That's because bannerlord lets you pick a old build in the game properties. not even fricking skyrim lets you do this the game with the most mods of any game ever.
Get gog instead, it has version control. You can update, downgrade to a previous version, block updates. U can even install the game with the gog client meaning the game doesnt even have a way to autoupdate. The autistic steamdrones will never admit to any fault of their client and instead blame you, the end user. They are literally no different than snoys and tendies
>want to replay game >think i'll do a modded run >new update gets announced >k i'll wait and play without mods >update comes out >don't immediately play it >think at this point i might as well wait for mods to catch up >new update gets announced
just fricking let me play terraria
>why does steam allow you to disable updates but forces you to download them anyway?
It allows you to control your bandwidth/download usage, but not your games.
>update a single mod midway through baldur's gate trilogy with megafrickhugemod pack installed >I'm 200 hours in at this point >mods break, saves break, game breaks
Why yes I am moronic, how could you tell?
>Finish FH4
Just chip away at it, do the weekly festival stuff for rare unlocks, some other races here and there, no way you can marathon that shit (no pun intended) without getting burnt out on it.
This, but I spent almost two weeks making my own mods.
Fricking Mechwarrior 5 man, it's so shit, but it's the only shit we've got.
>doesn't know how to disable game updates
Fricking idiot
it only ever worked for me with bannerlord never any other game.
That's because bannerlord lets you pick a old build in the game properties. not even fricking skyrim lets you do this the game with the most mods of any game ever.
It does on gog
Steam doesn't let you launch games without updating them anymore, it's fricked.
What? Disable in the readme. Takes like 15 seconds.
Not with my games, works on my machine
If you know there is an update coming just disable updates. The game still works without a pointless update
>wait for update of a big class mod to start a new playthrough
>it never comes
Frick, Alternate Monk mod for BG3 was so good.
You’re better off. 99% of mods are just useless coomer shit.
model swaps almost never break
Gog doesnt have this issue. You can disable updates. If you update by accident you can also downgrade to the previous version.
Do you guys not not you can just set the steamapps directory to read-only to disable updates?
>check mods for updates
>the mod alot of other mods rely on wont get updated
Zoomers man
Bro I'm not a hacker
yeah what is this file system shit it looks mid af fr fr skeleton
Mods still get auto updated
Then disable auto updates of mods jesus christ are you a woman?
you mean steam workshop shit? who uses that?
You seem like the type who thought Yuzu won't work on their computer anymore because it was removed.

why does steam allow you to disable updates but forces you to download them anyway?
>why does steam allow you to disable updates but forces you to download them anyway?
It allows you to control your bandwidth/download usage, but not your games.
It never use to be like that.
You have to do it outside of Steam program itself but its easy
Only works if the game doesn't need steam to launch.
No it doesn't.
Probably some nonsense about how it stops your games not working because they're updated.
Solution is posted here
But why not make it a basic functionality? I thought steam was made to make things more convenient for the end user.
>3 days modding game
pic related
The technical ineptitude of Ganker never fails to shock me.
what do you expect from zoomers on a zoomer board
But it's literally the simplest Google search. It's fricking crazy they just throw their hands up like it's just fricking over
>spend hours updating the mods after game update
>finally play game again
>save file not compatible

Why yes I am moronic, how could you tell?
Did you try replacing the mod with the perivious version?
Why man, just fricking why?
>spend 3 days modding game
you're a fricking braindead homosexual if it takes more than 3 hours, kys
Just play without mods. If a game is so awful you need mods to like it then don't play it in the first place.
I can't wait until the morons start REEing when FO4 is updated on the 25th.
It's going to be when it drops off because people will just be unable to figure it out.
It do be like that, tho.
I desperately want to play TTW but I'm trying to finish F4 Horizon first and it's taking forever.
>Finish FH4

I'm sorry anon, Fallout 4 Horizon mod
mods are cringe, play the games as the developers intended
I do.
