Same kek. Too worn out to play something more complicated. Shooters just werk in turf wars. Splattershot got those buffs, plus inkzooka got buffed pretty nicely. Going to act as the go-to slayer and fight on the frontlines for whatever team I'm on, as we have enough non-combative aerogays to run around. I will be focused on killing. Swim speed + quick respawn + stealth jump. Might switch to something else if my team is also aggressive
Both Nzaps seem viable as well. If you know what you're doing you're more than just the dude that pumps out coolers.
Oh definitely I'm gonna be switching to N-zap at some point. If nobody picks a tacticooler weapon I'll probably switch to that after a little while. Just 4-starred the vanilla, frickin love tacticoolers man.
The N-zap 89 is also a solid choice with super chump. Run some special power up and it makes them even beefier. They actually are a bit of a threat now with the buffs and they turf quite a lot of area.
Splash always a strong choice, or splat dualies as well since both have access to crab which can kill + turf like a mother.
Shout out to the Annaki nova. Inkjet spam + can turf well. I might use the slosher as well. It's really strong on some of these levels.

Have you messed around with its alt kit? Super chump plus beacons seems pretty useful. It was a common choice in that jap turf wars tournament recently.
Not really. Beacons sound interesting, but the super chump is kinda meh for me, besides the Wave Breaker is awesome for controlling the point.
Yeah I love wave breaker myself. Problem is it doesn't turf at all and unlike ranked there's less of a clustering of players around a single objective so it might not be as effective. Chumps at least get your turf up a little bit more, that's why I suggest it. Obviously beacons are situational depending on the map but they're really useful in tandem with a tacticooler player

It's getting a lot more usage. The explosion changes is a huge buff honestly, so it's more of a threat now. It's getting experimented with in the comp scene but we'll see how good it is actually. As for now though yeah you can definitely make better use of it.

V-jet is a solid choice
*and* the line marker has gotten a ton of buffs. I think it combos into jet now, two shot I believe? after a direct hit. So yeah, those two buffs alone have strengthened VJet a good amount.
The kit works well, but it's really lacking when the other team has more bombs and oppressive specials than your team.
Its weaknesses are the same but the blast is frickoff huge now.

Anon, I only have gotten 1 (one) gold scale, ever. I've been playing since the game came out. Yeah I don't play SR all the time and I'm not super good at it, but still holy frick, I clear 12 capsules in EVP almost every rotation and have plenty of Zuna/Boros encounters (even if not many kills).

IIRC, there was some update to how they calculate splatfests to make it so the popular wouldn't automatically win. Basically skewing the results in some way so even with fewer players they can compete. Unless I'm wrong and that was some kind of fever dream
they've done a couple updates messing with how it works and currently the popular team always wins anyway, in the end the only significant change is that tricolor doesn't make the winning team defend which I think is kinda moronic since that was kinda the whole point of tricolor, the two loser try take down the current winner but now you'll be lucky to see the winning team defending once or twice every few hours of matches

in my opinion, the problem is the three-choice splatfests. there's just too much player division, or one choice gets like no votes. should have just had two, shiver and frye picks. big man should have been an indecisive member who goes along with what wins because he knew that was best all along.
Its such a painful design decision they made. Somebody needed to stop Nogami but nobody spoke up
I also forgot to mention that having three choices ironically limits what splatfests can be about. having to find three topics sucks, we've had two shill splatfests and how many food related ones so far?
not to mention how they couldn't keep up monthly splatfests to begin with
Another one is how points are counted, which got readjusted a few times. One specific one is tri-color counting towards far more points, encouraging you to play it more
