It’s pretty much an elevated wagglan game. Inherently niche, but I think it was really solid and novel
the core idea is cool but I don't think it was executed well and yeah the waggling is definitely part of the issue, they should have tried to make it mechanically deeper without controls being shackled to motion gaming as the base

Nintendo basically started treating it like a "Best Of Nintendo" machine but it's original titles are still killer.

For a game that had 6 years of dev time, it really failed to impress most zelda fans (including me) and I only wonder how it will affect the next title. A game like Fortnite or Minecraft can keep players focused on only those titles and they will never branch out to other games unless a shill streamer convinces them to switch over. The industry has become so big that game companies cannot rely solely on video games fans but are at the mercy of Wales and generational casuals (originally brought in by the PS2 and not the Wii. Who the frick do you think is still buying Bethesda, sports, and Fromsoft garbage and anime fighting games?)

I've played every splatoon for a couple months at release and then end up dropping the game. I'm not autistic enough to play the same game for 9 years straight when there's literally nothing to do once you get perfect gear that's barely noticeable ingame or get the highest comp rank. Plus the catalog in 3 is overwatch levels of a shit battlepass mechanic.
