In short that whole corner of extra details for the square is on a different layer they forgot to set visible during Big Run since it changes slightly during Splatfests.

The trick to this map is 100% abuse the snatchers. They ALWAYS spawn from behind. So run forwards, slay bosses and leave the eggs for the snatchers to fetch. Don’t kill them willy nilly

Seems really easy for the middle of the map to get congested with trash, all the spawn points are in weird areas so flyfish and stingers are worse than ever and steel eels are a b***h
Seems the best idea is to ignore eggs and focus on keeping the mid clear of bosses and use the snatchers to ferry the eggs. Pretty hard map honestly. Getting gold is rough if everyone isn’t on the same page
Just imagine how much worse it would be had the based in on base Eeltail and not Tricolor Eeltail.

What’s everyone’s tips for glowflies or grillers on the three tides? People keep hopping on the little walls but this seems moronic as they’re inkable and the grillers face away from you and the basket on low time doing this.
Personally for low tide the ramp to the “right” is a better spot as you can’t be hit and can refil ink for bomb spam, and the eggs fall right by the basket.
For glowflies I have no idea. Wall hanging works okay on mid tide.

What a lackluster season
Good news is I got 135 exactly. Kind of disappointed still as we got 50 and 54 on the first waves, was set up for a 150+ score with a good freelance team but choked on wave 3.
Can confirm my suspicions were correct. It’s much easier to dunk less eggs and instead just focus on bosses. Even if snatchers manage to steal some chances are with less dead players and more room to move pays off
For the love of cod stop ignoring drizzler shots, slamming kids and fishsticks. They all are probably the reason you are dying so much or losing control of the map due to crowding or ink problems. Snatcher cheese is incredibly powerful though.
Wasnt the Mincemeat Rework this past season? Reworks come with midseason patches.
Because more than two maps are still shit, so they need to pull their finger out and rework maps for both seasonal and mid season updates
Also we only got one new map, unlike all the other seasons which came with a returning map at least, meaning they could’ve squeezed in a rework in place of a second map.

The fact they couldn't even be bothered to test if Square actually loaded properly in Big Run should be all you need to know Splatoon 3 is down to just support staff at this point. Reworks probably aren't happening.
The previous map reworks have been in the mid season patches, so not sure why you were expecting one in the main patch.
Pretty chill map to farm scale, didn't lose a single shift yet in freelance and got several 160+ score around the 700 range without even focusing on eggs.
Map seems easy to win on because it’s so big, so much room to retreat if needed
But my experience has been cancer with freelancers just not splatting enough. Getting over 135 was a chore.

Eeltail is better as a SR stage than it ever was for PvP.
