Are there any soul/soulless examples like this where it directly impacts level aesthetics? Not just colors and atmosphere, but the way the level is actually supposed to look?

The ultimate example of soul/soulless. If you still don't believe in it after seeing this then I don't know what to tell you.
Nothing about that is "nonsensical" though. The point of the OP is that the platforms are supposed to be hills/trees that you can jump on but were changed to random platforms.
Your picture is just Mario's various colors removed. It doesn't have any significant impact on that game.
If censoring the awesome green fireball doesn't matter then why did they do it? have a nice day censorgay.
I never argued for or against it. I'm just saying that isn't what this thread is about.
>If censoring the awesome green fireball doesn't matter then why did they do it?
It wasn't censoring, the originals were that color due to the limitations of the NES color pallet. Once they had a wider pallet to work with there was no need to compromise.
limitations are BASED and promote finding creative solutions
You were 100% born after 1996. Only zoomergays talk like this.
that was color palette limitations of the NES, I doubt that would have been intended behavior had those limitations not existed.

Genuine moron
Frick you gays. This is the only true example of soul / soulless
Dear god that's awful. I guess they didn't even have the rights to the music for some reason? But yeah, standard 3D low effort ugliness.
Nightmare in Dreamland is SHIT
play the 3DS version of Adventure. It's way better
The art style on the right is my favorite of any kirby game.
The art style is great in general, but they still ruined the level theming.
Yeah, I can agree with that.
>Soul
>Soul
Yep, I'm thinking both are based.
This isn't censorship, this is just making all the art consistent. Yes the original has some things nice but they likely have people overseeing all art at once now to help it be consistent. Do you like it less, sure, does that make it worse in any way shape or form? No.
Majora Mask is shorter that Ocarina if you skip Bombers' Notebook sidequests. This explain why he put slow swimming in the Zora mask and the eyeballs
>conveniently leaves out that one heavily-textured room in MM3D's Stone Temple
If only that one anon's comparison albums didn't get nuked, the glowing water was about the worst it did visually but the re-release had other fundamentals problems
"SOVL" to me has always been stupid tiny shit only wheenies care about and no one has ever managed to convince me otherwise.
this and sonny 2 vs sonny 2 remaster are the top contenders
nothing comes close
wtf am i even looking at LOOOOL
S&BOX fanboy chum chum vibes
100%
I loved the first game but the art style of the sequel was so offputting I never even touched it
I actually like the weird ugly style, but I totally see why people are annoyed by the change. The original was exceedingly simple and clean.
The music by Daedalus is incredible. Especially fighting on the Clouds stage. It feels ethereal.
The definitive version of this game is the 3DS one
Harvest Moon(Bokujou Monogatari)
I absolutely despise the sanitized pieces of shit they call "remakes"
>OMG le epic lama & shit
I don't fricking care
When the original creators of your franchise stop producing the new entries, you should immediatly stop caring and consider the upcoming works as less than fanfiction with budget
They are trying to make money off our desire to "go back" but removing all that made us feel that way to begin with. All they're selling us is disappointment.
If Nintendo cared, Virtual Console-type shit they sell with Online could be so much more.
Less is more
