ProChara definitely is one of the higher paid ones, he’s the exception to the rule. High subscribers and views per video. He’s not huge by youtube standards, but his channel has the biggest spread and he probably makes decent cash off it, enough to sustain himself. Cant say the same for 99% of the other splatubers who are making peanuts with less subscribers, slow channel growth and views. Splat is just more of a weird niche for youtube. Seemed much bigger with 2. The west as a whole just isnt that interested in Splatoon 3 right now and Nintendo isnt helping with these tourney restrictions.

There are plenty of games that have better "economies" for youtubers. Splatoon 3 is not one of them. Even Splatoon 2 was a lot more profitable for Youtubers than 3 is. The interest just isn't there, meaning not many channels are going to "make it" compared to other gaming focused channels.

Which mode? The gold aerospray with some special charge up might be what you want for turf wars. So easy a timmy could use it. Could try comeback + quick respawn + stealth jump build too. Put a sub of special saver/quick super jump in there as well.

It's not a good weapon for turf unless you know for certain you can be a "slayer" and the rest of your team will turf for you and we know that shitter is incapable of fulfilling that role. If he was playing tower control that would be one thing, but blasters suck ass in turf wars

If you want your timmy to contribute in turf war you give him quick respawn and stealth jump along with a shooter like jr or aerogay or even splattershot and send them on their way.

One thing I learned with turf war is if you ink your base thoroughly at the very beginning, your timmies aren't going to be lagging as much painting autistically. Paint it before they can and they'll be forced to go to mid with you 😉
they should make it where if your spawn is a high percentage painted by the team then it should give you a frickin warning to leave out of it before it pushes you off.

It can tap shot them from the ground. I'm going to draw a quick illustration because it's been bothering me lately.
Basically with the bamboo's tap shot, it has the same range as a charge shot. If you stand in front of it at an angle, and aim at the right most fish stick, you can just tap it to death relatively easy, much easier than if you were to try to climb the thing and kill it individually. Next time I'll just take a video when bamboo's in another rotation

Two charge shots kills steelhead, easy.
The point is even if you're using stick controls, with this strategy all you have to do is aim at the right most fishstick from a diagonal angle and just tap, and the rest of the fish sticks will rotate right into the fire as they move clockwise. Don't have to move the cursor. Once the target is found, tap until death. EZ

Trislosher probably has the biggest gap between the skill required to play it and its overall effectiveness, especially the one that lets you shit out Taticoolers and ram your face into the enemy consequence free
Vanilla slosher does require some aim, as does sloshing machine. Trislosher not so much, but it just requries you to be up in someone's face to hit them. Trislosh Nouveau is a good choice.

With Splatoon being forcefully shut down soon, I don't think it's that unlikely. You literally won't be able to play that signature map soon. Eventually they will be put in a new game, if not now, then in a future splat game. But they are some of the better levels they've made, so they should come back.

Series is the more fair mode to be honest. Yeah it's fun to play with anons/friends but teams with matching names and all that bullshit is just cringe. Although it is very satisfying to beat them with a ragtag group of anons/randos. I guess it's good experience to fight coordinated teams like that as well. Still, I think series is a bit more fair. Rank up battles are stressful but they don't happen very often, and they are pretty satisfying when you do actually rank up.

The ranked playerbase is so small that if people coordinate queueing up it's pretty likely they end up in the same game. With how matchmaking works regarding weapon ranges it might also possible to entice the system to match you together with the right picks

It most definitely can happen. Open doesn't have the same restrictions as the other modes. You can have S+ and C- rankers in the same lobby due to how groups are teamed up. Just because you go solo doesn't guarantee you'll be going up against solo players only.
Now IF you do go with a full 4 players of the pool or whatever you WILL get discord teams guaranteed, sometimes the same teams on repeat as many anons know. It can be fun but oftentimes it's tiresome.

Climbing up to do your S+ battle shouldn't be too difficult. But your actual rank up battle will be a bit of a whiplash as they'll pair you against anyone from S+, meaning you could be going up against gold/silver X rankers if you're unlucky. The people in S also might be S+ers who are lazy/holding off on ranking up again, combined with people who don't play the game often. Most people get funneled into S eventually just due to how forgiving the series are with points. You can steadily rank up just going 3-3 in all of your series. The skill is all over the place in both S and S+, but marginally tougher in the latter due to some real demons hanging around there.
There's a lot of those in S+.
There's also a lot of morons who seemingly have never played some of these modes before in S+. The skill is all over the place, but due to the existence of the first group S+ is a lot tougher. The disparity actually makes it really hard if the game considers you good and puts a bunch of morons on your team to balance out your "power". If you aren't up to par to win your fights against those X'ers your entire team is fricked. You have to be ready to carry like you've never done before if you want to keep climbing past that point.

