This, but also why would you spend money on something unless you know you're going to use it? Do you have a problem? Do you need to contact some sort of impulse buyer's help hotline?
You know why you have no friends? Because you're kinda dumb. Because you do shit like this without thinking of consequences, without thinking ahead.
You are not very bright, is what I'm saying.
>Ask people if they want to play >No man, I'm not really into that sort of thing. >Ask other people >No man, I'm not really into that sort of thing. Hey, look at this cool tiktok I saw earlier! >Anon says, "Oh, then you need to get better friends!" >Look around for better friends >There aren't any around here
Okay, what step are we on now?
Fricking why? Even if you're some moral homosexual who doesn't want to pirate, there are tons of FREE games out there. Hell, even if your taste is so bad that it's D&D bad, Pathfinder 1e and 2e both have completely free and legal SRDs online for your dose of generic elf-dwarf-orc-tiefling normieslop and play like D&D anyway.
>Been a while since me and my friends played >They ask me if I could run them a game >"I dunno. That would be right when I get off work." >They practically beg me >"Okay! Sheesh! I'll run the game!" >Time comes, I get off work >They're all playing flavor of the month game >"I'm ready to run the game you guys wanted me to run..." >They all just keep playing flavor of the month game instead.
The worst fricking thing about this hobby is playersonly frickers. The only solution op is to join a table (if you can find any) as a player and then, after some time just say you're available to run some games, it may work. Conversely start playing solo, at least you can scratch your itch and acquire on the meantime precious sysmastery.
Do you want somebody to play with? Human players complicate the games and shit on the food and drinks you offer them, they don't want to enjoy the plot and constantly have excuses why they have to skip a gaming session, I gave up on them. Now I GM only for AI chatbots, reliable, knows what character it wants to play and even thanks you at the end of session. I cried of ugly self-pity that I enjoyed running game for some language model more than playing with real humans.
Anons, we must be the change we want to see in the world.

I'm currently seeking playtesters for a game I'm developing. As part of that I'm eager to learn and play all sorts of games. Reach out to me Anon, we can play games together.
>spent a bunch of money on shit that I could have gotten completely for free
You're a moron, maybe this is why you have no friends.

If only money could also make friends... oh, wait!
Is there anything that money can't do?
For one it can't prolong your life indefinitely. Not yet anyway.
Complain!
Have you tried asking people if they want to play?

Find a game store, my Black person.
>Spending money
>On games of pretend

Lethal company?
My Forbidden Land copy is not required too. However, I run campaigns with my Vaesen and Spire books.
Social codependency is such a b***h. I’d feel for you, but I’m too emotionally distant from having only played solo games my entire life.
I just make up my own characters and pretend i play with others taking actions for each one.
I hope you don't own firearms.
I did this too, when I was 12. Real men use Player Emulator With Tags.
They don’t, this is a cope. But sometimes it’s fun
>Make moronic decisions

Same, all the groups around me are filled with ”that guy” types or dangerhairs.
Warlock on Firetop Mountain and Deathtrap Dungeon alright for ye?
RPG books are for reading; play is secondary.
Take the solopill.
>Just pretend you are playing pretend!
I do this
I don’t. But I am pretending to pretend to play pretend
>spent a bunch of money on RPG books
>such an uncharismatic FRICK that my stupid shithead friends refuse to play anything I pitch

shit happens: the thread
When you have a nice day use a revolver. Don't be one of those semi-automatic, "the gun jammed and I found Jesus" pussies.
Go find Jesus.
Jesus turned God woke.
I'll do you one more
>Pirate games and spend time learning to play
>friends buy me books
>they never have time to play
You'll make friends someday, anon.
4 methods
Find or run game on a vtt
Find or run text based or play by post game on forum, reddit, Ganker, or discord
Play solo. Solo general is useful for this.
Just read the books and or imagine what playing them might be like.
Go to a bad public game. Identify good players. Poach them.
