You have no say on what levels you get to play in multiplayer, everything is on a set rotation. Game is mostly online oriented so if you’re on shitty wifi do NOT buy this game. Get an ethernet adaptor.

I think its a good way to get casual players integrated into the ranked modes. It’s random weapons and other crazy shit, its not meant to be taken seriously. Sometimes its turf wars, first challenge was, but it would be lame if they were ALL turf wars. Splat Zones is EZ, just turf one part of the map and splat squiggas. One of the most straightforward ranked modes
Im an X rank chad who doesnt just play the same weapon. There are people who exclusively only play one weapon and they will be a liability in this mode. Some cant even into basic firing modes of shit like the ballpoint. People who have experience with that weapon will have an edge since they understand the basics. Many who play it safe and only play their five star weapon will be fricked if they are handed anything other than their basic b***h shooter. its not a straightforward formula you can just copy and paste. Part of Splatoon’s charm is the aesthetics, the music, the weird squid characters, the fashion, etc. Only other game I can think of that borrowed its style was Ninjala but pretty different gameplay. The other main thing that makes Splatoon unique is the movement options. Foamstars seems awkward because the foam obscures the entire stage design. It looks like a visual cluttered mess and I guarantee you it will flop.

Splatoon 2 Splatfests were the series' peak, but Splatoon 1 was overall the best experience.

On the bright side, Inkbrush does help you cover a lot of ground quickly, especially in Spawning Grounds.
I use it to beat down Stingers then run away before the trash mob gets me.

You’re being intentionally obtuse and downplaying the fact that Salmon Run helps you get a handle on basic fundamentals of the different weapon classes. If you have never used a charger you’re going to be shit at it. Whether you want to believe it or not, it helps teach you how to aim better than if you never used the weapon at all. Salmon may be morons with bigger hitboxes and predictable movement but you need good reflexes to be able to survive in the chaos and kill targets as they appear out of nowhere, behind you, all around you and pick out which you need to kill when. Some cant even into basic firing modes of shit like the ballpoint. People who have experience with that weapon will have an edge since they understand the basics. Many who play it safe and only play their five star weapon will be fricked if they are handed anything other than their basic b***h shooter. Explain to me how that person will have an advantage using a weapon theyve never even bothered experimenting with compared to someone who has put hours into it, regardless of mode?

because I can trust a ranked player to know how a weapon's fundamentals works simply by having fought against them
I can't expect someone who essentially plays SR to know how to use all the different subs or specials, how to play off other people's weapon or when to push or retake, hell, they don't even use the map in SR

the closes thing happending is that Square enix game that have questionable style
its not a straightforward formula you can just copy and paste. Part of Splatoon’s charm is the aesthetics, the music, the weird squid characters, the fashion, etc. Only other game I can think of that borrowed its style was Ninjala but pretty different gameplay. The other main thing that makes Splatoon unique is the movement options. Foamstars seems awkward because the foam obscures the entire stage design. It looks like a visual cluttered mess and I guarantee you it will flop.

does this game have ghost rankings in turf war? i was fricking annihilating every single game for a while after i learned how to do motion sensitivy aim (like 20 kills in some games) and then all of a sudden i was surrounded by people who did the same and i was fricking back to 5 kills per game.

Hydra's so damn good, potentially. But it can get shut down super hard really easy. There are games where you are become Death, destroyer of worlds. And then there are games where you literally can do anything because of flyfish, stingers, scrappers, maws, and any combination thereof.

Stressing about eggs makes people better at meeting quota at least. But sometimes I feel people tend to go a little overboard for eggs we really dont need in regular Salmon Run which can risk a team wipe if people get too greedy. If weve made quota Im basically going to shift gears into more defensive play
who meme'd "snipers are le good" again? I'm tired of playing in teams with 2-3 snipers that clearly don't know how to use it and ends matches with 1200+ for me and 300 for eveyone else.

Splatoon has been a wild ride since launch in May 2015 to the current day. Plenty of great memories playing with my friends. They don't play Splatoon anymore for the most part, but we're still close friends. Can't believe it's been 8 years.
