To be fair I couldn't play half of the time because the servers were absolute garbage so if they make a half decent knockoff without that problem it would already be better for me
When it was working it worked great but randomly the game would get mad laggy. People would start teleporting everywhere or I'd just get kicked for lag. It's also the only online game that did that and I wasn't on wifi. I'm talking about 1-2 seconds of nothing moving and then blasting off before freezing again.
I fricking love Stick of Truth since it was basically a more casualized Paper Mario that was fine enough as is.
Then Fractured But Whole came out and changed a bunch of how the gameplay worked, which was a massive turn off for me.
Now I'm hearing this is a multiplayer game, which I have zero interest in. I was hoping after The Stick of Truth that they would continue to give the gameplay mechanics more depth and just double down on what worked. Instead it's just something else entirely. So I genuinely don't care about what this is, especially if it's multiplayer-focused.
Which doesn't help, but it's not like Obsidian was the only dev capable of doing that gameplay type. Not a criticism at you, just frustrated that each new dev feels they need to reinvent the series when the first was great and just needed to be built upon.
yea I want a stick of truth 2 over this as well, the balance and progression was just too perfect. You could also see that they actually cared a lot which I'm not seeing for this shooter. Also nuTHQ games are rarely high quality in the first place.

Then Stick of Truth comes out, does a pretty solid job, and leaves the series in a way where it can only be improved over time.

the single redeeming thing those games had going for them was how much they actually looked like an episode of the show. why would they go out of their way to suck all of the charm out
i played stick of truth and it was funny and decently fun. if this has the same basic formula I'm sure it will be a fine game that doesnt get popular but is neat and a joy for south park fans/

What the frick were they thinking?
