• grillers are invincible and only drop eggs when hit while open

• slammin’ lids will now fly to nearby players and slam automatically
• smallfrys have been made smaller and now take more hits to splat
• egg quotas have been doubled
• all profresh workers have been merged with EVP
• glowfly waves are now default 1st wave
• tower control has been removed
• ranked turf war
• the clash blaster now has the same range as the splat charger

• amiibos now only give you one piece of gear, requiring multiple to get the set

Apparently the scrims were just against Timmy's gay discord team. Timmy being the tiny manlet player who won the e3 world championship tournament and was #1 in our region for two seasons. And they also had Ballin. Now it should be a little more even, though they do have several top 500s and we're mostly just regular players. In the end we're giving it our all and having fun.
I really want the grizz weapon to be dualies again, even know it probably isn't. So damn fun. I like those weapons, but I can see dps being something of a problem if the game keeps giving stuff like the 2 worthless brushes or clash blaster.

Well it was a 1 minute long game where my team was setting up in mid and everyone was farming for their specials there wasn't any kills just had 4 zips popped and I just jumped back to spawn but they kept going instead of going after my team so I knew the best thing for me to do is distract them long enough for my team to get a good lead and they thankfully capitalized on the enemy team being moronic and had full specials and the entire map covered when they recalled back after the zips so they just killed them with specials and by the time the enemy team respawned we knocked out

I have a theory that the game's matchmaking isn't as random as it seems. From an extensive amount of playtime in Splatoon 2 and 3, I hypothesize that the game gives you a seed each rotation which determines the difficulty/winnability of your games. Get a good seed? Good to decent teammates, reasonable weapon comps, likely wins if you play well enough? Get a bad seed? Expect useless teammates, ridiculous weapon comps, and a lot of virtually unwinnable games.
Why design the matchmaking like this? It keeps people playing. By essentially giving players turns at winning, less-skilled players will be satisfied enough to keep playing once they go on a free win streak. More skilled players may get frustrated, but they'll chalk it up to bad teammates and just feel better when their good seed comes.
This is an incredibly stupid theory, but I've heard a lot of players talking about incredible win streaks or unlikely losing streaks, so I do have to wonder if something outside of player ability is at play here.
I don't know if Splatoon is like that, but that kind of matchmaking is extremely common in modern games. As in not just rumored, but confirmed to work like that.

It honestly feels that, ever since the golden wildcard rotation on Jammin' Salmon Junction, the overall quality of randoms has plummeted and getting a good team going requires way more luck. The later you start, the worse the randos get.
I mean, you know what happened during the wave, you can see the kills/revives/golden eggs/power eggs at the end and any sort of weird or unusual scenario is something that sticks out for anyone who was playing.
Have you not played the game in like a year or so? The Pool system has been in service for months and months now.

They added in a handful of new EW stickers even though they didn’t use all the ones from the previous seasons, so they gotta do something with them
My guess is they’d probably do back-to-back EW events later in November to get rid of the majority of them, hence why we got no pre-season announcement (yes this is cope)

Well it was a 1 minute long game where my team was setting up in mid and everyone was farming for their specials there wasn't any kills just had 4 zips popped and I just jumped back to spawn but they kept going instead of going after my team so I knew the best thing for me to do is distract them long enough for my team to get a good lead and they thankfully capitalized on the enemy team being moronic and had full specials and the entire map covered when they recalled back after the zips so they just killed them with specials and by the time the enemy team respawned we knocked out

I have a theory that the game's matchmaking isn't as random as it seems. From an extensive amount of playtime in Splatoon 2 and 3, I hypothesize that the game gives you a seed each rotation which determines the difficulty/winnability of your games. Get a good seed? Good to decent teammates, reasonable weapon comps, likely wins if you play well enough? Get a bad seed? Expect useless teammates, ridiculous weapon comps, and a lot of virtually unwinnable games.
Why design the matchmaking like this? It keeps people playing. By essentially giving players turns at winning, less-skilled players will be satisfied enough to keep playing once they go on a free win streak. More skilled players may get frustrated, but they'll chalk it up to bad teammates and just feel better when their good seed comes.
This is an incredibly stupid theory, but I've heard a lot of players talking about incredible win streaks or unlikely losing streaks, so I do have to wonder if something outside of player ability is at play here.
I don't know if Splatoon is like that, but that kind of matchmaking is extremely common in modern games. As in not just rumored, but confirmed to work like that.