You can use mouse and keyboard in splatoon, but it has none of the benefits associated with mouse and keyboard since it just translates it into gyro aim
I don't get the matchmaking in S+. It insists on putting me with some of the worst players I've seen, I have to enter hyper carry mode if I want to win and sometimes there's literally nothing I can do.
Is it because I won too much before and now the game match me with players who doesn't win much and are in negative hell ? For some reason X is way easier for me.
There is a hidden MMR for ALL of the modes, overlapping rankings that we as the player are never shown.
Basically if you're kicking ass in whatever mode, be it turf or series or whatever, your ranking will go up. When a team is paired against another team, all of the rankings are aggregated and that's what makes your team's "power". If you are winning most of your fights, they will put lower power teammates on your team with the expectation that you will carry them. It's fricked up, but that's how the matchmaking functions.

Even OatmealDome is credited on this and he's one of the bigger dataminers for this game. I'm not sure if the table is all inclusive. I know it does start you off based on your rank for Fest Pro, as do challenges as well I believe.
I can deal with Spawning Grounds mostly, it's not nearly as much of a shitshow as those other two maps most of the time. But man you get some bad shore spawns on normal tide Marooner's and you have to slog a fricking mile both ways to deal with that bullshit. Worst you get on Spawning Grounds is that one butthole Flyfish out on the grates.

Why can't this game match people of the same power together outside of X ? What's so fun about having to carry others ? It's not doing a favor to these players, that must be how some of them are in a rank they don't belong.
I imagine they do it this way to make the matchmaking faster. The reason X's matchmaking takes so damn long is probably due to it being much more strict over the power levels of each player, along with keeping the weapon values similar as well. the other modes don't worry about that stuff and just say frick it, here's a team just so they can get the match moving along faster I bet.
It doesn't give a good first impression because progression system is obtuse, it takes a long time to get to the rank you belong in in ranked (now "anarchy") and especially in Salmon Run where it not just takes time but also resets every day. SR is not fun until you're at least EVP 200, but that's an hour of playing just to get there, daily.
I've been playing blasters more lately, it's pretty fun. Mostly just bust out Range blaster in tower control but I liked using S-Blast in zones as well
I have had a lot of fun with the rapid blaster pro, something just feels good about chipping down someone from a mile away or hitting a direct. Also, ink mines are underrated and can be downright lethal if used correctly.

Turn up sensitivity to max on both sticks and analogues then. It should already be cranked to max for stick as the camera moves slows as hell even with max analogue. If you don't want to twist your hands/arms whatever around as much, crank motion sensitivity to max. Then you can move the camera with much more subtle movements.
If the motion sensitivity is TOO jerky, just turn it down one half notch until it's comfortable for you. You'll probably like max motion if you prefer less hand movement. See how it goes

Man this challenge has been a bit miserable. But some interesting moments in there. Seems like most of my teammates had never used splatlings before. I was happy with my own performance at least. But I don't think these levels are the ideal pick for splatlings on tower control. Just feels very campy and very tough to make actual pushes.

He’s not huge by youtube standards, but his channel has the biggest spread and he probably makes decent cash off it, enough to sustain himself. Seemed much bigger with 2. The west as a whole just isnt that interested in Splatoon 3 right now and Nintendo isnt helping with these tourney restrictions.

There are plenty of games that have better "economies" for youtubers. Splatoon 3 is not one of them. Even Splatoon 2 was a lot more profitable for Youtubers than 3 is. The interest just isn't there, meaning not many channels are going to "make it" compared to other gaming focused channels.

Which mode? The gold aerospray with some special charge up might be what you want for turf wars. So easy a timmy could use it. Could try comeback + quick respawn + stealth jump build too. Put a sub of special saver/quick super jump in there as well.

It can tap shot them from the ground. I'm going to draw a quick illustration because it's been bothering me lately.
Basically with the bamboo's tap shot, it has the same range as a charge shot. If you stand in front of it at an angle, and aim at the right most fish stick, you can just tap it to death relatively easy, much easier than if you were to try to climb the thing and kill it individually. Next time I'll just take a video when bamboo's in another rotation

The point is even if you're using stick controls, with this strategy all you have to do is aim at the right most fishstick from a diagonal angle and just tap, and the rest of the fish sticks will rotate right into the fire as they move clockwise. Don't have to move the cursor. Once the target is found, tap until death. EZ

One thing I learned with turf war is if you ink your base thoroughly at the very beginning, your timmies aren't going to be lagging as much painting autistically. Paint it before they can and they'll be forced to go to mid with you 😉
Trislosher probably has the biggest gap between the skill required to play it and its overall effectiveness, especially the one that lets you shit out Taticoolers and ram your face into the enemy consequence free

Vanilla slosher does require some aim, as does sloshing machine. Trislosher not so much, but it just requries you to be up in someone's face to hit them. Trislosh Nouveau is a good choice.

With Splatoon being forcefully shut down soon, I don't think it's that unlikely. You literally won't be able to play that signature map soon. Eventually they will be put in a new game, if not now, then in a future splat game. But they are some of the better levels they've made, so they should come back.

