I've played STALKERs plenty and they aren't as shitty and punishing without the Misery mod. It's actually a tryhard soulslike wrapped in a boomer shooter. Also that visibility meter? It's garbage that keeps climbing when you're directly behind an enemy. Blood West is forgettable tripe.

I had a problem with the ghosts too. You either figure out the timing for them or you don't. There's a lot to learn about the combat and the game does kick you while you're down.
Fitboy has it for free so I might go back to it at some point. Right now I just don't have the patience for deadeye enemies and rusty guns that can't hit shit.

I played it to the church and said frick off. The game is low effort and that's that. That visibility meter is a problem for a game that relies so much on stealth. Also enemies can see through walls.

also i forgot to pick up the giga homie rifle from map 1 so i have a bunch of this special ammo but no gun to use it with.
currently have the sawed off double barrel from ch1 and the really good lever action from this ch
Try to find the unique weapons. Hell, use a guide if it gets frustrating, since they sometimes melt into the scenery (brownish gun on brown box).
Those usually have way better stats and some nifty perks.
I usually use a crossbow or lever action for ranged sniping. and the double barrel when I frick up and am about to get raped by a melee enemy.
You can also make pretty powerful melee build, but I don't really have the patience to sneak after the braindead AI after a while.

i love doing non-stealth playthroughs in stealth games because they're usually quite challenging but in this game stealth is pretty much non-optional
at least early on, later on once you have enough money for the golden ammo and shitloads of healing it loses all difficulty
The whole last act feels like it was written on a napkin and half of the words were smudged.
