Voice to go with Refrigerate would've been too much for the smartphone kiddies to handle. To prevent Diantha being too difficult Game Freak fricked her Aurorus over with two 70% accuracy moves to reduce the chance of said kids going back to Gacha Life and Elsa Foot Fungus Removal on mommy's iPhone 5s that required a loan to pay for (it has a shattered screen).

XY and BW2 have two entirely different level curves, plus in XY due to the EXP share, EXP system, and additional ways the game throws EXP at you (catching) your team will be well into the 70s by the time you face the champion.
