I've just reached the cathedral clock tower looking place, I'm enjoying the game. Feels like an old school PS2 era game I'd get lost in for hours, and that's exactly what I'm doing. It's really good so far.
Yeah actually, dark fantasy is based and the way from does it is ludokino. Did you think that typing like a spastic 14yo would make you look like anything other than a moronic homosexual?
You know, you're right. I'd like Fromsoft to make another game where shit going to hell is relatively recent and we're actually there to see the craziest shit. I know Miyazaki loves faded splendor thematically, but some variety would be nice. The Giant memories in DS2 were neat but I want a whole game like that where things get progressively worse.
?
You're one of many of your kind in souls games, you're just more powerful than the others, not because you're the chosen one but because you're the player character
The story is meh, the combat mechanics are literally all copy pasted from various souls games, but worst of all it's barely one step above piss easy. Generous 7/10 for being the only soulslike not named Nioh that isn't complete trash
The voice acting in this game is so bad lmao. It makes the story feel so generic. There is no symbolism people just say their emotions out loud, reminds me of Japanse games
I do appreciate that the game's npc storylines aren't completely obtuse bullshit and they tell you when they update. It's probably the first time since maybe Dark Souls 1 that I actually cared about any side characters in these kinds of games.
This game was surprisingly good, I would have skipped on it had it not been for a friend gifting it to me. The performance is kinda ass in some areas even though my rig blows the frick out of the recommended specs. The gameplay was quite good, if a little too easy and the setting/visual design was very interesting, even though it was a strange mishmash of bioshock/bloodborne/shadow over insmouth/syberia. The morality system was great, how cool is it that you aren't rewarded based on how le good or le bad your actions are, but instead based on how "human" you are, killing a guy who fricked you over is considered virtuous in this game, while forgiving him means you are a weak willed homosexual, how cool is that? Killing someone out of spite or disgust being portrayed as "human"? I was also taken aback by just how many good bosses and what an absolute shitload of enemies there are in this game, most games would start spamming reused enemies, but here most special enemies only appeared once or twice. Picrel is my favourite boss.
The biggest problem with the game is that the translation was outsourced to what I can only assume to be pooland or some other shithole, there are so many ridiculous sentences in the game, with adjectives that point to nothing or nouns that are written as if describing something specific while being used to describe non-defined things, it's extremely moronic. It's a shame too, cause you can tell the dialogue was done by an entirely different and vastly more competent team, most of it is good, or at least passable.
Why do you always compare Lies of P to Bloodborne? LoP isn't Victorian-themed but draws inspiration from French Baroque. Obviously an American can't see the difference though.
>Why do you always compare Lies of P to Bloodborne?
if you have to ask, you are a braindead, nitpicking frickwit engaging in wilful ignorance and that's being kind about it.
There's no way that Dorothy is the expansion, it's gonna be the sequel. Unless it's only unlocked post-game, the assumed entrance to the DLC is going to be the Stargazer found shortly after the Cathedral.
>story is moronic
>combat mechanics can be entirely skipped/ignored
Oh no
>combat mechanics can be entirely skipped/ignored
That's not a bad thing if its optional.
denuvo is based for filtering all these shitskins
its 8/10 but yeah
If it got good level design it could be 10/10 but it doesn't.
I agree with this Anon
Solid 8/10. I had great fun with it.
I wonder how many have destroyed this twink's bussy
frick off asiatic shitter
sir this is a video game board please post video games

The blue fairy thing at the end was sickening in a good way
>an actual story
deep lore that you can completely ignore if you want >>>>> story
>deep lore that you can completely ignore if you want
EXPERIENCE THIS WORLD WHERE ALL THE COOL THINGS ALREADY HAPPENED...
THE WORLD....IS LE ALREADY DEAD..........AND YOU EXPLORE WHAT ALREADY HAPPENED.....................................IS SO.....LE DEEP.........
I am the cool thing that happens to the world
Yeah actually, dark fantasy is based and the way from does it is ludokino. Did you think that typing like a spastic 14yo would make you look like anything other than a moronic homosexual?
Congrats on being moronic, I guess

>NOOOOOOOOO I NEED TO BE THE CENTER OF MY STORY
>I NEED TO BE LE CHOSEN ONE CHANGING THE WHOLE WORLD
Ironic, because that's what you do in every souls game.
?
You're one of many of your kind in souls games, you're just more powerful than the others, not because you're the chosen one but because you're the player character
So you're the chosen one changing the world and everything revolves around you, got it.
Reads to me like you don't.
OP is a moronic asiatic shilling his mediocre ripoff but this is an equally moronic fromslopper take
Koreans spamming again. All fields.
>twink protag
No thanks
Sinos dont know how into character design.
>"BRO JOSEPH ANDERSON PRAISES THIS! SO DO I!!"
holy shit, you guys are absoulte brain dead sheeple. Think for yourself. It's an okay game.
The story is meh, the combat mechanics are literally all copy pasted from various souls games, but worst of all it's barely one step above piss easy. Generous 7/10 for being the only soulslike not named Nioh that isn't complete trash
Too easy and most of the environments looked the same.
7/10 for a decent first try.
This but 5/10 because it's just soulless and the level design is bad
It does feel really soulless. Krat never feels like a city, its just levels back to back.
I don't want to play as a catamite.

My GOTY

but with real combat mechanics
like what?
It's a chinese bloodborne

moron
>good story
Not with that godawful dialogue it's not, it's like it was done on google translate, you're overselling there moron
The dialogue is fine, it's the written stuff that's ESL.
I'm a sucker for fairy tales and Pinnocchio and The Wizard of Oz are two of my favorite books. Really curious about the Dorothy DLC/Expansion.
There's no way that Dorothy is the expansion, it's gonna be the sequel. Unless it's only unlocked post-game, the assumed entrance to the DLC is going to be the Stargazer found shortly after the Cathedral.
I'd play a cute girl souls clone
Unless Dorothy is just some NPC and you don't get to play her, which would be lame.
