Roshi trains every day and has been for hundreds of years. Just because you stopped following his character post-Dragon Ball does not mean he isn't becoming stronger over time. At some point in time he would have surpassed characters like Frieza and Cell since he's had decades of training since then. That's a natural progression. Characters become stronger. Maybe not universe busters like the saiyans but they can tackle most challenges. It's a similar case for Krillen.
GT has interesting ideas but fumbles every single one of them, going back to the roadtrip formula from the first anime was a good concept but they just saddle you with fricking Pan and Trunks and their boring filler adventure, making Goku a kid again was literally pointless and jist there for marketing purposes, then the second half is more like Z and they even do some interesting stuff like trying to give the Dragon Balls some fricking consequences for being overused instead of just being the magical reset button but they frick it up with the actual implementation and all that shit about dark dragons.
I'd say Baby is the one thing they didn't completely ruin.

I already mentioned Garlic Jr. There are a bunch of examples I could give of characters nobody played. Freeza Soldier is another, but he at least had a purpose, and by that I mean I could take down a team of Freeza Soldiers before fighting Freeza as like a boss battle. The Garlic Jr. arc in DBZ is not even canon and didn't appear in the manga much like the character of Garlic Jr. in general, however the movie he comes from is one of the most beloved films in the franchise because not only is it the first DBZ movie but it's a great one with fun characters, great animated martial arts, and plenty of memorable moments. Garlic Jr. is badass in it and is one of the few villains in the franchise to actually get his wish from the Dragon Balls. Only a fool would have anything negative to say about him and he should be a guaranteed base roster pick for any Tenkaichi game.

For as 'big' as Sparking Zero's roster seemingly is, I don't think they'll have the space for Heroes characters on the base roster. I mean, even the recent interview even had a vague answer on whether or not GT will be in the base roster or DLC. Like, I'm pretty sure GT Goku, GT Vegeta, and SS4 Gogeta are locks, but the rest of GT could be up in the air, so I'm confident in saying characters from Heroes could be future DLC.

I just had a crazy hunch in terms of gameplay. You know how Blast 1s were L2+O, Blast 2's/Ultimates were L2+△? I always wondered why movesets didn't apply any Blast 1s, 2s, or ultimates to or X? Like, I feel like that'd be a good way to expand a character's playstyle without changing the gameplay too much.

You'd be surprised how many people really like Tenkaichi 2 and 3's story modes. Hell, I remember when Raging Blast 2 came out and people were complaining that it didn't have a true story mode, just a bunch of what-if scenarios and vague re-tellings. Which is funny in hindsight considering I've also heard many people wanting even more what-if battles in the story mode.
The recent interview said Spike was having troubles with Sony and Microsoft in terms of multiplayer, specifically stating they were having troubles with the Xbox Series S when doing multiplayer in past games. Might also be because this is the first game they've done in UE5, so they're probably still learning the ins and outs.

I dunno who those people were, but the Xbox Series S thing was stated from the devs themselves. It makes sense, doing split screen means that the game is rendering everything twice over, so it could be taxing with all the updated graphics and particle effects. Despite the troubles though, they did say they did want to add local multiplayer eventually and are still trying to figure out how to add it back in.
Let's just hope they can do it before the game launches.

17 did a LOT of new things in DBS, and Xenoverse 2 already has a 17 (Super) that plays almost nothing like DBZ 17.

The era distinction in the names has always been to differentiate duplicates. The site already proves that naming logic to still be the case. If it wasn't then 17 and Freeza wouldn't have those tags and would be labelled like Yamcha, Piccolo, Tenshinhan, Jiren, ect. There will be Freeza (Super) with Golden Freeza, and then a separate Freeza (Z).
Considering Piccolo gained like 3 new forms in DBS (Awakened, Orange, Giant Orange), then they can easily split Piccolo (Early) and Piccolo (Late)'s movesets amongst that. As for Future Trunks, pretty sure they'd be stretching his moveset pretty thin if they split his sword moveset between Z and Super. Just have his base and Super Saiyan forms do everything he did in Z/Tenkaichi 3, and then add the new attacks in his SS2 and SSRage movesets.

I mean the roster, yeah BT3 is the peak of gameplay but RB is the best at condensing characters with multiple techniques into one character, by making their movesets customizable.
Xenoverse also does this better too, to a degree
it still does the BT/RB thing where some transformations are different slots, but there is no early or mid Goku in XV, rather they're all just alts with different moves, quotes etc but this also means Xenoverse 2's Goku selection is bigger since there's ones for several arcs or moments within arcs.

DLC wise, I haven't played the latter 3 DLC, though, so I can't mention those. The first three consist of challenge battles (which you can do at nearly any time, letting you max out Goku and Vegeta, with Super Saiyan God, before you finish the Namek Saga), a short story recapping the Resurrection F plot, and a medium-short story covering Future Trunks' life.
If you get it, get it on PC.

I like having better auras (so they look right when ki charging while transformed), being able to freeroam as a fusion character, and having Goku in his Yardrat outfit for the rest of the game.