We already know that Bluefin Depot is coming back, and we'll likely get a new stage along with that plus two new specials have been datamined that will likely drop next update, one rumored to be a wall/smokescreen of sorts that blocks vision for part of the field

Series is the more fair mode to be honest. Yeah it's fun to play with anons/friends but teams with matching names and all that bullshit is just cringe. Although it is very satisfying to beat them with a ragtag group of anons/randos. I guess it's good experience to fight coordinated teams like that as well. Still, I think series is a bit more fair. Rank up battles are stressful but they don't happen very often, and they are pretty satisfying when you do actually rank up.

The ranked playerbase is so small that if people coordinate queueing up it's pretty likely they end up in the same game. With how matchmaking works regarding weapon ranges it might also possible to entice the system to match you together with the right picks

It most definitely can happen. Open doesn't have the same restrictions as the other modes. You can have S+ and C- rankers in the same lobby due to how groups are teamed up. Just because you go solo doesn't guarantee you'll be going up against solo players only.
Now IF you do go with a full 4 players of the pool or whatever you WILL get discord teams guaranteed, sometimes the same teams on repeat as many anons know. It can be fun but oftentimes it's tiresome.

S rank is full of morons. So is S+ I'm told.
Climbing up to do your S+ battle shouldn't be too difficult. But your actual rank up battle will be a bit of a whiplash as they'll pair you against anyone from S+, meaning you could be going up against gold/silver X rankers if you're unlucky. The people in S also might be S+ers who are lazy/holding off on ranking up again, combined with people who don't play the game often. Most people get funneled into S eventually just due to how forgiving the series are with points. You can steadily rank up just going 3-3 in all of your series. The skill is all over the place in both S and S+, but marginally tougher in the latter due to some real demons hanging around there.

There's also a lot of morons who seemingly have never played some of these modes before in S+. The skill is all over the place, but due to the existence of the first group S+ is a lot tougher. If you aren't up to par to win your fights against those X'ers your entire team is fricked. You have to be ready to carry like you've never done before if you want to keep climbing past that point.

I don't get the matchmaking in S+. It insists on putting me with some of the worst players I've seen, I have to enter hyper carry mode if I want to win and sometimes there's literally nothing I can do.
Is it because I won too much before and now the game match me with players who doesn't win much and are in negative hell ? For some reason X is way easier for me.
There is a hidden MMR for ALL of the modes, overlapping rankings that we as the player are never shown.
Basically if you're kicking ass in whatever mode, be it turf or series or whatever, your ranking will go up. When a team is paired against another team, all of the rankings are aggregated and that's what makes your team's "power". If you are winning most of your fights, they will put lower power teammates on your team with the expectation that you will carry them. It's fricked up, but that's how the matchmaking functions.

I imagine they do it this way to make the matchmaking faster. The reason X's matchmaking takes so damn long is probably due to it being much more strict over the power levels of each player, along with keeping the weapon values similar as well. the other modes don't worry about that stuff and just say frick it, here's a team just so they can get the match moving along faster I bet.

It doesn't give a good first impression because progression system is obtuse, it takes a long time to get to the rank you belong in in ranked (now "anarchy") and especially in Salmon Run where it not just takes time but also resets every day. SR is not fun until you're at least EVP 200, but that's an hour of playing just to get there, daily.

I've been playing blasters more lately, it's pretty fun. Mostly just bust out Range blaster in tower control but I liked using S-Blast in zones as well
I have had a lot of fun with the rapid blaster pro, something just feels good about chipping down someone from a mile away or hitting a direct. Also, ink mines are underrated and can be downright lethal if used correctly.

Turn up sensitivity to max on both sticks and analogues then. It should already be cranked to max for stick as the camera moves slows as hell even with max analogue. If you don't want to twist your hands/arms whatever around as much, crank motion sensitivity to max. Then you can move the camera with much more subtle movements.

If the motion sensitivity is TOO jerky, just turn it down one half notch until it's comfortable for you. You'll probably like max motion if you prefer less hand movement. See how it goes

Man this challenge has been a bit miserable. But some interesting moments in there. Seems like most of my teammates had never used splatlings before. I was happy with my own performance at least. But I don't think these levels are the ideal pick for splatlings on tower control. Just feels very campy and very tough to make actual pushes.

If you're playing the stock Mini Splatling, just disconnect. It's the only useful move you can make.
Whats wrong with mini splatling? Burst bombs are great and the stamp is a great tool in like A+ to low-mid S, you can take a point by yourself, insta clear tower, or make a push through a defensive position

there may not be a report option for "this player sucks total ass at the game", but I did have the privilege of essentially doing just that in a recent game, when timmys 40 iq strategy was so abysmal that it clearly fell within the "intentionally not contributing" category.
He thought he was going to be a cool dude by sharking in the enemy base... for 40+ seconds... in fricking tower control, DURING an enemy push, in which they simply super jumped from spawn to the tower whenever they died, never setting foot in their base. The replay footage was just a squid staring at a wall doing nothing until the game ended. But hey at least he responded to all the "This Way!"s with Booyeah!
