If this taught me anything it’s that there is a sweet spot for difficulty and maximum egg-collection. Around 400-600 I was averaging around 150+ eggs for each game, but 600+ that sank to 120 at best on account of the increased difficulty making collection harder

Even after the buff Reeflux feels pretty mid. Usable, but far from comfortable.

Sprinkler helps it a little bit with inking and chump seems like a decent way to support the team without having to move from sniping positions. I would have given it fizzy though since it turfs a wider area and can apply more chip damage which is exactly what the weapon wants to do anyways.

I care about the mid-season updates because I really like weapon changes but I doubt most people do. Hopefully you're right. Porting Splatoon 2 maps at least should be very easy. They want to destroy Splatoon 1 maps so those take more effort.

It's not awful but it doesn't add a ton to most.
It definitely isn't enough but I'm always excited to see what there is. It's enough to make the mid-season update feel special to me at least. I would like more content or at least fixing more weapons in these patches.

I'm okay with new mahi. Old mahi's design was kind of a fricking mess. The spawn area seemed very throw together with the long hallway of random elevations. I do think mid and the little island areas were better in the original though.

So I'm watching that recent world championship tourney. The vac is getting some serious usage and altering the flow of battle, the buffs did matter

Right now from what I can tell it's the vanilla jet squelcher the japs are using in their comps. Pretty interesting team comps altogether, I'd recommend giving it a watch. One team for tower control it's basically spam sodas and keep vacuum going and that worked surprisingly well. the other they used an inkvac to cap zone and turn the entire match around + tenta brella. Just some crazy stuff and of course japs dominated again.
Yeah, but vac players suck.
Well it's not just that but you need a coordinated team environment to get the most out of it. Point is the buffs have really helped boost it a bit.
