I bought my PS4 in 2018 specifically to play Spider-Man. I couldn't possibly care less for this game. Gow Ragnarok was boring, Forbidden West was boring and this is gonna be the same thing. Sequel that is just the same shit as the original, but bigger with more stuff. It's just another Spider-Man game. I've played several before. Will I play it? Of course. But not on release. I don't need to pay 70 dollars for this. I know exactly what I'm gonna get.

Brock’s remanences of the symbiote in his blood get funky with Martin Li’s powers. Brock gets healing powers and a savior complex. So we’re getting two Brock related symbiotes without him I guess.
From what I remember the symbiote basically gave cancer to Eddy so it dipped and left him to die, but he got healed by Negative Man which resulted in the remnants of Venom becoming anti-Venom;
Then they retconned that to Eddie never had cancer. Fricking comics.

I like Miles a lot but it was weird that despite this Spider-Man still being relatively young and early in his career, having yet to fight some of his greatest supervillains, they decided that it was also already time for Peter to be a mentor to 21st century mutt Spiderman.
I probably could have tolerated it if the Miles stuff in the first game was interesting, but his gameplay sections suck and none of his interactions with Peter are all that compelling. I can sort of get why they did this. On one hand, you want a Peter who's experienced and grown enough to distinguish him from the younger Miles but at the same time, you don't want to have used up all of the main villains because you want your game(and future games) plot to revolve around said villains. I think the latest Spider-Man animation had Miles and Peter be roughly the same age and get powers roughly at the same time and to no one surprise, that ended up being one of the series biggest problems.
