Cope. Royale turned a 5/10 to a 9/10.
Cope
snoys coping
It already got ported to PC and Xbox, why would snoys suddenly care about their 6 year old game getting ported to yet another console?
based
unbased
But it's just the same game with just more features no?
Royal makes the game way too easy, except when it has absolutely moronic bosses like redux Okumura that are borderline broken, unless you play on merciless which is just a poorly balanced version of hard. The new stuff is cool but it isn’t even canon in the sequel so what’s the point? The vanilla ending is perfect anyway.
Game was already easy, and Merciless is the best difficulty setting since it actually encourages using status effects and technical hits.
If you're playing any JRPG besides SaGa for the engaging and challenging combat you're a moron
I expect at the very minimum Nocturne on normal when I play a Persona game on the hardest difficulty, but P5R couldn’t even do that. It felt like any time you were about to come close to failing, you’ll get a one hit kill showtime attack or Futaba will come in with all the extra shit they gave her. Vanilla did this too but not nearly as bad.
To your point, I would add the really strong shit in 5 you got from putting in work it would usually be endgame with specific maxed social links. Like realistically on a blind playthrough you wouldn't have rank violation until you were about to go to the last dungeon.
>isn’t even canon
You morons said the same thing about Golden when Arena was out and got BTFO with Ultimax's release
>Royal makes the game way too easy
Dude its Persona you're already playing a game that's meant for morons that can't into SMT so don't even bother b***hing about difficulty lmao
There's a difference between a game being well designed but only lightly challenging and a game being horribly broken
SMT is just as easy as Persona. I struggled with the first floor of Naraku and some late stage parts in Strange Journey but other than that its been a cakewalk. They're literally the same game except one has high school simulator
With the exception of vanilla IV, most SMT games are much more stingy with the good resistances (repel/absorb/Null) and its more likely the enemy can turn the tables on you than Persona games. But I do agree the difference in difficulty is mostly overblown, your hardest Megaten game is usually your first before you understand the basics of team composition and what spells are good.
HOLY COPE HAHAHAHAHA
Mementos is better on Royal.
As someone who hasn't played royal yet, how so? How did they fixed it?
New music, new design, unique events. That's what I can say without spoilering.
Vanilla version is much better. Royal completely breaks the game, and the new narrative ruins the pacing and ending.
Came here to post this. It fricks the pacing so bad.
Played only the base version. What they did so wrong with the story and pacing in Royal?
It doesn’t effect the vanilla story at all. In fact you can still get the vanilla ending in royale. All it does is add a new segment after the final vanilla boss. Basically a “BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE” Kinda thing.
> and the new narrative ruins the pacing and ending.
Maybe If the vanilla story was worth a damn this would matter. While it feels tacked on at least royale has a engaging plot. Vanilla is just boring.
Nah, the vanilla plot is great and everything ties together thematically really well. Royal adds nothing of value, just retreads all the games events with a worse ending cinematic tacked on.
Go jerk off to your Makoto Nijima porn folder Nintendogay
cope snoy
Did Royal take away the awful transphobic moments?
It got announced for xbox so yes
Don't mind me, just collecting some salt
Played P5 on PS3 when it came out and enjoyed it, but frick me if I wanted to stay another 80 hours in front of the same story I already saw just to see some extra content.
God I wish I had that much copium to inhale
I've got it my PS3. Never needed to buy a PS4 or PS5 and I never will.
>"morgana-senpai, can you fly?"
>"but i'm a car! there is no way i... no, I HAVE TO FLY!"
Vanilla wins
> TIME TO SUMMON LE HECKIN TRICKSTER DEVIL TO DEFEAT LE NAUGHTY GOD
vs
> Persona bare knuckle fist fight
Cope. Vanilla can’t compete to pure kinography.
Cope. The final boss is yaodalbaoth and not some homosexual that write about "psience"
> literally THE single most generic JRPG god final boss
Vs
> just one determined dude who won’t give up
lol okay
>Story about a heroic youth painted as a criminal by an archcriminal masquerading as the country's savior smashing the prison trapping everyone's souls created by the demiurge masquerading as a god by summing the angel said demon cast as a devil and blowing the demiurge's brains out with a giant gun
The original final battle is perfect, didn't need this Marie-tier poochie nor his gay fist fight that has nothing to do with persona and is just trying to be the epic row row fight the power shit
>P5
Can't play Tycoon
>P5R
Can play Tycoon
Easy choice
Works on RPCS3
>poorgay Vanilla owners still seething to this day
>Ganker is unironically excited for the new pozzed translation
Already debunked eons ago
Royal would’ve been perfectly fine if they had just kept the road trip ending, but no. Fujogays just HAD to get gaykechi and SHITmire shoehorned in the ending.
It’s sad that nintendies won’t experience true kino.
You can still get the vanilla ending though
Is Persona 5 Royal worth a purchase if I already played P5 Vanilla? I'd get it on PS4 and play it on PS5.
If you planned on playing it again, it's worth a pirate, if nothing else. There's lots of new content, but P5 already had like 50-80 hours of vanilla content to go through, so don't commit unless you're in the mood to go through all that first.
yeeeeuuup. that's a cope and a half.
