thats not true. Brinewater and mincemeat are the worst by far. All the old maps are decent. They had 1 hydra and sniper. Nzap, and Octoshoot. We had 2 sploosh btw. (one of which was me). Funny enough, we had most kills. The other 2 guys had 1.
My strategy tends to be to collect shells, then wait for a good map rotation to go for the 100x. I usually rotate between Open and Pro for that. Im not gonna report a disconnector ever again. This sucks.

100x battles are given higher chances by the total shell count of your team. 333x happens if both teams proc a 100x. What people don't realize is that 100x battles are team-sided, so if you lose one that doesn't mean the other team won anything more than a 1x.
I've heard this before, that when playing a 100x, it counts as a regular battle for the other team. No shit? That's just a weird design choice. Do they just don't want the other team to experience a 100x loss, then? I had a full match full of 100x winners, too. Damn it, haha.
Yeah, the only multiplier that shows up for both teams is 333x since it specifically requires both teams triggering a 100x.

I did generally get decent teams, yeah, but I also pulled a 24-hour play session on Fri thru Sat. I still got hit by the 50/50 ratio of course, but I felt stubborn this 'fest and wanted to get those badges, so I got sweaty, not as much as some of those +24'ers though. Coincidentally, I got my hands on the gold Attacker badge yesterday morning to round out my Defender badge, too. Tri-Color teams were preddy gud, so here's to Big Man winning that at least. If you played with me, hopefully I wasn't shit.
You must hove gotten on some good teams. I hope the wins carry over to other fest like the attacker and defender. Its how I got attacker by surprise.

I had fun but this was a tough one. Feels like I went mostly half wins, half losses, which is usually not the case for me. Some very close wins and losses, all hard fought. Got pretty close to my gold idol badge so hoping to get it next fest. Didn't really bother with tricolor since it was just repeats and I'm not that fond of the mode anyhow. Felt this was the fest to take advantage of the 10x increased rate, and boy what a rollercoaster it was.
It was fun, except for all the x100 I lost. Still, I got my golden badge in the very last match before the Splatfest was over, and that's exciting.
